Glucagon-like peptide 1(GLP-1) is an important member of incretin.Takingitoralymay stimulate the terminal ileum and colon L cel s to secrete GLP-1. After GLP-1 biding specific receptor GLP-1 receptor ( GLP-1R), it exerts the roles of promoting glucose-dependent insulin secretion, inhibiting glucagon secretion, and decreasing plasma glucagon level. The molecular mass of GLP-1 is relatively smal er and can directly cross the blood-brain barrier, and both central and peripheral nervous systems have the GLP-1R expression. GLP-1 significantly improves neurological deficits and reduces infarct volume. It may exert neuroprotective effect through the mechanisms of inhibiting the inflammatory response, oxidative stress, and cel apoptosis. This article review s the discovery of GLP-1, its biological characteristics and neuroprotective effect in cerebral ischemia.

AIM: To investigate the anti-proliferative and apoptosis-inducing effect of honokiol on U937 cell line in vitro. METHODS: Proliferation of U937 cells and PBMCs were analyzed by MTT assay. Flow Cytometry and cell morphological observation were performed to find out whether honokiol could affect cell cycle and induce apoptosis of U937 as well as PBMCs in vitro. RT-PCR and Western blotting techniques were used to detect the changes in mRNA expression and protein production of bcl-2 and bax in U937 cells after treated with honokiol. RESULTS: Honokiol could significantly inhibit the proliferation of U937 cells at IC_ 50 concentration of 11.8 ?g/mL, but slightly inhibit the proliferation of PBMCs, at IC_ 50 concentration of 40.3 ?g/mL, respectively. Most honokiol-treated cells were arrested at G_0/G_1 phase. CONCLUSION: Honokiol could inhibit the proliferation and induce apoptosis of U937 cells, while has little effect on the proliferation and survival of PBMCs. Bax might be involved in the gene regulation related to honokiol-induced apoptosis.

OBJECTIVE:To establish a method for the determination of 1,1-ethanediol diacetate and acetic acid in flurbiprofen axetil. METHODS:Capillary gas chromatography was performed on the column of DB-FFAP capillary column by temperature pro-grammed,the inlet temperature was 150 ℃,flame ionization detector was chosen,detector temperature was 290 ℃,carrier gas was nitrogen at a flow rate of 1.0 ml/min,injection volume was 1.0 μl,and split ratio was 5∶1. RESULTS:1,1-ethanediol diacetate and acetic acid were well-separated;and the linear ranges was 0.78-19.55 g/ml(r=0.999 7)and 7.69-64.11 μg/ml(r=0.999 3),re-spectively;the limits of quantification were 0.78 μg/ml and 7.69 μg/ml,and limits of detection were 0.23 μg/ml and 2.56 μg/ml for 1,1-ethanediol diacetate and acetic acid respectively;RSDs of precision and reprocudibility tests were lower than 3%,and stability test was lower than 5%;recoveries were 97.6%-100.4%(RSD=0.94%,n=9)and 93.6%-100.4%(RSD=0.94%,n=9);and the test results for 3 batches of flurbiprofen axetil were met the specification. CONCLUSIONS:The method is simple,accurate and re-liable,and can be used for the determination of 1,1-ethanediol diacetate and acetic acid in flurbiprofen axetil.

Objective To determine the best method to detect thermo-acidophilic bacteria in apple juice concentrate. Methods L 16 (4 5) orthogonal test was applied to analyse the four factors, including culture medium, ways of heat shock, dilution degrees of AJC and pH value. The results were comprehensively scored according to the number of colonies. Results The isolated bacteria were polymorphous. A better method was as follows: after being diluted to 1∶10, the AJC was submitted to a heat shock at 80 ℃ for 10 min, and then spread on k agar with a pH value of 3.5. Samples were incubated at 45 ℃ for 3 days, and then enumerated. Conclusion This method can considerably improve the sensitivity of detecting thermo-acidophilic bacteria in apple juice concentrate.

OBJECTIVE:To establish a method for the dissolution determination of Benidipine hydrochloride tablets.METHODS:According to Chinese Pharmacopeia(2005 edition),Benidipine hydrochloride tablets were added into hydrochloride acid 0.1 mo?lL-1 at rotation speed of 50 r?min-1,then samples were obtained after 30 min.The absorbance of samples was detected at detection wavelength of 359 nm and accumulative dissolution was calculated.RESULTS:The linear range of benidipine hydrochloride was 5～30?g?mL-1(r=0.999 9)with an average recovery of 99.76%(RSD=0.47%).The accumulative dissolutions of 3 batches of samples were all above 80%.CONCLUSIONS:Established method is simple and reliable for the dissolution determina-tion of Benidipine hydrochloride tablets.

