Taking global minimum essential requirements(GMER)as standard,school of basic medical science in Wuhan University paid more attention to the cultivation of students' professional skills, innovation ability and communication ability. ‘Response to injury’integrated course was carried out. Based on the immunology,this course involves pathology and pathophysiology and explores the mecha-nism of the diseases' diagnosis and treatment. It took small classes,bilingual education,literature read-ing ,experiments and discussions in various forms . This reform aimed to improve the immunology , pathology and pathophysiology teaching and make our medical education meet the process of globalization.

Objective To investigate the dynamic change of pro‐and anti‐inflammatory eytokines of sepsis patients and its signif‐icance in clinical condition .Methods Forty‐three sepsis patients from 2010 to 2011 were divided into the survival group and the death group .Morning serum samples were collected on the first ,third ,firth and seventh day morning ;ELISA method was used to quantify the serum level of TNF‐α,IL‐1 ,IL‐4 and IL‐10 .The severity of patient′s condition was assessed according to the APACHEⅡsystem .Results In the early stage ,TNF‐α and IL‐1 in of both group increased and reached the peak on the third day ;then there was a gradual decline .Test in the same time point showed that the indexes of death group were all higher than that of survival group (P<0 .05) .IL‐4 of the two groups reached its peak on the fifth day and then declined ,and in the same time point ,indexes of death group were much more higher than that of survival group (P<0 .05) .IL‐10 of the survival group reached its peak on the fifth day and then declined;in the death group ,IL‐10 level kept increasing and maintained high ,there was no significant difference among the serum levels of the third ,fifth and seventh day(P>0 .05) .The APACHE Ⅱ of the survival group declined significantly while in death group it kept increasing and stay high .Conclusion Pro‐inflammatory eytokines(TNF‐α,IL‐1) ascended earlier than anti‐in‐flammatory eytokines(IL‐4 ,IL‐10) ,and the serum level of IL‐10 keep high level prompt the poor prognosis .

In atherosclerosis, chronic inflammatory processes in local diseased areas may lead to the accumulation of reactive oxygen species (ROS). In this study, we devised a highly sensitive H₂O₂-scavenging nano-bionic system loaded with probucol (RPP-PU), to treat atherosclerosis more effectively. The RPP material had high sensitivity to H₂O₂, and the response sensitivity could be reduced from 40 to 10 μmol/L which was close to the lowest concentration of H₂O₂ levels of the pathological environment. RPP-PU delayed the release and prolonged the duration of PU in vivo. In Apolipoprotein E deficient (ApoE^‒/‒) mice, RPP-PU effectively eliminated pathological ROS, reduced the level of lipids and related metabolic enzymes, and significantly decreased the area of vascular plaques and fibers. Our study demonstrated that the H₂O₂-scavenging nano-bionic system could scavenge the abundant ROS in the atherosclerosis lesion, thereby reducing the oxidative stress for treating atherosclerosis and thus achieve the therapeutic goals with atherosclerosis more desirably.

The classification of traditional Chinese medicine （TCM） syndromes is one of the core technical elements in the industry standard of Specification of Diagnosis and Therapeutic Effect Evaluation of Diseases and Syndromes in TCM. In the past，when clinical standards for TCM were formulated，the determination of TCM syndrome classification relied heavily on textbooks and expert experience，lacking systematic research. This approach thus failed to reflect the advancement and scientificity of the standards，thereby affecting their implementation and application. This article reviewed the presentation forms and technical methods of TCM syndrome classification，including the two-tier syndrome classification model with primary and secondary symptoms，as well as the application of modern literature research，ancient literature research，Delphi method，in-depth expert interviews，consensus conferences，and real-world research. When syndrome classification standards are developed，it is necessary to build upon modern literature research，adopt a mixed approach combining qualitative research and quantitative analysis results，and reach expert consensus through consensus conferences. Through systematic research，the scientificity，applicability，and coordination of TCM syndrome classification standards can be enhanced，providing guidance for the standardization of TCM.
