Objective To investigate the protective effect of fructose 1,6-diphosphate (FDP) on the brain against ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) injury and the possible mechanism. Methods One hundred and eighty SD rats weighing 275-325 g were randomly divided into 3 groups (n = 60 each): Ⅰ gham operation group; Ⅱ I/R group and Ⅲ FDP group. Global cerebral I/R was produced by 4-vessel technique. Bilateral vertebral arteries were coagulated and bilateral common carotid arteries were occluded for 5 min and then released for reperfusion. In sham operation the four vessels were exposed but not occluded. In FDP group FDP 1.5 mg?kg-1 was given Ⅳ when reperfusion was started, while in sham-operation group and I/R group normal saline (NS) 1.5 ml?kg-1 was given Ⅳ instead of FDP. The animals were killed at 2, 6, 12, 24, 48 and 72 h of reperfusion ( n = 5 each) for determination of cerebral SOD activity and MDA contents, the number of apoptotic neurons (TUNEL) and expression of P38 and Ref-1 in the brain (immuno-histochemical method) .Results The MDA content was significantly higher whereas the SOD activity and P38 and Ref-1 expression were significantly lower at all time points in I/R group than in sham operation group ( P

Chinese Journal of Practical Internal Medicine 2001;0(04):-
Objective To study the feasibility and effect of implantation of the biliary stent for treatment of biliary obstruction. Methods A retrospective analysis of the diagnostic and therapeutic procedure was done in 131 cases of the inpatients from Apr.2006 to Feb.2007.The 131 patients with biliary obstruction underwent successfully 138 cases/times implantation of biliary stent. The results of recession of jaudince and the rate of complication were evaluated. Results All patients were implanted biliary stent successfully. The serum total bilirubin, direct bilirubin, alkaline phosphatase,?-glutamyl transpeptidase decreased obviously in three days, and the difference was remarkable. The main complication was infection of biliary tract and pancreatitis. Conclusion Implantation of biliary stent is an effective management for biliary obstruction, especially for patients who have lost the chance of operation.

Objective To evaluate the application effect of modular management in technique and nursing of department of radiology. Methods 7 modules were divided: administrative management, quality management, equipment management, environment and emergency management, material cost management, education management and scientific research management. Each module was responsible for specially-assigned person reporting daily circumstance. Results After more than a year, 16 technical professionals, 8 educational professionals, 10 research professionals and 7 technicians were cultivated, 12 key performance indicators (KPI value) increased steadily were set up. Conclusions Modular management provided a novel concept for technique and medical care management of radiology department. Our practice suggests that modular management is alternative for development of technique and medical care in radiology department. Further research and application are needed.

Objective To analyze the identification and antibiotic resistance of non active Escherichia coli isolated from feces . Methods Clinical fecal specimens were collected from January 2013 to June 2015 for bacterial culture ,identification and antimicro-bial susceptibility testing .Results Sixty-one strains of E .coli ,inactive were detected ,18 strains of which could be agglutinated with diagnostic serum of Shigella .Three stains could produce extented spectrum β-lactamases(ESBLs);The rate of antibiotic resistance of amoxicillin and ticarcillin was 100% ,The rate of piperacillin ,cephalothin and sulfamethoxazole was 78% ,the rate of cefoxitin and amikacin was 33% ,the rate of piperacillin/tazobactam ,imipenem and meropenem was 0% .Conclusion Non active Escherichia coli can induce diarrhea ,which is easily misdiagnosed as Shigella ,the antimicrobial resistance between Escherichia coli and non active Escherichia coli is not significant difference .

Objective To investigate the effects of exercise on memory impairment in demented mice and possible molecular mechanisms. Methods Thirty Kunming nice were divided into a normal control group,a dementia group and a dementia plus exercise training group (exercise training group),10 mice/group. Dementia models were established by intraperitoneal injection of scopolamine.Exercise training was begun 30 min after the injection and lasted for a 6-week period. A water maze test was performed after the exercise training. Brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) expression and protein kinase (Akt) phosphorylation in the hippocampus were detected by Western blot analysis.Nitric oxide (NO) content and superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity in the hippocampus were also measured.ResultsDementia models were successfully induced as indicated by prolonged escape latency in the water maze test. After exercise training the escape latency had shortened significantly and hippocanpal BDNF expression and Akt phosphorylation had increased.NO content increased and SOD activity decreased after the injections, but these effects were partially reversed after exercise training. Conclusions Exercise can improve spatial memory significantly after scopolanine-induced dementia in mice. The increased hippocampal BDNF expression and Akt phosphorylation, increased SOD activity and decreased NO content may partially explain the behavior improvement induced by exercise.

Chinese Journal of Cancer Biotherapy 1995;0(03):-
Objective: The inhibition on the proliferation of colorectal carcinoma cell strain with different proliferative potential by ATRA was investigated in present study, which would benefit for the therapy of ATRA on colorectal carcinoma. Methods: The proliferation of LS174T and CW-2 colorectal carcinoma cell strain inhibited by ATRA was determined using cell observation, FACS and MTT methods. Results: The growth speed of LS174T cell strain was faster than that of CW-2. ATRA played a significant role on inhibiting the proliferation of LS174T and CW-2 cell strain and inducting the cell differetiation in vitro. Conclusions: ATRA could inhibit the growth of LS174T and CW-2 cell strain. ATRA could inhibit the proliferation of colorectal carcinoma cell and induce cell differentiation to some extent, which was correlated with the concentration of ATRA.

Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2001;21(2):141-143
Objective To assess the effectiveness of supracricoid partial laryngectomy in the treatment of laryngeal cancer. Methods This study infiuded 22 patients operated on from 1993 to 2000 using this surgical procedure. 22 were males with mean age of 63 years (ranging from 43 to 74 years). 21 were glottic cancers (3 T1aNoMo, 4 T1bNoMo, 11 T2NoMo, 3 T3NoMo) and 1 supraglottic cancer (T2N1Mo) according to the 1997 UICC system. Supracrieoid partial laryngectomy was performed, with the epiglottis preserved and reconstructed with cricohyoidoepiglottopexy (CHEP). Results The overall 3-year and S-year survival rates were 88.24% and 70%, respectively. All patients were decannulated. The average time for decannulation was 25 days (ranging from 14 to 60 days). Speech was good in all cases. Conclusion CHEP not only excises the neoplasms completely and safely but also preserves the laryngeal physiologic function well.
