1.Cultural Issues and Countermeasures on Development of Traditional Chinese Medicine

The controversy of abolishing or protecting of traditional Chinese medicine suggested that the traditional Chinese medical faculty must face up to their own shortcomings,change cultural dislocation and the discourse barrier,and adapt to the cognitive ability modern society at the cultural level.Through analysis of the connotation changes of traditional Chinese medicine culture in eras and the conflict between culture and modern society,the article has explained the underlying causes of the many misperceptions of traditional Chinese medicine.It proposed the measures and proposals for the development of traditional Chinese medicine culture,and was to enlighten and awaken the academic progress of traditional Chinese medicine culture.
2.Determination of Hypericin Content in Extract of Hypericum by Dual-Wavelength Spectrophotometry

Objective: Hypericin content was determined in the extract of hypericum by dual-wavelength spectrophotometry. Methods: The wavelengths were adopeted 589nm~647nm against a methanol blank. Results: The linear correlation was observed within the range of 1.30~29.75?g/ml(r=0.9998). The average recovery of hypericin was 102.32%(n=6), RSD was 1.08%. Conclusion: the result was exact, method was simple and convenient .
3.Advances in the application of intraoperative computed tomography to surgeries

With the proposal of the concept of precision surgery,doctors pay more attention to the precious balance of removing target lesions,protecting organs,and controlling damage.The application of intraoperative computed tomography (ICT) facilitates the realization of precision surgery.This paper summarizes the origination and development of ICT,as well as its wide applications in neurosurgery,otolaryngology,and maxillofacial surgery.Although ICT has many disadvantages to be improved,such as high radiation dose and high cost,it is still a good choice for improving the precision of treatment.
4.Advancement of chondrocyte proliferation and differentiation by paracrine and autocrine signaling pathway

In the process of chondrocytes development and maturation, the chondrocyte displayed great morphological and biochemical change under the control of kinds of growth factors and changeable environments, such as mechanical stress, or cell density changes. This change of characteristic chondrocytes is controlled by specified signaling pathways, and the autocrine and parocrine factors are playing an important role in the promotion of chondrogenesis. At present, the autocrine and parocrine familys are divided into following types, including the transforming growth factor ? family, fibroblast growth factor family, Hedgehog family, and Wingless family. However, the gene expression is not decided by the only one pathway, but the results of the cooperation of various signals. Therefore, the relationship between the pathways is going to be found and confirmed. To identify the effect of the each factor during the proliferation and differentiation of chondrocytes may direct the development of tissue-engineered cartilage.
5.Study on Design and Application of Expert System for Rational Clinical Medicine Administration over Coronary Heart Disease

Objective To make a safe and effective medicine therapeutic scheme correctly and quickly. Methods The data of previous cases and fuzzy knowledge gained through experience were stored in the database through digital techniques,in an effort to construct the knowledge database for rational clinical medicine administration. Then,the experience and optimized knowledge instructive to clinical drug use were selected through data mining techniques. Results The expert system based on clinical rational medicine administration over coronary heart disease was finally designed with instructive principles of rational clinical drug administration being proposed,which provided effective decision-making support for clinical diagnosis and treatment. Conclusion It is concluded that the system guarantees the knowledge preservation of clinical treatment,improves the correctness and rationality of clinical treatment,alleviates burdens on medical working staff and medical treatment cost,improves the medical efficiency and promotes the development of hospitals.
6.Advances in titanium bone implants made by rapid prototyping technology

BACKGROUND:In recent years,rapid prototyping has provided new options for the manufacture of customized titanium implants.OBJECTIVE:To review the optimization of titanium bone implants made by rapid prototyping,and assess its clinical value.METHODS:A computer-based retrieval of PubMed database and CNKI was performed for relevant articles by using the keywords of rapid prototype,3D printing,additive manufacture,titanium,custom-made,implant both in English and Chinese.These articles were analyzed from two aspects:the performance optimization and the clinical application of titanium bone implants produced by rapid prototyping.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Rapid prototyping technology enables the production of customized bone implants,and biological properties of the implants can be varied through the introduction of porosity and Morphological changes of the implant.In combination with surface treatment technology,such as coating technique,the biological performance of the implants can be further optimized.Therefore,the rapid prototyping technology can be used to create customized titanium bone implants with excellent mechanical and biological properties.The titanium bone implants made by rapid prototyping have great prospect in the clinical practice.
7.Development of Domestic HIS and Future Tendencies

8.Application of Data Warehousing and Data Mining in HIS

Objective To discover the basic principle of hospital operation and predict the hospital developing trends through analysis of massive data involved in the hospital information system(HIS),with a view of providing better services to patients.Methods The Oracle Warehouse Builder was used as technical platform of date warehouse building in the process of modeling the HIS by using relational database and modeling the data warehouse by using the star model of the multi-dimensional database models.Data Miner,a data mining tool,is also applied to analyze information in the hospital related to inpatient structure and mobility,expenses structure,medical workload and economic benefits.Results Support was provided to management and decision making in hospital.Conclusion Wide applications of data warehousing and data mining are observed in HIS,resulting in remarkable economic and management benefits.
10.The protective effects of estradiol on ischemic rat myocardium during the early stage of reperfusion

Ovbective To study the protective effects of 17?-estradiol on isolated ischemic rat hearts in a modified Langendorff model. Methods Thirty rats performed bilateral ovariectomies were divided equally into three groups at random. A three-phase protocol was performed: (1) 15-minutes preperfusion,(2) 30-minutes global ischemia,(3) 30-minutes reperfusion. Treatment with 0.1% DMSO (group D) and 5 ?mol/L 17?-estradiol+0.1% DMSO (group E) dissolved in K-H buffer was perfused from sixth minutes of reperfusion. Only K-H was perfused in the ischemia-reperfusion group (group I-R). The left ventricular pressure (LVP) and it's first derivative (?dp/dt max ) and coronary flow (CF) were recorded at the 15th minute of preperfusion and the 30th minute of reperfusion. Creatin phosphokinase (CPK) and lactic dehydrogenase (LDH) the coronary effluent,the content of malonaldehyde (MDA) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity of myocardium were measured at the 30th minute of reperfusion. Results After 30-minute reperfusion,restoration of heart function of group E treated with 17?-estradiol were better than that of group I-R and group D,with a higher coronary flow,and a lower CPK and LDH level (P
