Objective To investigate the value of cervical mediastinoscopy(CM) in the diagnosis of thoracic diseases. Methods From January 1990 to September 2008,281 patients with diseases in the chest were examined by cervical mediastinoscopy under local infiltration anesthesia or general anesthesia.Through the pretracheal space, exploration and biopsy of the neoplasms and lymph nodes around the trachea were carried out. Results Among the cases, pathological diagnosis were made in 268 patients(95.4%),including the 23 patients who were not clearly diagnosed before the operation. The accuracy of the preoperative diagnosis was 56.9%(41/72) for malignant tumors, and 87.4%(104/119) for benign lesions. Conclusions Cervical mediastinoscopy is an effective method to detect mediastinum diseases with or without other thoracic diseases, especially for simply enlarged lymph nodes in the mediastinum. For the patients with lung cancer complicated with enlarged lymph nodes in the mediastinum or those with tumors in the mediastinum, the method is also feasible.

Objective To investigate the distribution of avian influenza A viruses in external environment in Urumqi City in order to provide reference for the prevention and control of human infection with avian influenza virus in Urumqi City. Methods Environmental specimens were collected from 2013 to 2015 to detect avian influenza A virus nucleic acid with real-time fluorescent PCR.The positive specimens were further analyzed to identify the subtypes of avian influenza A viruses. Results A total of 1 043 environmental specimens were collected and tested.Among them,123 specimens were positive for avian influenza A virus nucleic acid with an overall positive rate of 11.79%.H9 was the predominant subtype, accounting for 7.77% of all specimens.Quarterly detection rates of avian influenza A virus in the three years peaked in different quarters of the year.Of all surveillance sites, live poultry markets in urban and rural areas had the highest positive rate (14.23%).Specimens collected from poultry drinking water (18.44%) and other specimens (19.44%) were highly positive for avian influenza A virus. Conclusion Avian influenza A viruses, especially the subtypes of H5,H7 and H9,exist in live poultry markets in Urumqi City.It is necessary to conduct surveillance and health education among people exposed to poultry in live poultry markets.

The paper is to report the establishment of a method for quickly evaluating compatibility of Chinese medicines injections. Isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC) was used to evaluate compatibility of Yiqifumai (YQFM) and vitamin C injection (Vc)/5% glucose injection (5% GS). The diversification of Gibbs free energy (deltaG), enthalpy (deltaH) and entropy (deltaS) were used to decide reaction types of colliquefaction procedures of different injections. The reactive profiles were used to determine signs and quantity of heat. And high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) was used as a supportive method for ITC. Then, feasible binding sites were analyzed based on the information of spatial structures of major compositions. During the colliquefaction procedure of YQFM and Vc, [deltaH] > T[deltaS], so, the reaction is enthalpy-driving. And the reactive profile showed that a big deal of heat was given out during the procedure. Obviously, chemical reactions happened and the major compositions changed. On the other side, the reaction of YQFM mixed with 5% GS was entropy-driving, because [deltaH] < T[deltaS]. The reactive profile showed there was a little heat gave out. So, non-chemical reactions happened, and the major compositions did not change. The conformity existed between the results of ITC and HPLC. ITC could be used to evaluate the compatibility of Chinese medicines injections because of the advantages of ITC, such as real time, fast, sensitive and having more parameters.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the effects of different concentrations of lipopolysaccharide (LPS), tumor necrosis factor α (TNFα), interleukin-6 (IL-6), dexamethasone (Dex), and insulin on the mRNA and protein expressions of GPR54 in the MCF7 cell line in vitro.
METHODSMCF7 breasr cancer cells were cultured and treated with different concentrations of LPS (10 and 20 µg/ml), TNFα (20 and 100 ng/ml), IL-6 (10 and 20 ng/ml), Dex (10(-6) and 10(-7) mol/L), and insulin (0.01 and 0.1 IU/L). Those treated with culture fluid only served as controls. The mRNA and protein expressions of GPR54 were measured by real-time PCR and Western blot, respectively, after 6, 24, 48, and 72 hours of treatment.
RESULTSCompared with the blank con- trol, LPS (10 and 20 µg/ml), TNFα (20 and 100 ng/ml), IL-6 (10 and 20 ng/ml), Dex (10(-6) and 10(-7) mol/L), and insulin (0.01 and 0.1 IU/L) significantly increased the expressions of GPR54 mRNA (P < 0.05) and protein (P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONLPS, TNFα, IL-6, Dex, and insulin evidently increase the expression of GPR54 in the MCF7 cell line, indicating their influence on the function of gonads by regulating the GPR54 level.

ObjectiveTo investigate the characteristics of knee stiffness and the results of rehabilitation after the fractures of distal femur (DF), tibial plateau (TP) or patella (PF). Methods70 cases with knee stiffness after DF, TP or PF were analyzed retrospectively. ResultsNo significant difference was observed in passive range of motion (PROM) among three groups (F=1.671,P=0.196) before rehabilitation. The differences were significantly different (F=19.264, P=0.000) 8 weeks after rehabilitation. Further LSD analysis revealed that there was significant difference between DF and TP (P=0.000) as well as DF and PF (P=0.000), but no significant difference was observed between TP and PF (P=0.114). ConclusionThe outcome of rehabilitation is associated with the locations of fracture, and the distal femoral fractures is the worst.

Objective:To observe influence of statins on antiplatelet activity of clopidogrel and provide basis for ra‐tionality of statins combined clopidogrel treatment .Methods :According to random number table ,a total of 90 pa‐tients diagnosed as acute coronary syndrome were equally divided into clopidogrel group ,clopidogrel + simvastatin group and clopidogrel + pravastatin group . Three groups received corresponding routine medication treatment . Plasma levels of platelet αgranule membrane protein (CD62P) ,lysosomal granule membrane glycoprotein (CD63) and maximum platelet aggregation rate (MPAR) were measured and compared among three groups before and 3d af‐ter treatment .Results:Compared with before treatment ,after treatment ,there were significant reductions in plas‐ma levels of CD62P and CD63 and MPAR in three groups , P<0.01 all .After treatment ,there were no significant difference in plasma levels of CD62P [ (14.63 ± 3.45) ng/ml vs .(14.14 ± 4.32) ng/ml vs .(14.59 ± 4.23) ng/ml] , CD63 [ (26.32 ± 10.43) ng/ml vs .(27.04 ± 10.75) ng/ml vs .(27.29 ± 9.27) ng/ml] and MPAR [ (28.62 ± 17.68)% vs .(28.38 ± 16.43)% vs .(29.13 ± 14.23)% ] among clopidogrel group ,clopidogrel + simvastatin group and clopidogrel + pravastatin group ,P>0.05 all .Conclusion:Short‐term and routine dose of statins combined clo‐pidogrel is feasible in treatment of acute coronary syndrome .The combined use of them will not affect antiplatelet function of clopidogrel .
