Through collecting and collating the development process of traditional Chinese medicine dispensing, the development of modern Chinese medicine dispensing on the basis of experience could be promoted. "Heyaofenji", "Hehe", " Heji" in ancient Chinese medicine, herbal medicine literature and law were collected, and then things were sorted out according to traditional Chinese medicine dispensing theory, skills and legal norms. Firstly, "Tang Ye Jing Fa" is the earliest book which marks the rudiment of traditional Chinese medicine dispensing. Secondly, traditional Chinese medicine dispensing theory formed in "Shen Nong's herbal classic". Thirdly, Zhang Zhongjing's "Treatise on Febrile Diseases" marked the formation of Chinese medicine dispensing skills. Lastly, Provisions in Tang Dynasty law marks the development of traditional Chinese medicine dispensing.

To prepare virus-like particles containing FluA/B mRNA as RNA standard and control in Influenza RNA detection, the genes coding the coat protein and maturase of E. coli bacteriophage MS2 were amplified and cloned into D-pET32a vector. Then we inserted 6 histidines to MS2 coat protein by QuikChange Site-Directed Mutagenesis Kit to construct the universal expressing vector D-pET32a-CP-His. In addition, the partial gene fragments of FluA and FluB were cloned to the down-stream of expressing vector. The recombinant plasmid D-pET32a-CP-His-FluA/B was transformed to BL21 with induction by IPTG. The virus-like particles were purified by Ni+ chromatography. The virus-like particles can be detected by RT-PCR, but not PCR. They can be conserved stably for at least 3 months at both 4 degrees C and -20 degrees C. His-tagged virus-like particles are more stable and easier to purification. It can be used as RNA standard and control in Influenza virus RNA detection.

BACKGROUND:Recently, acellular dermal matrix allograft has been widely used in the repair of oral mucosal defects. But little information is about the heterogeneous acellular dermal matrix (HADM) patch for repair of oral mucosal defects.OBJECTIVE:To investigate the efficacy and biosafety of HADM in the repair of oral mucosal defects.METHODS:In total 71 patients with oral benign or malignant tumors who had oral mucosal or soft tissue defects following tumorectomy were included in this study. These patients comprised 37 males and 34 females, and were averaged 45 years (range,20-70 years old).Of them,42 suffered from benign tumors and 29 from malignant tumors.HADM patches were used for repair of oral mucosal defects. The survival, color, and texture of HADM patches were observed.Shrinkage rate of HADM patches was compared between regions without supports from hard tissues (cheeks, tongue, and mouth floor) and with supports from hard tissues (gingiva, hard palate).RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:All 71 HADM completely survived. No necrosis and infection occurred. At 2 weeks after transplantation,(98.20±5.20) % of patch area survived. At 3 months after transplantation, patches showed similar color to surrounding oral mucosa and most patients had sense of tension to different extents. At 6 months after transplantation, cell creeping substitution and vasculadzation were successfully accomplished in the region of patch transplantation.Patches grew stably, with smooth pink appearance and good elasticity, and no further shdnkage.Patients felt normal.HADM patch shrank primarily at 2 weeks-1 month after transplantation, and tended to be stable at 3 months. There was no significant difference in tissue morphology between surgical region and normal tissue. The HADM shdnkage rate was significantly higher in regions without supports from hard tissues than regions with supports from hard tissues. These findings indicate that HADM patches have advantages in repair of oral mucosal defects including good histocompatibility, wide source, simple manipulation, and able to cover the wound surface in the early state, promote wound surface healing, and reduce scar formation, and can be used as an ideal matedal for repair of oral mucosal defects.

Chinese Journal of Experimental and Clinical Virology 2004;18(3):265-267
OBJECTIVETo study the related factors of the X-ray outcomes in recovered SARS patients.
METHODSThe X-ray results of 93 patients with SARS were studied retrospectively. The possible related factors analyzed were age, sex, body temperature at onset, range of the lesion, glucocorticoid administration time. The data were analyzed by chi square test.
RESULTSAmong all the patients with abnormal X-ray result, 19 were male (54.29%), 16 (45.71%) were female, P > 0.01; 7 (58.33%) were above the age of 45; 28 (34.57%) were below the age of 45, P > 0.01; hyperpyrexia (>/= 39), 26 (50.00%), below 39, 9 (21.95%); multiple-lesion, 22 (52.38%), mono-lesion, 13 (25.49%), P < 0.01; glucocorticoid administration time within 5 days, 22 (38.60%) after 5 days, 12 (33.33%), P > 0.01; within 7 days, 21 (30.00%), after 7 days, 14 (60.87%), P < 0.01.
CONCLUSIONThe X-ray results of SARS were closely related to the severity of the disease (hyperpyrexia and bilateral lung field lesion). There was no significant correlation between X-ray result and the age or sex of the patients. Early use of glucocorticoid (within 5 days after onset), had no remarkable influence on the X-ray result. It was noted, however, the incidence of residual lesion in lung obviously increased if glucocorticoid was administered after 7 days of onset.

