Intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) is a commonly used technology in percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) procedure. It has higher resolution and repeatability, and more importantly, it can make the vascular structure visiable which shows the plaque morphology and component, compared with traditional coronary angiography. Most researches indicated that IVUS can help doctors find out the optimized stent size, stent malapposition, stent disexpansion, and procedure complication, thus reduce the incidence of restenosis and stent thrombosis. IVUS has been widely applied in research about the predictors of PCI complication, these results benefit us to make better decision on PCI procedure. In this article, we reviewed the studies based on IVUS technology during the last 10 years and summrized according to restenosiss and stent thrombosis with BMS (bare metal stent) and DES (drug eluting stent) .

Progress in Biochemistry and Biophysics 2006;0(05):-
ING1 family is a candidate for tumor suppressor, which has three splicing isoforms named p47ING1a,p33ING1b,and p24ING1c. Study of the effect of different isoforms of ING1 on HeLa cells proliferation and its molecular mechanism would help further identifying the functional relationship of ING1 isoforms, and finding important genes regulated by ING1. Cell growth curve and cell cycle analysis were used to observe the effect of ING1a,ING1b,and ING1c on HeLa cells growth, and the result indicated that they could all inhibit HeLa cells growth by arresting cell cycle at G0/G1 phase. PCR method was used to construct the PHD domain deletions of ING1a and ING1b. ING1a,ING1b,ING1c and the PHD domain deletions 1a?C and 1b?C were then overexpressed in HeLa cells. p16INK4a,PTEN/p27Kip1 and p53/p21Waf1 protein levels were detected by Western blot. The result showed that ING1a,ING1b,ING1c,and 1a?C except for 1b?C induced p16INK4a protein expression,in which ING1c had the most powerful effect. Luciferase assay identified that overexpression of pcDNA3.1(+)-1a?C facilitated p16INK4a transcription through enhancing p16INK4a promoter activity, while pcDNA3.1(+)-1b?C repressed the p16INK4a promoter activity . In a word,it was found for the first time that except for the p53/p21Waf1 pathway, three splicing isoforms of ING1 family could also inhibit HeLa cells proliferation though upregulation of p16INK4a and PTEN,and the PHD domain deletion of ING1a enhanced p16INK4a transcription. These findings provide new clews to further study on the mechanisms of ING1 family suppressing cancer cells growth.

This study was aimed to evaluate the clinical effect of 66 yin-deficiency acne cases treated with body constitution adjustment using acupuncture and moxibustion. In this research, 66 acne patients with the body con-stitution of yin-deficiency were selected . These patients were randomly divided into two groups ( 33 every group ) . The acupuncture treatment group was treated by acupuncture and local treatment. And moxibustion treatment group was treated by indirect moxibustion and local treatment. The treatment was given twice a week. And the improvement condition of acne skin lesions and yin-deficiency body constitution were evaluated after 12-week treatment. The results showed that certain curative effects were received in both groups. However, the moxibustion treatment group had higher curative effect compared with the acupuncture treatment group. There were significant statistical differences between two groups ( P < 0 . 05 ) , which meant moxibustion with local treatment had a higher curative effect than acupuncture with local treatment to acne. In the aspect of skin lesion improvement, according to the statistics, the moxibustion treatment group were statistically significant compared with acupuncture group (P< 0.05), which meant more obvious improvement of skin in the moxibustion treatment group. In the aspect of body constitution, the body constitution scores in both groups were significantly declined and the moxibustion treatment group was more obvious. There was statistical significance between two groups (P < 0.05), which meant patients in the moxibustion treatment group obtained a more obvious body constitution improvement. After the treatment, follow-up was given to all patients for 4 weeks. The results showed that both the acne skin lesion con-dition and yin-deficiency body constitution score were decreased and not achieve the recurrence diagnostic stan-dard. It showed that acupuncture and moxibustion are able to activate the self-regulation and disease resistibility of the body. It was concluded that acupuncture and moxibustion not only improve skin lesion of acne patients with the body constitution of yin-deficiency with inner heat , but also regulate yin-deficiency body constitution . Moxibustion had higher efficacy in the treatment of yin-deficiency with inner heat acne than acupuncture.

OBJECTIVE To study the molecular mechanism of cisplatin(DDP)by which HeLa cell growth and proliferation are inhibited. METHODS Cultured HeLa cells were treated with DDP 0.02-75 μmol · L-1 for 24 or 48 h. CCK-8 assay was used to determine the cell proliferation. The wound scratch assay was used to detect the cell migration and invasion. Flow cytometry was used to detect the cell cycle arresting. q-PCR was used to test the expression of metastasis suppressor gene 1 (MTSS1)mRNA. Western blot was used to determine protein levels of MTSS1,phosphorylated-extra?cellular signal-regulated kinase(p-ERK) and phosphorylated-serine-threonine kinase(p-AKT). RESULTS Following the treatment with DDP for 24 or 48 h,the proliferation of HeLa cells was inhibited significantly (P<0.05),the value of the half inhibitory concentration (IC50) of cells was 4.14 and 11.82 μmol · L-1. Migration and invasion activity of HeLa cells were reduced according to the wound scratch assay(P<0.05). Flow cytometry results showed that the cell cycle was arrested at S phase. q-PCR results showed that MTSS1 mRNA expression changed with DDP in a concentration-dependent manner (r24 h=-0.965,P<0.01;r48 h=-0.953,P<0.01). Western blot showed that the protein levels of MTSS1,p-ERK and p-AKT expression declined significantly with the increase in DDP concentrations(p-ERK:r24 h=-0.875,P<0.01;r48 h=-0.966,P<0.01. p-AKT:r24 h=-0.831,P<0.01;r48 h=-0.863,P<0.01. MTSS1:r24 h=-0.969,P<0.01;r48 h=-0.988,P<0.01). CONCLUSION DDP treatment inhibits HeLa growth and proliferation by interfering with the MTSS1 expression and disturbing the activation of ERK and AKT signaling pathways.
