Chinese Journal of Applied Physiology 2015;31(2):123-126
OBJECTIVETo observe the effect of Oxymatrine on left cardiac function and ventricular remodeling in rabbits after acute myocardial infarction.
METHODSLigation of the left anterior descending artery was adopted to establish acute myocardial infarction model, forty eight rabbits were randomized into the sham operation group, model group and Oxymatrine group. Eight models were successfully established in each group. the sham operation group and model group were given conventional feed. Oxymatrine were gavage administration 0.5 ml/100 g, once a day, lasted for 4 weeks. Respectively in postoperative week, and three weeks, to observe the Oxymatrine on cardiac output (CO), left ventricular end systolic pressure (LVESP), left ventricular end-diastolic pressure (LVEDP), left indoor pressure change rate peak (dp/dtmax)), and left ventricular cavity internal diameter (D), ventricular weight index (VWI), ventricular weight (VW).
RESULTSLeft ventricular anterior wall was from red to deep purple, electrocardiogram showed II guide ST-segment camber up ≥ 0.25 mv. Postoperative week in Oxymatrine group compared with model group, LVESP increased significantly (P < 0.01), LVEDP decreased obviously (P < 0.01); After three weeks in Oxymatrine group compared with model group, VW, VWI decreased (P < 0.05), D significantly reduced (P < 0.01); LVESP increased significantly (P < 0.01), LVEDP decreased obviously (P <0.01); dp/dt(max), CO increased (P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONAfter acute myocardial infarction in rabbit Oxymatrine can improve the left ventricular reconstruction parameters, increase cardiac output, and improve cardiac function.

The counterpart support by urban hospitals to rural hospitals is an important measure of the healthcare reform and health poverty alleviation, especially useful for reform of county-level public hospitals.A study of the policy development and an analysis on the development status quo of 16 county-level public hospitals following their acceptance of such support in Hunan and Hubei province, confirmed the practical significance of such counterpart support. The authors also found defects in personnel training, technology innovation and policy fine-tuning, in need of improvements.

In recent years, the development and widespread application of transcriptome sequencing (RNA-seq) technology has provided powerful tools for direct sequencing and identification of possible fusion transcripts. With the increase in reports of large caese about RNA-seq, the real fusion gene map of hematological malignancies revealed by RNA-seq is becoming clearer. This article introduces the related research progress in conjunction with the reports at the 62nd American Society of Hematology Annual Meeting.

Objective To better understand the clinical features and the diagnosis of monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance (MGUS) associated with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).Methods A case of MGUS with SLE were described including clinical manifestations and pathologic data.Literatures were also reviewed. Results The patient was admitted because of proteinuria.Laboratory findings showed monoclonal gammopathy. However, both bone marrow exam and iconography showed no signs of multiple myeloma.Lupus nephritis Ⅳ + Ⅴ was proved by kidney biopsy.Prednisone and tacrolimus were used with significant clinical improvement. Conclusion MGUS associated with SLE is not rare.MGUS criteria based on 2003 international MM working group should be used to differentiate MGUS from MM.Monoclonal protein level, plasma cell in bone marrow and free light chain are risk factors for MM progression.Treatment is based on lupus disease activity and organ damage severity.

To study the related substances in nicergoline, electrospray positive ionization high resolution TOF/MS was used for the determination of the accurate mass and elemental composition of the related substances. Triple quadrupoles tandem MS/MS was employed for the determination of the fragmentations of the parent ions. 16 related substances were detected and identified to be eight synthetic by-products and eight degradation products, by using impurity references matching, product mass spectra fragmentations elucidation, and verified further according to synthetic processes and stress testing results. The results obtained are valuable for nicergoline manufacturing process control and quality assurance.

Objective To investigate and compare the clinical efficacies of acupuncture at myofascial trigger points and extracorporeal shock wave and their effects on the quality of life in patients with myofascial pain syndrome. Method Seventy-eight patients with myofascial pain syndrome were allocated, using a random number table, to acupuncture and shock wave groups, 39 cases each. The two groups received acupuncture at myofascial trigger points and extracorporeal shock wave, respectively. The clinical therapeutic effects were compared between the two groups of patients after 20 consecutive days of treatment. The quality of life score was recorded in the two groups of patients before and after one month of treatment. Result The VAS score (1.57±0.83), the PRI score (1.87±1.06) and the PPI score (0.94±0.72) in the acupuncture group were lower than the VAS score (2.16±0.95),the PRI score (2.68±1.14) and the PPI score (1.53±0.81) in the shock wave group. All had a statistically significant difference (P<0.05). The VAS score, the PRI score and the PPI score decreased significantly in the two groups of patients after treatment compared with before. Eight scaled scores: physical functioning, physical role functioning, bodily pain, social role functioning, vitality, general health perceptions, emotional role functioning and mental health increased significantly in the two groups of patients after treatment compared with before (P<0.05) and increased more in the acupuncture group (P<0.05). The marked efficacy rate was 84.6% in the acupuncture group, which was significantly higher than 61.5% in the shock wave group (P<0.05). Conclusion Both acupuncture and extracorporeal shock wave therapy have a marked clinical effect on myofascial pain syndrome. It can further improve the quality of life in the patients.

Objective To investigate cell proliferation and invasiveness of cervical cancer HeLa229 cell after knockdown of NF-?B signaling pathway by P65 siRNA.Methods RNA interference was employed for specific inhibition of the expression of P65.HeLa229 cell was divided into transfected group and untransfected group.Cell viability was detected by MTT after the HeLa229 cells were transfected with or without P65 siRNA for 24,48,72 h.The sensitivity to 5-Fu of the HeLa229 cell, transfected with or without P65 siRNA,was evaluated also by MTT.Boyden chamber experiment in vitro was used to detect the invasion of HeLa229 cell. Results P65 siRNA inhibited the cell proliferation as compared with the untransfected cells.Proliferations of both cells transfected with and without P65 siRNA were inhibited in a concentration-dependent manner, while at the same concentration of 5-Fu the viability of transfected HeLa229 cells was significantly suppressed(P

Objective To investigate the value of wide-detector Revolution CTA with 70 kV tube voltage and prospective ECG-gated technique in diagnosis of congenital heart disease (CHD) in infants and children. Methods Forty-five infants and children with complicated CHD underwent echocardiography and wide-detector Revolution CTA.According to the sur gical findings, the diagnostic efficiency of Revolution CTA and echocardiography were calculated and compared. The radiation effective dose (ED) and iodine dose were calculated. The quality of CT images was also evaluated. Results There were 25 separate cardiovascular anomalies including 6 congenital cardiac structure anomalies and 19 congenital extracardiac vascular anomalies. For congenital extracardiac vascular anomalies, there was significant difference of diagnostic accuracy and the detectable rate between CTA (99.77% [853/855],97.73% [86/88]) and echocardiography (98.71% [844/855],88.64% [78/88];x2 =6.28,5.72,both P<0.05).The average of ED was (0.20±0.05)mSv and the mean iodine dose was (2.06± 1.09)g.All CT images were qualified for diagnosis. Conclusion The wide-detector Revolution CTA,with the prospective ECG-gated technique and 70 kV tube voltage, can provide high accuracy for assessment of CHD in infants and children, which can keep good image quality, with the low radiation dose.
