Objective:To explore the correlation between the indexes of tongue coating exfoliated cells and the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) syndromes of patients with chronic gastritis. Methods:One hundred and forty-eight patients with chronic gastritis in our hospital from March 2017 to May 2018 were selected and divided into 4 groups, including 36 patients with spleen and stomach weakness syndrome, 39 patients with liver-stomach discordance syndrome, 32 patients with stomach yin deficiency syndrome, and spleen and 41patients with stomach damp-heat syndrome according to the TCM classification. In addition, another 50 healthy people without cold and heat deficiency syndrome were selected as healthy control group. The maturity index (MI) and mature value (MV) of tongue coating exfoliated cells, chemical indicators and cell cycle of tongue coating exfoliated cells were detected. The spearman rank correlation method was used to analyze the indicators of tongue coating exfoliated cells and TCM syndromes. Results:Compared with the healthy control group, the subjects with spleen and stomach weakness syndrome, liver-stomach discord syndrome, stomach-yin deficiency syndrome, spleen-stomach damp-heat syndrome showed significantly higher percentage of intermediate cells [(14.85 ± 4.03) % vs. (26.47 ± 3.94) %, (22.32 ± 5.41) %, (31.47 ± 3.28) %, (35.62 ± 3.96) %, P<0.05], significantly lower percentage of surface cells [(85.15 ± 5.33) % vs. (73.53 ± 6.47) %, (77.68 ± 5.38) %, (68.53 ± 4.20) %, (64.38 ± 4.39) %, P<0.05], and significantly lower percentage of MV value [(92.61 ± 3.74) % vs. (83.52 ± 3.10) %, (87.64 ± 2.95) %, (79.38 ± 3.21) %, (75.63 ± 2.83) %, P<0.05]. Compared with the healthy control group, the ACP, LDH, SDH, and -SH in tongue coating exfoliated cells of subjects with spleen and stomach weakness syndrome, liver and stomach discordance syndrome, and stomach yin deficiency syndrome were all significantly decreased ( P<0.05), while ACP, LDH, SDH, and -SH in subjects with spleen and stomach damp-heat syndrome were all significantly increased ( P<0.05). the percentage of cells in G1 phase of subjects with gastric yin deficiency and spleen and stomach damp-heat syndrome were significantly decreased ( P<0.05), while the percentage of S phase cells were significantly increased ( P<0.05). Spearman rank correlation analysis showed that each syndrome type was correlated with ACP, LDH, SDH, -SH ( r values were 0.608, 0.712, 0.704, 0.631, respectively, all Ps<0.05). Conclusion:Patients with different TCM syndromes of chronic gastritis may have different morphological changes of tongue coating exfoliated cells, large differences in cell cycle, and different levels of cell biochemical indicators.

OBJECTIVETo reveal the transmembrane signal pathway participating in regulating neuron functions of treating Alzheimer's disease (AD) by acupuncture.
METHODSSAMP8 mice was used for AD animal model. The effect of acupuncture method for qi benefiting, blood regulating, health supporting, and root strengthening on the amount and varieties of transmembrane signal proteins from hippocampal lipid rafts in SAMP8 mice was detected using HPLC MS/MS proteomics method.
RESULTSCompared with the control group, acupuncture increased 39 transmembrane signal proteins from hippocampal lipid rafts in SAMP8 mice, of them, 14 belonged to ionophorous protein, 8 to G protein, 8 to transmembrane signal receptor, and 9 to kinase protein. Totally 3 main cell signal pathways were involved, including G-protein-coupled receptors signal, enzyme linked receptor signal, and ion-channel mediated signal. Compared with the sham-acupuncture group, acupuncture resulted in significant increase of kinase signal protein amount. From the aspect of functions, they were dominant in regulating synapse functions relevant to cytoskeleton and secreting neurotransmitters.
CONCLUSIONThe cell biological mechanism for treating AD by acupuncture might be achieved by improving synapse functions and promoting the secretion of neurotransmitters through transmembrane signal transduction, thus improving cognitive function of AD patients.

Objective To compare the formation and evolution of left ventricular flow between the patients with the bileaflet artificial mechanical mitral valve and normal adult using vector flow mapping (VFM). Methods Thirty healthy controls and 30 severe mitral stenosis patients with bileaflet prosthesis mitral valve were involved. The left ventricular flow and the vortex description parameters were comparatively studied between two groups. Results Two small symmetric rotating vortexes and a big counter-clockwise rotating vortex appeared alternately in the left ventricular through cardiac cycle with control group. In case group, only large vortex could be seen in the mid-late diastolic and maximum vector velocity was faster than that in control group in statistics( P <0. 05). Especially the postoperative direction of blood flow was clockwise shif ting from the interventricular septum to the posterior and lateral left ventricular wall inversely to control group. Conclusions VFM can show the complex vortex flow patterns in left ventricular in the patients with bileaflet prosthesis mitral valve preliminarily and may be useful to assess and improve the function of prosthesis valve in future.

Chinese Journal of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine 2010;30(11):1169-1172
OBJECTIVETo investigate the distributive rule of Chinese medicine syndromes in patients with hyperlipidemia (HLE) in Xinjiang region.
METHODSChinese medicine syndrome of HLE patients were differentiated. The common factors of diagnostic information for dominating HLE were extracted by factor analysis and the syndrome type was determined based on Chinese medicine theory and experiences of experts.
RESULTSThe syndromes in HLE patients of Xinjiang region were mainly the Pi-Shen deficiency with insufficient Jin syndrome (I), the qi-blood deficiency syndrome (II), the Fei-Wei dryness syndrome (III), the phlegm-dampness obstructing Fei syndrome (IV), the dampness-heat accumulation syndrome (V), and the Gan-Shen yin-deficiency with blood-stasis syndrome (VI). Syndrome II was the most commonly encountered one (35.09%), the next were syndrome III (29.82%) and I (13.45%). Scores of the 6 syndromes, which embodied the severity of disease, were different significantly (F = 32.746, P < 0.01), the highest presented in syndrome I and the second in Syndrome VI.
CONCLUSIONSSyndrome in hyperlipidemia patients of Xinjiang region is dominantly the deficiency syndrome, combined with qi-stagnancy and blood-stasis, showing a complex state involving multiple organs and all the qi, blood and Jin-Ye in body.

Objective:To summarize the results and methods of surgical treatment for type A aortic dissection with small true lumen of the descending aorta.Methods:9 patients underwent surgical treatment for type A aortic dissection with small true lumen of the descending aorta between January 2017 and December 2019 were analyzed retrospectively. There were 7 males and 2 females, mean age of (41.6±9.2) years. Acute dissection were 2 cases, and chronic dissection were 7 cases. Preoerative computed tomography was used to diagnose the dissection and evaluate the true lumen of the descending aorta. This procedure was done in all patients via a median sternotomy under hypothermic CPB with SCP. 4-branched prosthetic graft was used to replace the ascending aorta and aortic arch. The procedures involving the descending aorta: Hybrid surgery using TEVAR. Distal intimal flap fenestration. Implanting the intraoperative stent-graft or prosthetic graft at false lumen for second-step operation. Results:There was no in-hospital mortality. Stroke, Spinal cord, visceral ischemia and lower limbs malfunction were not observed. Reintervention was not found in case with acute dissection during follow-up. One patient who reveived fenestration underwent TEVAR, others with chronic dissection underwent thoracoabdominal aortic replacement 3 months after surgery. Conclusion:Hybrid or staged procedures was a suitable alternative to patients with type A aortic dissection with small true lumen of the descending aorta.
