Objective:To evaluate arthrography-assisted reduction in minimally invasive treatment of tibial plateau fractures. Methods:From January to May 2019, 9 patients with tibial plateau fracture were treated by arthrography-assisted minimally invasive surgery at Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, Hong-Hui Hospital. They were 6 males and 3 females with an average age of 45.5 years (from 27 to 63 years). According to the Schatzker classification, there were 6 cases of type Ⅱ, one of type Ⅲ and 2 cases of type Ⅳ. Arthrography was used to determine the lowest filling point of contrast medium after intra-articular injection and to ensure satisfactory reduction of articular surface after fracture reduction and bone grafting, followed by minimally invasive percutaneous plate implantation. Comparisons were made between preoperation and 6 months postoperation in the range of knee motion and knee scores of The Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS). Knee X-ray films were evaluated by the Rasmussen imaging system at 6 months postoperation. Collapse of articular surface was recorded pre- and post-operation as well as postoperative complications. Results:All the 9 patients were followed up for 6 to 9 months (average, 7 months). All patients achieved bony union within 12 weeks postoperation. The preoperative knee flexion (60.7°±13.1°) and HSS (51.9±5.7) were significantly improved to 122.4°±10.8° and 84.9±5.3 at 6 months postoperation ( P<0.05), but there was no significant difference between preoperation and 6 months postoperation in knee extension (4.4°±2.5° versus 4.6°±2.9°) ( P>0.05). The collapse of articular surface was improved from preoperative 9.5 mm (from 5 to 15 mm) to postoperative 1.3 mm (from 0 to 3 mm). The Rasmussen imaging scores at 6 months postoperation showed 6 excellent and 3 good. No such postoperative complications occurred as incision infection, joint stiffness, loosening or breakage of implants. Conclusion:Arthrography helps minimally invasive treatment of tibial plateau fracture because it can better display fracture collapse during operation and accurately judge indirect reduction of articular surface.

Objective To evaluate three dimensional fetal heart structure by sono-automatic volume count (SonoAVC) with spatio-temporal image correlation(STIC). Methods The heart volumes datas were acquired by STIC in 32 fetuses with postnatally confirmed diagnoses(20 cases of normal heart, 12 cases of complex congenital heart disease between 20 - 37 gestional weeks), then the volume datas were analyzed offline. SonoAVC software automaticly searched hypoechoic and anechoic structures, and assigned individual colors, and this can be corrected by manual splitting and/or removing and merging of individual segments. Results Individual segments of fetal heat could be separated, and digital casts were generated. The digital casts were obtained successfully in 4cases of transposition of the great arteries(TGA) ,2 cases of tetralogy of Follot,1 case of Ebstein's anomaly, 1 case of double-outlet right ventricle and 20 cases of normal heart. Conclusions Combination of STIC and SonoAVC can demonstrate the size, shape and connection of fetal cardiac cavities and great arteries in three dimensional spatial context. It has the potential both to help in obtaining strctural diagnostic, and to generate 3D visual displays for consultation and teaching.

Haizao Yuhu decoction (HYD) is a formula that has been used for approximately 500 years and famous for its efficiency in treating thyroid-related diseases in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). HYD was first presented by Chen Shi-gong in a famous surgical monograph named Waike Zhengzong during the Ming Dynasty. We conducted the research to investigate the possible pharmacokinetic profile of different prescriptions of HYD in rats, in order to reveal the interactions of Haizao and Gancao drug pair with other herbs in HYD. Liquiritin, naringin, besperidin, peimine, peiminine liquiritigenin, glycyrrhizic acid, hergapten, nobiletin, osthole, glycyrrhetinic acid in blood samples were determined by UPLC-MS/MS. The result revealed tbat Haizao could enhance the peak concentration of glycyrrhizic acid. The other herbs in HYD may promote'the absorption of flavonoids in Gancao in normal rats, but inhibit the absorption of saponins and accelerate their metabolism. Gancao and Haizao drug pair could enhance the bioavailability of hesperidin, peimine, bergapten, nobiletin and osthole and prolong the elimination of peimine and naringin.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the osteoblast-like characteristics of human periodontal ligament cells affected by elastic stress in vitro, and the role of corebinding factor a 1 (cbfa1) in alveolar bone formation during orthodontic tooth movement.
METHODSRat dig-labeled cbfa1 cDNA probe was prepared from SD rat osteoblasts cultured in vitro. Human periodontal ligament cells were cultured on the elastic bottom plate and stimulated by elastic stress using mechanical loading system for cultured cells in vitro. The expression of cbfa1 mRNA was detected by in situ hybridization method.
RESULTSCbfa1 mRNA express in human periodontal ligament cells stimulated by elastic stress and did not express in normal human periodontal ligament cells.
CONCLUSIONIt is suggested that elastic stress plays a role in the differentiation process from human periodontal ligament cells to osteoblast-like cells. Cbfa1 is a transcription factor in alveolar bone remodeling during orthodontic tooth movement.