Objective To observe the effect of application of Lamaze childbirth method in childbirth. Methods The observation group(110 cases)was trained by Lamaze childbirth method in late pregnancy period. The control group (110 cases) was not trained by Lamase childbirth method in antepartum period, and were given regular observation and nursing. Mastering of natural childbirth knowledge, pain intensity, childbirth time, mode of delivery and amount of bleeding post- childbirth 2h were observed in the two groups. Results The observation group mastered more natural birth knowledge than the control group, childbirth pain was obviously reduced, natural birth rate was higher than the control group, the first and second labor time was shorter than the control group, the amount of bleeding was obviously less than the control group 2 hours post childbirth. Conclusions Pregnant women need Lamaze childbirth method training before childbirth and instruction of maternity nurses. These may relieve pain, shorten childbirth time and reduce amount of bleeding post childbirth by application of Lamaze childbirth method.

ObjectiveTo explore the effects of fluoxetine on special learning and memory and serum S100B level in depressed model rats.MethodsAdult male SD rats were divided into six groups randomly according random digits table:control group ( A ),depressed model group ( B ),group of depressed model treated with single dose of fluoxetine for one day ( C ),group of depressed model treated with fluoxetine for one week (D),group of depressed model treated with fluoxetine for two weeks (E) and group of depressed model treated with fluoxetine for four weeks (F),ten rats in each group.Except control group,others were subjected to forced-swimming for four weeks,15 min a day.Fluoxetine (10 mg/kg) was given intragastric administration to group C-F before swimming everyday.Morris water maze ( MWM ) was used to measure the spatial learning and memory of rats.ELISA was used to determine the level of serum S100B.ResultsIn the hiding platform test of MWM,there was significant longer of escape latency (EL) in B group than that in A group(P ＜ 0.05 ).And the EL in all groups treated with fluoxetine became shorter with the prolonging of treatment.In the probe test,there were significant longer time in target quadrant in D,E,F than in other quadrant (F =5.162,P ＜ 0.01 ).The levels of serum S100B were lower in E,F groups ( E group ( 0.91 ± 0.23 ) ng/ml,F group ( 0.85 ± 0.21 ) ng/ml) than that in B group (( 1.26 ±0.61 )ng/ml,P＜0.05).ConclusionChronic administration of fluoxetine could improve the impairment of spatial learning and memory and reverse the increase of S100B level in serum of depressed model rats.

Objective To observe the cervical regeneration outcome after different loop electrosurgical excision procedures(LEEP) for the management of cervical lesions.Methods A total of 209 patients with cervical lesions including cervical epithelial neoplasia,cervical HPV infection,cervical polyp and condyloma,and severe cervicitis were performed LEEP in our hospital.The types of LEEP included shallow ring excision,deep ring excision,LEEP conization,and that similar to cold-knife conization.The width and depth of removed cervical tissues were recorded,and the cervical regeneration was observed during the follow-up. Results Among the 209 cases,179(85.6%) were satisfactory cervical regeneration,24(11.5%) were little satisfactory cervical regeneration,and 6(2.9%) were unsatisfactory cervical regeneration.Shallow ring excision,deep ring excision and cone excision had higher satisfactory situation.Extroversion of cervical columnar epithelium was observed in 15 cases(7.2%) in little satisfactory cervical regeneration.Severe extroversion of cervical columnar epithelium of 3 cases occurred in unsatisfactory cervical regeneration.Besides,there were 2 case of cervical shortening and 1 case of severe erythema in unsatisfactory cervical regenerations. Conclusion Although having such complications as extroversion of cervical columnar epithelium,cervical shortening and erythema,LEEP performs a high satisfactory cervical regeneration after management of cervical lesions.It is in great need to analyze the condition of different patients in managing cervical lesions by LEEP.

Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of thinprep cytologic test(TCT) and electronic colposcope(EC) examination in patients with subclinical human papillomavirus(HPV) infection(SPI) and cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(CIN),and explore its concordance with pathologic diagnosis. Methods A total of 1 125 females were examined with TCT,744 of whom diagnosed with abnormality by TCT or suspect of cervical lesions were examined with EC,and multiple punch biopsies were performed in 706 of those with abnomal EC images and suspected diseases. ResultsThe sensitivity of TCT,EC examination and the combined examination of TCT and EC for SPI and CIN were 88.74%,88.79% and 90.63%,respectively,the specificity 85.44%,80.38% and 96.41%,respectively,the positive predictive value 74.06%,68.90% and 91.10%,respectively,and the negative predictive value 94.19%,93.61% and 96.21%,respectively.By the combination of the two examinations,the specificity and positive predictive value were significantly increased(P