Chinese Journal of Pediatrics 2009;47(2):91-95
OBJECTIVEThe role of air pollution on asthma can not be ignored, diesel exhaust particles (DEP) in the air is one of the most important pollutants. This study aimed to investigate the effect and mechanism of DEP inhaled on immediate reaction in the asthma rats.
METHODSixty male Wistar rats of "Clean" grade, 6 - 7 week-old, with an average weight of (140 +/- 20) g were used in this study. The rats were randomly divided into 6 groups, 10 in each. Group A was treated with normal saline attack as a negative control, Group B with ovalbumin attack as a positive control. After ovalbumin attack, groups C, D, E, F continued to inhale DEP for 1 week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks and 4 weeks, respectively. The concentration of DEP was 200 microg/ml, the animals were subjected to inhalation of ultrasound nebulized DEP for 30 min per day. One week after all the attacks were concluded, Group A was stimulated with normal saline for 30 min, other groups were stimulated with ovalbumin. Then the airway resistance was determined with multi-channel signal acquisition and processing system and compared. The changes in neutrophils, eosinophils, and other inflammatory cells of BALF and the pathological changes in lung tissue, including epithelial cells loss, the inflammatory cells infiltration around the airway, basement membrane fibrosis, goblet cell hyperplasia etc. were observed. The concentration of IL-5 and gamma-interferon in the lung tissues, and the changes of serum IgE etc. were determined.
RESULTAirway resistance values of group A, B, C, D, E, F after ovalbumin excitation for 30 min were (3.56 +/- 0.21), (7.06 +/- 0.63), (6.46 +/- 0.38), (7.47 +/- 0.33), (8.87 +/- 0.61), (11.00 +/- 0.69) cm H2O/(ml.s). No airway hyperresponsiveness occurred in group A, while Groups B, C, D, E, F had higher airway resistance than group A, group E and F had higher airway resistance than that of group B, the differences were statistically significant. And the airway resistance was different in each group among 0 min, 10 min, 20 min and 30 min (F = 160.646, 148.901, 162.204, 156.186, P < 0.01 for both). The time of DEP inhalation and the airway resistance was positively correlated (r = 0.948, P < 0.01); IgE concentrations of the serum between groups B, C, D, E, F was not significantly different (P > 0.05), but higher than that of group A (F = 2.639, P < 0.01). The infiltrated inflammatory cells included eosinophils and lymphocytes, etc. The percentages of neutrophil(%) were (4.3 +/- 2.0), (9.7 +/- 5.2), (10.3 +/- 5.6), (13.0 +/- 5.2), (42.6 +/- 18.3), (55.3 +/- 6.9). The groups E and F had higher percentage than Group A and Group B (F = 114.226, P < 0.01). The percentages of eosinophils(%) were 0, (11.9 +/- 3.8), (15.8 +/- 6.3), (13.0 +/- 4.9), (21.1 +/- 5.6), (27.1 +/- 4.8). The difference between Groups B, C, D, E, F and Group A was statistically significant. There was significant difference between groups C, D, E, F and group B (F = 46.462, P < 0.05); Lung tissue biopsy in group A showed that the epithelial cells were intact, no inflammatory cells infiltrations were found around the airways, instead, mainly ciliated columnar epithelial cells and only a small number of goblet cells were seen without basement membrane fibrosis. With the inhalation of DEP, the epithelial cells showed gradual necrosis, disruption and loss, goblet cells showed hyperplasia, and infiltrations with inflammatory cells were seen around the airway. In the lung tissue, concentrations of IL-5 in group B, C, and E were (12.8 +/- 2.8), (17.1 +/- 5.2), (18.6 +/- 4.2) pg/mg, the difference between groups C, E and group B was statistically significant (F = 4.236, P < 0.01), the difference in gamma-interferon concentration among all groups was not statistically significance (F = 1.185, P > 0.05).
CONCLUSIONDEP inhalation increased the airway responsiveness of asthma rats in immediate reaction, promoted the lung epithelial cell loss, inflammatory cell infiltration, basement membrane fibrosis and goblet cell hyperplasia.
