Objective To evaluate the serum 25-hydroxy vitamin D 3 level in newly diagnosed type 2 diabe-tes,and its relationship with function of islet beta cell .Methods 60 newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes patients and 48 normal glucose tolerance healthy control cases were selected .The level of serum 25-hydroxy vitamin D3 of two groups were measured using the way of high performance liquid chromatograph .The difference was compared between two groups.Insulin resistance index(HOMA-IR) and islet beta cell secrete index(HOMA-β) was used to respectively es-timate insulin sensitivity and islet beta cell function in type 2 diabetes group .The correlation was analyzed between 25-hydroxy vitamin D 3 and fasting blood glucose ,HOMA-IR,HOMA-β.Results The level of serum 25-hydroxy vita-min D3 (28.68 ±1.61) ng/mL in type 2 diabetes group was significantly lower than that of control group (41.30 ± 1.12)ng/mL(t=3.47,P<0.01).There is negative correlation between 25-hydroxyl vitamin D3 and fasting glucose (r=0.48,P<0.05).There was positive correlation between 25-hydroxy vitamin D3 and HOMA-IR(r=0.52,P<0.05).There was no correlation between 25-hydroxy vitamin D3 and HOMA-β(r=-0.06,P>0.05).Conclusion The level of 25-hydroxy vitamin D 3 was significantly low in newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes patients .Low serum 25-hydroxyl vitamin D 3 level affects islet beta secretion cell function ,the supplementation of vitamin D 3 may be a simple and effective method to reduce the ocurrence of type 2 diabetes .

Objective To explore the effects of pelvic floor electrical stimulation (PES) on constipation in patients with spinal cord injury (SCI). Methods 40 patients with SCI were randomly divided into conventional group and PES group with 20 patients in each group. The conventional group was treated with health education, psychological care, diet care and massage. The PES group was treated with PES in addition.They were assessed with symptoms of constipation and efficacy assessment score. Results The symptoms of constipation and efficacy assessment score decreased significantly in the PES group (P<0.001), but not in the conventional group (P>0.05). And the score was lower in the PES group than in the conventional group (P<0.01). Conclusion PES can help eliminate constipation in patients with SCI.

OBJECTIVEOptimize the technic condition of Duzhong Jiangya prescription with Semi-bionic Extraction.

METHODUsing homogeneous design, under the same materials granularity, decoction temperature, consumption of water, filtration, concentration, and taking aucubin, hydrochloric acid stachydrine, maloicacid, baicalin, ethanol extract, dry extract as the indexes, the results were comprehensive considered to optimize the semi-bionic extraction condtions.

RESULTThe optimized SBE extraction conditions are the following: pH values of the water for the thrice extraction is 5.845 3, 7.496 1, 8.011 7, and the total extraction time is 3.418 0 h.

CONCLUSIONConsidering the fact of manufacture, the SBE extraction conditions are the following: pH values of the water for the thrice extraction is 6.0, 7.5, 8.0, and the thrice extraction time is 1.5, 1.0, 1.0 h.

Patients with multiple myeloma (MM) have increased constantly in recent years, but treatment for patients with MM is currently unsatisfactory and it is necessary to develop new complementary therapies. Dendritic cells (DCs) are specialized antigen-presenting cells capable of initiating and regulating immune responses. Vaccination with tumor antigen-pulsed DCs has shown to be safe and possesses therapeutic effect against many tumors. In this review, the various types of MM-associated antigens and clinical trials on DC-based immunotherapy in MM are summarized, the development of DC immunotherapy for MM patients in future trials is discussed.

Objective To analyze the current situation of institutional care for people with disabilities in Shanghai, China. Methods Sec-ondary data were collected from the synthetical information platform of Shanghai Disabled Persons' Federation, including data about the res-idential institutions and people with disabilities living in the institutions from 2004 to 2015. Results The number of residential institutions and people with disabilities showed an increasing tendency from 2004 to 2015. At the end of 2015, there was 368 residential institutions in Shanghai, providing institutional care for 5821 people with disabilities. People in the institutions were mainly with intelligence disability and mental disability, and mainly in 35 to 59 years old. Conclusion The institutional care for people with disabilities was generally in a good condition in Shanghai and met people's needs.

Objective: To detect the systolic and diastolic velocity in patients with idiopathic premature ventricular beat(PVB)by pulsed wave-tissue Doppler imaging (PW-TDI) techniques.Methods: There were two groups involved in this study. PVB group,n=30,patients with idiopathic PVB,and Control group,n=30,of healthy subjects. The changes of cardiac function were measured and compared between two groups by the index of myocardial motion velocity using PW-TDI techniques.Results: A total of 7 sites were studied,there were no significant differences in systolic peak velocities (Sm),time velocity integral (TVI),peak velocity of the early relaxation wave (Em),peak velocity of the later relaxation wave (Am) and Em/Am ratio (Em/Am) between the Control group and PVB group in the normal sinus beat (P＞0.05).Compared with the normal sinus beat,Sm,TVI,Em and Em/Am were significantly lower in PVB (P<0.01),while Sm,TVI,Em in the post-PVB sinus beat were significantly higher than that in normal sinus beat (P<0.01). However,there were no significant differences of Am in each site among the normal sinus beat,PVB and the post-PVB sinus beat. Conclusion: PVB and PVB-induced compensational interval could significantly influence the systolic and diastolic function of the ventricle.
