Objective:To establish the cephalometric norms of soft tissue of adults in Xi'an area with normal occlusion.Methods:120 college students with normal occlusion(60 male and 60 female), aged from 18-22 years old in Xi'an city were selected.Lateral cephalometric film was taken by cephalometer for all the subjects at intercuspal occlusion.Then the films were traced on vitriolic paper, and the points were put into computer through digitizier. Statistic analysis were made and the data were compared with norms of adolescents already obtained.Results:Studied by Holdaway analysis,in the males FH-PgG' and Li-Pg' Ls of adults were bigger than those of adolescents, while Ss-Ls,Sn-H,Ls-Si and H-N'pg' were smaller(P0.05).Conclusion:The 3 sets of norms of soft tissue analysis obtained through this study may be applied as the norms of adults with normal occlusion.

Objective:To observe the histological character of distraction osteogenesis(DO) in the mandible of goat using an intraoral tooth-supported distraction device. Methods:8 goats (7-9 months of age) were divided into 4 groups with 2 goats per group. After a bilateral mandibular corticectomy between the second and third premolars, self-produced intraoral tooth-supported distraction devices were cemented. 5 days after operation,the distraction devices were begun to be activated 0.25 mm every 12 hours to advance the anterior segment 8 mm in 16 days. The animals of 32 days group were injected with tetracycline fluorescence labeing at 10 ml/kg once perweek from the beginning of DO.The animals were sacrificed on day 8,16,32 and 48 separately post activation, and tetracycline fluorescence labeling,HE staining and Mallory's 3-color staining were performed. Results:Tetracycline fluorescence labeling showed that there was green-yellow fluorescence labeling new bone within the distraction gap; HE and Mallory's trichrome staining showed that new bone gradually formed from bilateral sides, gradually blending and remodeling. The fiber bundles and newly formed trabeculas and various cells in early phrases showed to be orientation-directed along the axis of distraction force. Conclusion: New bone can be formed and regenerated along the axis of distraction force within the distraction gap.

Objective To explore the relationship between psychological problems in middle school students and parental rearing behaviors.Methods It was a cross-sectional study.By means of cluster sampling,2700 students selected from 7 middle schools in Nanning were investigated with Symptom Check List-90(SCL-90),the Egna Minnen Barndoms Uppfostran(EMBU) scale and the General Information Questionnair.Results The prevalence of psychological problems was 14.5%.Correlation analysis showed that the total score and factor-scores of SCL-90 had positive correlation with parental punishment,rejection,preference and overprotection.The total score and factor-scores of SCL-90 was negatively related to parental emotional concern.Conclusions Psychological problems in middle school students are closely related to parental rearing behaviors,and incorrect parental rearing behavior is one risk factor of psychological problems in the middle school students.

Objecive To evaluate and compare the efficacy of injecting tissue glue and lauromacrogol in modified sandwich method combined with synchronous ligation for patients with esophageal and gastric variceal.Methods 42 cases of patients with esophageal and gastric variceal were randomly divided into synchronous treatment group (22 cases) and sequential treatment group (20 cases). Both group received modiifed sandwich method for gastric varices (lauromacrogol-tissue adhesive-lauromacrogol). Synchronous treatment group meanwhile received synchronization ligation for esophageal varices, but sequential treatment group received sequential ligation after one week. The hemostasis rate, effective rate of varices, rebleeding and complications rate were analyzed.Results There were no signiifcant difference in hemostasis rate, effective rate and rebleeding rate between two groups. The incidence of complications, such as chest and abdominal pain, fever, transient bacteremia were equal between these two groups. No patients had ectopic embolism. The number of ligation device in synchronous treatment group was more than sequential treatment group (8.19 ± 2.01 vs 7.81 ± 1.78,P > 0.05), and the rate of esophageal varices disappearance was inferior to sequential treatment group (59.09% vs 70.00%), however, there were no statistical difference (P > 0.05).Conclusion Endoscopic injection of tissue glue and lauromacrogol synchronization ligation is safe and effective for esophageal and gastric variceal with low complication rates. This method could reduce gastroscopy times and medical expenses, and is worthy of further investigating.

Objective: To study the effects of TNF, IL-1 and IL-6 on bone resorption in cultured calvaria of newborn mice. Methods: Calvaria of newborn mice was cultured and exposed to TNF, IL-1 or IL-6 at various dosages for 48 hours (treated grooups), or without the above agents(control). Calcium concentration in culture medium was determined by atomic absorption spectrum apparatus. The calcium concentration of the treated groups versus that of the control was used as the absorption index. Results: The absorption indexes in the medium of treated groups were 1.92～3. 14 or 1. 85 ～ 3. 34 when the bone was exposed to TNF or IL-6 at 10 ～ 320 ng/ml, those were 1.36 ～ 2.32 when the bone was exposed to IL-1 at 2～64 ng/ ml. Conclusion: TNF, IL-1 and IL-6 may stimulate bone resorption of calvaria in newborn mice.

Objective: To observe the proliferation of periodontal ligament fibroblasts(PDLFs) under mechanical stretching. Methods: PDLFs were stretched by 6 cycles/min(5 seconds stretching and 5 seconds relaxing) with 12% stretching force through self-produced cultured cell loading system. At experimental time point 24,48 and 96 hours, the cells were counted and flow cytometry was employed to observe the proliferation of PDLFs. Objective To explore the clinic value and efficacy of color Doppler ultrasound guided percutaneous microwave/radiorequency thermoablation for secondary hyperparathyroidism. Methods Fifty-six cases of secondary hyperparathyroidism who came from nephrology department of Beijing Friendship Hospital in the period of September 2012 to September 2013 were treated by color Doppler ultrasound guided percutaneous microwave/radiorequency thermoablation. One hundred and thirty-eight glands underwent this treatment and were evaluated by contrast enhanced ultrasound before, during and after operation. The levels of serum parathyroid hormone (PTH) were measured before and at 1 week, 1 month, 6 months and 1 year after treatment. Results The whole 56 cases achieved 1 month follow-up and 34 cases and 12 cases achieved 6 months and 1 year follow-up, respectively. Two special cases had been excluded. The PTH levels of 54 cases were signiifcantly different between after and before treatment [(369.5±183.4) ng/L vs (1321.6±471.4) ng/L, t=10.727, P=0.000]. The PTH levels continued to fall at the ifrst week after treatment, but there was no statistical signiifcance between the ifrst week and the ifrst day after treatment [(324.6±172.8) ng/L vs (369.5±183.4) ng/L], while there was signiifcantly different between the ifrst week after treatment and before treatment [(324.6±172.8) ng/L vs (1321.6±471.4) ng/L, t=9.364, P=0.000]. The PTH levels increased from (324.6±172.8) ng/L to (332.5±164.9) ng/L at 1 week and 1 month after ablation, while there was no signiifcant difference.But there is signiifcantly different between 1 month after treatment and before treatment (t=11.348, P=0.000). The PTH level at 6 months after treatment [(205.2±136.3) ng/L] and 1 year after treatment [(177.1±171.5) ng/L] had signiifcant difference compared with the value before treatment (t=8.737, P=0.000; t=7.655, P=0.017). Conclusion Color Doppler ultrasound guided percutaneous microwave/radiorequency thermoablation can be considered as a feasible and effective nonsurgical alternative treatment for secondary hyperparathyroidism patients.
