In recent years, the incidence of pancreatic cancer shows rising trend and higher mortality. Pancreatic cancer lacks early diagnostic methods with high sensitivity and specificity, and the surgical resection rate is 10 %-20 % with high operation mortality, poor long-term curative effect and less than 5 %survival rate within 5 years. At present, researchers indicate that radiotherapy can improve the quality of life, increase tumor local control rate and prolong the overall survival time of patients with pancreatic cancer in different levels. Diffusion weighted imaging (DWI), as a functional imaging technology of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), is the only way to react cell levels. This paper will summarize the application of DWI in radiotherapy of pancreatic cancer.

Chinese Journal of Behavioral Medicine and Brain Science 2021;30(1):90-94
Bipolar disorder is a common, highly disabling psychiatric disorder characterized by early onset, frequent episodes, high suicide risk, and chronic outcomes, and is associated with severe social dysfunction. The pathogenesis of bipolar disorder is still unclear, and current studies mainly focus on circadian rhythm abnormalities, including rhythm gene mutation, polymorphism, abnormal kinase expression, and rhythm abnormalities in neurotransmitter secretion and transport. It has been found that at any stage of bipolar disorder, whether prodrome, episode, or remission, patients exhibit circadian rhythm disruptions, including disrupted sleep-wake cycles, hormonal phase abnormalities, and irregular social rhythms. Based on this mechanism, the time therapy, such as light therapy, dark therapy, sleep deprivation and behavioral intervention, can rapidly improve the circadian rhythm of patients with bipolar disorder, achieve the goal of rapid relief of symptoms, with fewer side effects, low risk of switching to manic. In this paper, circadian rhythm mechanism, clinical manifestations and chronotherapy of bipolar disorder are reviewed to provide a basis for clinical diagnosis and treatment.

Objective To observe the relationship between expression changes of γH2AX and the radiosensitivity of lung cancer cells in vitro. Methods The radiosensitivity of lung cancer cell lines A549 and SBC-3 was measured by clone forming assay. The DSBs damage of lung cancer cell lines A549 and SBC-3 was determined by Western blot assay. Re-sults The clone forming rates of lung cancer cell lines A549 and SBC-3 were gradually decreased with the increased radia-tion dose.γH2AX expression was related to the cell radiosensitivity 1 hour and 6 hours after radiated. Conclusion The phosphorylated histoneγH2AX is a powerful tool to monitor DNA DSBs and to predict the radiosensitivity in lung cancer ra-diotherapy.

Objective To evaluate the safety and feasibility of injection test which is used to locate esophageal balloon catheter. Methods A prospective study was conducted. The patients undergoing invasive mechanical ventilation (MV) admitted to general intensive care unit (ICU) of Beijing Tiantan Hospital Affiliated to Capital Medical University from May 2015 and March 2017 were enrolled. The commercially available esophageal balloon catheter was modified to perform injection test. The catheter was withdrawn step by step and the injection test was repeated until the presence disturbance wave presented, which indicated that the balloon had just entered the esophagus. The position where disturbance wave appears was named 0 cm. End-expiratory occlusions were performed at the positions of+15,+10,+5, 0, -5, -10 and -15 cm, respectively, and the changes of esophageal pressure (Pes) and airway pressures (Paw) were measured in the spontaneous breathing and passive ventilation, and the ratio between the changes (ΔPes/ΔPaw) was calculated. Results A total of 20 patients were enrolled, of which 15 patients finished both the spontaneous and the passive ventilation parts, and 2 patients finished only the spontaneous part and 3 patients finished only passive part. ① Disturbance waves could be induced by injection test in all patients. The average depth of disturbance wave in spontaneous breathing was deeper than that in passive ventilation (cm: 42.4±3.8 vs. 41.8±3.3), but there was no significant difference between the two ventilation settings (P = 0.132). No adverse events occurred during the study period. ② Pes increased with the stepwise withdraw of esophageal catheter, reached the maximal value at+5 cm, and then decreased when the catheter was further withdrawn, no matter in the spontaneous or the passive ventilation. In spontaneous breathing, the ΔPes/ΔPaw was within the ideal range (0.8-1.2) at the positions of 0, -5 and -10 cm. The ΔPes/ΔPaw was closest to unity at the positions of 0 cm (0.98±0.15). The ΔPes/ΔPaw at -15 cm (0.66±0.26) was significantly lower than that at 0 cm (P < 0.05). For passive ventilation, the ΔPes/ΔPaw was within the ideal range at the positions of -5 cm and -10 cm, and the ΔPes/ΔPaw was closest to unity at the positions of-10 cm (0.94±0.12). The ΔPes/ΔPaw at 0 cm and -5 cm was significantly higher than that at -10 cm (1.43±0.31 and 1.12±0.14, respectively); while the ΔPes/ΔPaw at -15 cm (0.68±0.23) was significantly lower than that at -10 cm (allP < 0.01).Conclusions Ideal position of the esophageal balloon catheter could be determined quickly and easily by using injection test. The method is safe and clinically feasible.Clinical Trial Registration Clinical Trials, NCT02446938.

Objectives To investigate the mutational characteristics of MSX1 and PAX9 genes in a family affected by non-syndromic oligodonti so as to study the pathogenesis of oligodontia from a molecular prospective. Methods A family with oligodontia, but of different descent and unrelated healthy controls were enrolled in our study. Genomic DNA was isolated from the blood samples. Mutation analyses were performed by amplifying MSX1 and PAX9 exons and sequencing the products. Results DNA sequencing revealed a novel missense mutation c.348C>T in a highly conserved homeobox sequence of MSX1 and a known polymorphisms c. 469+35- c.469+45del in exon 1 and in intron in the two patients and in two unrelated healthy controls. But we did not detect any mutation in PAX9. Conclusion Our finding suggests the samesense mutation (c.348C>T) and the polymorphisms (c.469+35- c.469+45del) may be responsible for oligodontia phenotype in this Chinese family.
