Objective:To investigate the association between polymorphisms of estrogen receptor ? (ER?) gene (rs3020444) and perimenopausal syndrome (PS) in patients with liver qi stagnation syndrome (LQSS). Metheds:The ER?T/C genotype in 100 patients of PS of LQSS type (PS-LQSS group),86 patients of PS of non-LSDS type (PS-non-LQSS group) and 100 healthy subjects (control) was determined by polymerase chain reaction and restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) assay. Results:Partitions of ?2 method showed that the higher prevalence of ER?-TT genotypes was noted in PS-LQSS group (?2=8.307,P=0.004),and the higher prevalence of T alleles was noted in PS-LQSS group (?2=7.129,P=0.008). and Multinomial logistic-regression indicated that the odds ratios (OR) of the ER?-TT genotypes vs TC/CC for PS-LQSS was 2.222 (95%CI:1.172-4.744,P=0.015) after adjusting for common miscellaneous factors. Conclusions:It was suggested that ER?-TT genotypes was significantly associated with PS-LQSS,and ESR?-TT may be one of the genes that contribute to PS-LQSS.

Objective To discuss the clinical significance of the changes of endothelin-1 and troponin-1 levels in kawasaki disease after acute stage. Methods 60 patients of kawasaki disease in which 12 cases of patient were complicated with coronary artery disease and 48 cases of patient who were not complicated with coronary artery disease were enrolled this study. Blood plasma endothelin-1 and serum cardiac troponin I were determined in kawasaki disease acute phase and recovery phase and 30 healthy children. Results Acute phase ET-1 and cTnI [(90.19±3.43)ng/L, (1.35±0.14)μg/L] and recovery phase ET-1 and cTnI [(89.09±2.44)ng/L, (1.12±0.11)μg/L ] in coronary artery lesions of (CAL) group had no significant difference(P>0.05). The concentration values of ET-1, cTnI in no coronary artery lesions (NCAL) group of acute phase (64.49±4.78)ng/L,(0.62±0.02)μg/L were different with convalescent phase (50.47±4.49)ng/L,(0.07±0.05)μg/L. There were significant difference between the the two phases (P<0.01). Plasma endothelin-1 and serum troponin I concentrations were positively correlated in acute phase of Kawasaki disease in children (r=0.93,0.96,P<0.01). Conclusions Plasma endothelin-1 and serum cardiac troponin I test for the diagnosis of Kawasaki disease with coronary artery disease may be early indicators of risk monitoring, they are valuable indexes in diagnosis and treatment of Kawasaki disease.

98%. In the pDOR-myb infected HSCs, c-myb expression levels, the cell proliferation, and ? 1-Ⅰ collagen mRNA expression were repressed significantly. CONCLUSIONS: c-myb plays a key role in the activation and proliferation of HSC. c-myb antisense RNA can inhibit cell proliferation and ? 1-Ⅰ collagen mRNA expression in the infected HSC. These data suggest that inhibition of c-myb gene expression would be a potential way for the treatment of liver fibrosis.

Objective To evaluate the clinical significance of sentinel lymph nodes biopsy (SLNB) in breast cancer patients after neoadjuvant chemotherapy. Methods SLNB was performed in sixty primary breast cancer patients after neoadjuvant chemotherapy using a combination of 99mTc- Rituximab and patent blue. SLN was examined by routine pathologic examination and immunohistochemistry. Routine axillary lymph node resection was performed after SLNB. Results The successful rate of SLNB was 95% (57/60). Twenty-three cases of SLN (40% ) were metastasis positive, including 18 positive cases detected by HE staining and 5 by immunohistochemistry. SLN was the only metastasis lymph nodes in 14 out of 23 cases. One case was of false negative metastasis by SLN. The sensitivity and accuracy of SLNB were 96% (23/24) and 98% (56/57), respectively. The specificity was 100% (33/33) , the false negative rate was 4. 3% (1/23) with the negative predictive value being 97% (36/37). The positive predictive value was 100% (24/24). Internal mammary sentinel lymph node lymphoscintigraphy were positive in 11 cases but all the cases were negative in metastases by pathologic examination. Conclusion The combination of isotope imaging agent and patent blue is suitable for primary breast carcinoma after neoadjuvant chemotherapy. Internal mammary sentinel lymph node biopsy is less clinically important.

OBJECTIVETo develop a tumor imaging agent for vasoactive intestinal peptide (VPAC) receptor and evaluate its biological activity and pharmacokinetics of radiolabeled peptide.
METHODSVIP(28) was modified at the carboxyl terminal by the addition of His-tag which was the chelating site of (99m)Tc(I) and the general purification tag for immobilized metal ion affinity chromatography. Biological activity of the modified VIP(28) analogue MY34 was examined in vitro by radiological cell-binding assay, rabbit internal anal sphincter (IAS) smooth muscle relaxing assay and immunocytochemical stain. The pharmacokinetics of this labeled peptide was examined in C57 mice.
RESULTSMY34 could relax the IAS smooth muscle and bind VPAC receptors on tumor cell membranes. (99m)Tc- MY34, with a yield of about 90%, was stable enough for practical use. Both MY34 and VIP(28) could inhibit the binding between the labeled peptide and VPAC receptor. The pharmacokinetics of [(99m)Tc(H(2)O)(3)(CO)(3)]-MY34 was studied in mice conformed well with the two-compartment model (Wi = 1/C(2)), with a t(1)/(2alpha) of 16.35 min and a t(1)/(2beta) of 1013.56 min.
CONCLUSIONMY34 possesses physiological activities and specific receptor binding characteristics similar to those of natural VIP(28).
