1.Polymorph transformation of solid drugs.
Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica 2015;50(5):521-7
For the minimized phase transtorming risk, the most stable polymorph is generally considered as the desirable solid form for pharmaceutical applications. However, occasionally, the stable form may have some shortcomings such as low solubility, dissolution rate and bioavailability, etc. In that case, the metastable form which is kinetically stable at room or lower temperature could be selected. Using metastable form may result in polymorph transformation in pharmaceutical manufacture and storage. Hence, the knowledge of the transformation between solid forms is essential to the development of the drug materials. In this paper, we will review the recent studies in the area of crystal conversion of polymorphs and hydrates, to illustrate some cases to introduce the types, conditions and mechanisms of the crystalline solid transformation.

Objective To explore MRI features of spinal canal enterogenous cysts. Methods The MRI features and differential diagnosis of 5 patients with spinal canal enterogenous cysts proved by surgery and pathology were reviewed retrospectively in combination with literature review. Results Of 5 cases, the cysts localized at cervical spine in 2,lumbar spine in 1,lumbosacral spine in 1 and the end of coccyx between rectum and cuticulum in 1.4 cysts were located at subdura, including anterior to the spinal cord in 3 and posterior to the spinal cord in 1.1 cyst located the end of coccyx between rectum and cuticulum was uncommunicated with spinal canal and 1 case associated with diastematomyelia. The spinal cords were compressed and displaced. The cysts were iso or slightly hyperintensity compared to CSF on T1WI,and similar intensity to CSF on T2WI.The cysts had no markedly enhancement on contrast-enhanced MR scan. Conclusion MRI has important value in diagnosing spinal enterogenous cysts.

Event-related potentials (ERP) is pertinent to medical research and clinical diagnosis. Estimation of single event-related potentials (sERP) is the objective of ERP processing. A new technique, adaptive moving averaging ba sed method for estimation of sERP, is presented. After analysis of the properties of background noise by crossingzero, the window length of moving averaging is adapt ively set according to the maximum width of the impulse noise for each recorded raw data. The experiments are made with real recorded data and the results demon strate that the performance of sERP estimation is excellent. So the method propo sed is suitable to sERP processing.

Objective This study was purposed to analyze and summarize the vein temporary cardiac pacing therapy in patients with acute inferior wall myocardial infarction complicated by high degree atrioventricular block (AVB) . Methods One hundred and twelve patients with acute inferior wall myocardial infarction complicated by high degree AVB were selected as observation and research subjects, and they were treated by vein temporary cardiac pacing therapy. The safety, availability of different kinds of this surgical methods and the relationship between these surgical methods and complication were observed. Results Three out of 60 patients who were treated by ordinary temporary pacing electrode catheter were suffering from cardiac tamponade. No serious complications occurred when 52 patients were treated by floating temporary pacing electrode catheter. Conclusion Floating temporary pacing electrode catheter have already proved safe and effective in the treatment of acute inferior wall myocardial infarction complicated by AVB, and it could decrease the incidence of serious complications such as myocardial perforation.

Objective To evaluate the feasibility of catheter ablation of Para-Hisian Atrial Tachycardia guide by CARTO. Method Catheter ablation guided by CARTO was performed after activation map in three patients with Para-Hisian Atrial Tachycardia. Result Successful ablation was got at right atrial in two patients and at non-coronary in one patient. Conclusion Catheter ablation guided by CARTO is safe and efficient for Para-Hisian Atrial Tachycardia.

Objective To investigate the relationship betwee n tricuspid insufficiency (TI) and the function of the right ventricle, degree o f pulmonary vascular pathological change in patients with rheumatic heart diseas e so as to provide the indication of operation for treating TI. Methods 41 cases of rheumatic heart disease with TI accompanying with bicuspid pathological changes were reviewed. Correlation analysis was done between the s everity of TI and the right ventricular size(RVS), pulmonary artery pressure(PAP ), pulmonary artery resistance(PAR) etc. Results It was found t hat the size of the right ventricle, PAP, PAR were positively correlated to th e degree of TI. Tricuspid annuloplasty should be carried out in patients with RV D>40 mm, PAR >48 kPa*s/L, PAP>8 kPa. Conclusion TI resulted ma inly from insufficient function of the right ventricle and marked patholog ical changes of the pulmonary blood vessels. Doppler echocardiography evaluation for the function of right ventricle and pathological condition of pulmonary blo od vessels might be of significant in deciding whether tricuspid annuloplasty sh ould be performed simutaneously in patients of bicuspid valve replacement.

Objective To analyze the influence of diabetes mellitus (DM) on the outcomes of percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA) with stenting of femoropopliteal artery,in patients with atherosclerotic occlusive disease (ASO).Method Clinical data of inpatients who successfully received PTA with stenting procedures of femoropopliteal artery in Xuanwu Hospital from January 2006 to December 2012 were analyzed retrospectively.Patients were stratified into DM and non-DM groups. Results were compared between the two groups including primary patency (PP),assisted patency (AP),limb salvage and survival using Kaplan-Meier life table and Cox regression analyses.Result Totally 291 patients underwent 332 procedures. There were 214 DM and 118 non-DM limbs.Mean follow-up was 34 months. The 5-year PP was 23.2%,AP was 35.3%,limb salvage was 89.2%,and survival was 69.6%.DM was associated with lower 5-year PP,limb salvage, and survival than non-DM.But there were no significant difference in AP between the two groups.Females were associated with decreased PP than males on Cox multivariate analysis.Hypertension and below tibial diseases were associated with lower limb salvage rate and age is the only predictor of survival rate. Conclusions DM is a risk factor for poor outcomes after PTA with stenting procedures.

Objective To observe the effect of treating asthma in remission stage(Latent phlegm in lung syndrome) withJinlong-Gubenmixture.Methods 108 patients of asthma on remission stage were randomized into a control group and a treatment group. The treatment group was givenJinLong-GuBen mixture. The control group was given nothing for treatment. Both groups were treated for 120 days and follow-up period were 360 days. The change of ACT scores and FEV1 was observed. Results After treatment, ACT scores(t=2.931, 2.618) and FEV1(t=2.011, 2.680) of treatment groups were markedly increased than before the treatment(P<0.05), and the effect of the treatment group was better than the control group(P<0.01). After treatment, the effective rate of treatment group was 93.75%(45/48), and the effective rate of control group was 78.72%(37/47),there existed statistical significance between the two groups(U=-0.4531,P<0.01). Conclusion The theory of latent phlegm in lung has a good guiding function in treating asthma in remission stage(Latent phlegm in lung syndrome).
