Objective To study the effec of nursing intervention on the quality of life in convalescent schizophrenia patients. Method 80 patients with schizophrenia were divided into observed group (n=40) and control group (n=40).The patients in observe group received nursing intervention.Patients were evaluated by Positive and Negative Symptoms Scale (PANSS) and General Quality of Life Inventory (GQOLI) at the time of beginning the trial and after half of a year of the intervention respectively. Results After the nursing intervention, the PANSS scores in observe group are significant lower than those of control group (P

Particle radiotherapy using proton and heavier-ion beam was first proposed for clinical application by Robert Wilson in 1946. Compared to conventional photon radiation, proton and heavier-ion beam has significant physical advantage, and heavier-ion has unique biological characteristics. With the development of accelerator and radiation technique, it is being investigated for tumor treatment in many clinical centers. This article reviews the current status of clinical application of particle therapy using proton and heavier-ion beam in digestive system tumor.

Objective To explore the risk factors of the recurrence of ischemic stroke and to supply theoretical basis for secondary prevention. Methods 612 patients with ischemic stroke were enrolled in the study and they were followed-up for 2 years to record the stroke recurrence.According to whether the recurrent stroke occurred, all the patients were divided into the recurrent group and the non-recurrent group.Logistic regression model was used to analyze the risk factors. Results Of 612 patients,90 patients suffered from recurrent stroke and the recurrence rate after 2 years was 14.7%.In the recurrent group, age, smoking, hypertension, diabetes, fibrillation atrial history and homocysteine level were significantly higher than those in non-recurrent group (P < 0.05),compliance of anti-platelet drugs was significantly lower than that in non-recurrent group (P < 0.01).Multivariate analysis suggested that age, smoking, hypertension, diabetes, atrial fibrillation history, homocysteine level and compliance of anti-platelet drugs were associated with recurrence of ischemic stroke (OR value =11.14,47.38,53.11,111.12,53.11,40.98,90.12,all P < 0.05).Conclusion Age,smoking, hypertension, diabetes, atrial fibrillation history, homocysteine level and compliance of anti-platelet drugs are the independent risk factors of recurrent stroke. To enhance the interference of these risk factors are helpful for preventing the recurrence of stroke.

Chinese Journal of Analytical Chemistry 2015;(11):1749-1753
A new method was developed for the separation and determination of inosine monophosphate (IMP) by ion chromatography (IC) with suppressed conductivity detection. Separation was achieved on an anion-exchange column Ionpac AS11-HC of high capacity within a short time. 30 mmol/L KOH produced by an EGC-KOH eluent generator was used for isocratic elution. No interferences existed between the seven common inorganic anions and IMP. Under the optimum conditions, the linear range of the calibration curve for IMP was 1. 0-200 mg/L, with correlation coefficient ( R2 ) of 0. 999. The relative standard deviations (RSDs) for retention time, peak height and peak area of IMP were 0. 16%, 0. 94% and 0. 86%, respectively, indicating good reproducibility of the method. The method was successfully applied to the determination of IMP in meat products, with spiked recovery ranging from 86. 0% to 110. 0%. This simple, accurate and reliable method could be served as a rapid and effective analytical tool for meat flavoring research.

Professor Liu Shenlin is one of the famous traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) oncologists. Through his own experience in clinical practice , Prof . Liu has put forward the theory that the onset of gastric cancer is based on spleen deficiency , and presented with cancerous toxin , namely the theory of spleen-deficiency and toxin-accumulation. In addition , he had conducted clinical as well as basic research on this theory , which had received great progress. This article was aimed to conclude and explore the theory postulated by Prof. Liu in order to improve the clinical effects of TCM treatment in gastric cancer .

Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2009;29(6):709-711
Objective To measure and conduct statistic analysis of normal eyes by Pentacam. Methods Two hundred and twenty-one healthy people (442 eyes) underwent examinations of Pentacam, and they were divided into 5 groups by age: <40 years old group (50 people, 100 eyes), 40-49 years old group (50 people, 100 eyes), 50-59 years old group (50 people, 100 eyes), 60-69 years old group (50 people, 100 eyes) and >70 years old group (21 people, 42 eyes). Results With the increase of age, there were significant differences in chamber volume, chamber angle and anterior chamber depth among age groups (P<0.05). In elder age groups, there were significant differences in these parameters between males and females (P<0.01). Conclusion Anterior segment parameters are significantly correlated with age. After 60 years old, the anterior segment parameters become significantly different with gender.

Chinese Journal of Experimental Ophthalmology 2011;29(2):162-164
Background Refractive lens exchange is one of corrective surgeries for high myopic eyes and is concerned in clinic recently. Its clinical value is worthy of consideration. Objective This study was to investigate the efficacy and safety of refractive lens exchange for high myopic eyes. Methods Phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation was performed on 124 eyes of 65 patients with high myopia. The mean age of these patients was 51. 4±8. 57 years old,and the preoperative corrected visual acuity was 4. 11±0. 51. The mean spherical equivalent was ( -20. 17±5. 34) D. The mean axial length was (31. 33±2. 08) mm and intraocular lens power 2. 88 D. The follow-up time was 31 months. The uncorrective visual acuity, best corrective visual acuity, the spherical equivalent lens and complications were observed after operation. Written informed consent was obtained prior to the surgery. Results The uncorrective visual acuity improved after the operation in all the eyes. The uncorrective visual acuity was ≥0.5 in 15 eyes(12% ). The best corrected visual acuity improved in 114 eyes (92% ) following the surgery and that of 64 eyes (51. 6% ) was 2s 0. 5. The mean postoperative spherical equivalent was ( -2. 57 ± 1. 76 ) D in the entire follow-up duration. Posterior capsular opacification was found in 58 eyes (46. 7% ) and received laser capsulotomy. Retinal detachment occurred in 4 eyes throughout the follow-up period. Conclusion Refractive lens exchange is an effective and safe method for high myopic eyes. But preoperative fundus examination and long-term postoperative follow-up should be carried out to prevent the complications.
