China Pharmacy 2017;28(7):872-877
OBJECTIVE:To find out the main problems about quality supervision over Chinese herbal pieces and effective su-pervision strategies. MEDTHODS:First, static and dynamic models of the game between the enterprises engaged in the production and business of Chinese herbal pieces and local food and drug administration were respectively established,to which pure strategy Nash equilibrium analysis and mixed strategy Nash equilibrium analysis were made. Next, the model of the game between the supe-rior regulatory authorities and the basic-level regulatory authorities was established,to which mixed strategy analysis was made to find out the supervision factors relevant to the quality safety of Chinese herbal pieces. RESULTS & CONCLUSIONS:Based on the current situation of quality supervision over Chinese herbal pieces and the analysis results of the game models,it is suggested that at present the Chinese herbal medicine regulatory authorities of China should work hard to promote the reform of the supervision system, reduce supervision cost(including the guidance of the large-scale and centralized production of Chinese medicinal materi-als and unified appliance of approval number to the administration of Chinese herbal pieces),establish a systematic and comprehen-sive system of rewards and punishments, create a professional supervisor staff(including the strengthening of basic-level supervisor staff creation and the improvement of personnel's quality, the standardization of the law enforcement of regulatory authorities and the combination of proper power delegation to lower levels and strict supervision),and balance the relationship between the govern-ment and the public in supervision to increase the public's awareness of responsibility.

Objective To observe the apoptosis or oncosis of pancreatic acinar cells of different severity of acute pancreatitis (AP) and the release level of enzymes in vitro, and to investigate the relationship between them. Methods Two-step enzymatic digestion method was used to separate pancreatic acinar cells into 4 groups. 0. 1 μg/ml of the caerulein was added in the AP group. Caerulein and LPS (bacterial lipopolysaccharide, 10 mg/L) were added in LPS group. Caerulein and OCT (octreotide, 100 ng/ml) were added in OCT group. Medium was added in the control group. AO (acridine orange) and EB (ethidium bromide) double staining method was used to detect the incidence of apoptosis or oncosis of acinar cell. The release of intracellular enzyme was detected by measuring the concentrations of amylase and LDH in cell culture media by colorimetry method. Results The apoptosis index was 2.2 + 0.4, 6.4 ± 0.6, 4.6 + 0.4, 11.2 +1.2 in the control group, AP group, LPS group, OCT group; while the oncosis index was 3.0 +0.4, 17.2 ±1.6, 23.0 ± 2.2, 12.8 ± 1.4 in the control group, AP group, LPS group, OCT group; the release of LDH was (2180 ±240), (8060 ±930), (9460 +920), (6860 ±740) U/dl, the level of amylase was (1750 ± 190),(3820 ±460), (4420 ±480), (2260 ±260)U/L. All the values in the experiment groups were significantly higher than that in control group ( P < 0.05 ). The oncosis index, LDH, amylase in LPS group was significantly higher than that in AP group ( P < 0.05 ), but the apoptosis index in LPS group was significantly lower than that in AP group ( P < 0.05 ). The apoptosis index in OCT group was significantly higher than that in AP group ( P < 0. 05 ), but the oncosis index, LDH, amylase was significantly lower than that in AP group ( P < 0. 05 ).Conclusions Induction of apoptosis and reduction of oncosis in AP pancreatic acinar cells can reduce the release of enzyme in acinar cells.

Journal of Xi'an Jiaotong University(Medical Sciences) 1981;0(02):-
Objective To study the expressions of EGFR and VEGF in endometrium after danazol pretreatment and the pathological changes of endometrium. Methods A total of 60 patients with anovulartory functional bleeding were randomly divided into two groups: Danazol group and control group with 30 cases in each group. Danazol group were given transcervical resection of endometrium with danazol pretreatment, and control group without any pretreatment. The endometrium resected from uterus was sent for histological assessment, observation of the grandular quantity and stromal loose degree, and of the expressions of EGFR and VEGF in endometrium. Results The endometrium of patients who took Danazol were almost in proliferative phase(similar to early proliferative phase). The numbers of endometrial glands near the basal layer with Danazol pretreatment were lower than that in the control group; the stromal components (+~) were more compact than the contral group (~). The expression intensity and rates of EGFR and VEGF in glands were higher than those of stromal components. Danazol decreased the expression of EGFR and VEGF in endometrium compared to the control group. Conclusion Pretreatment with Danazol can suppress the prolifieration of endometrial cells, thin the endometrium, and disperse the glands, compact the stromal components, and it can also reduce the expressions of EGFR and VEGF in endometrial glands and stromal components compared with the control group.

Objective To observe the characterization of fat emboli in cardiac chamber in pig model and the patients undergoing total hip arthroplasty(THA) by transesophageal echocardiography(TEE). Methods Different dose of fatty liquid was injected slowly via the internal jugular vein. The changes of the image were observed by continuous TEE. The lethal dose of fat embolism was recorded. Twenty-two patients underwent TEE during THA. Gray scale and echo intensity of fat embolism in right atrium were studied quantitatively in varied periods of the operation. Results With the increase of fat liquid injected in pig model, the strong- echo particles in right atrium and ventricle became more and more, the imaging of the particles was from “moving star”, “shower-like” to “snow fluffy”, at last paradoxical fat embolism occurred when the dose of fat liquid was over 4 ml. The accumulated lethal dose of fat embolism was 15.8 ~ 27.8 ml.②Fat emboli appeared as strong- echo particles in right atrium were found in different period of THA. Average gray scale and echo intensity of emboli in right atrium were significantly higher in period B than in other periods during THA. Conclusions Fat emboli in cardiac chamber can be found sensitively by TEE. Intra-operative monitoring and quantitative analysis is helpful to identifying fat embolism syndrome.Paradoxical embolism is a reliable evidence of fat embolism syndrome.

National Journal of Andrology 2016;22(3):264-267
In recent years, the incidences of male infertility and recurrent abortion are increasing. The causes of the conditions are varied and complex, but the affected stability of the genetic material in the sperm is an important etiological factor. Environmental pollutants may invade the body through respiration, diet and other channels, resulting in infertility and abortion or even affecting the reproductive system development of the offspring by changing the epigenetics of sperm DNA. In this paper, we propose the idea of using traditional Chinese medicine to prevent environmental pollutant-induced epigenetic changes of sperm DNA, hoping to provide a new insight into the protection against genetic material damage, male infertility, and recurrent abortion caused by environmental pollutants.
