Journal of Jilin University(Medicine Edition) 2014;(4):861-865
Objective To compare the X-ray cephalometric results of teeth and skeleton relationship between individual lingual orthodontic and labial straight wire orthodontics, and to provide reliable theoretical foundation for selecting orthodontic system in clinic. Methods The general conditions of the patients, classification of malocclusion, severity of denture crowding and orthodontic design were used as the selection criteria. Thirty familiar adult patients with malocclusion in clinic were divided into two groups randomly:individual lingual orthodontics group (A group)and labial straight wire orthodontics group (B group),15 cases in each group.X-ray cephalometrics were taken using Steiner and Tweed cephalometrics analysis, the results of analysis were compared between pre-treatment and post-treatment in two groups respectively, and the course of treatment in two groups was compared, too. The difference of treatment effect and course of treatment between two different orthodontic systems was evaluated. Results The relationship of first molar and canine of the patients in two groups was neutral relationship, overbite and overjet of anterior teeth was shallow, the teeth arrangement was orderly and no space was left after treatment. There was no statistically significant difference (P>0.05)between two groups in each measured values detected by Steiner Analysis after orthodontic treatment;there was no statistically significant difference (P>0.05)between two groups in each measured value detected by Tweed Analysis after orthodontic treatment;and there was no statistical significance (P>0.05 )in the D-values of Steiner Analysis and Tweed Analysis between two groups before and after treatment. The duration of treatment of the patients in two groups had no significant difference (P>0.05).Conclusion Both individual lingual orthodontics and labial straight wire orthodontics could obtain well teeth arrangement and occluding relationship and achieve satisfying clinical orthodontic outcome.

Directed evolution was conducted to improve the thermostability of lipase from Rhizopus chinensis CCTCC M201021. Mutations were introduced by two rounds of error-prone PCR and mutant lipase was selected by fast-blue RR top agar screening. Two positive variants were selected in the first-round and four in the second-round screening process. Ep2-4 was proved as the most thermostable lipase and its DNA sequencing revealed three amino acid substitutions: A129S, P168L and V329A. Compared with the parent, its half-life at 60 degrees C was 5.4- times longer and T50 was 7.8 degrees higher. Purified lipase of Ep2-4 was characterized and the result shows that its thermostability improved without compromising enzyme activity. According to the mimicked protein structure, mutation A129S formed a hydrogen bond with Gln133 and improved the thermostability by increasing the hydrophilicity and polarity of protein; mutation P168L by forming a hydrophobic bond with the nearby Leu164.

Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica 2013;48(12):1743-54
Many studies have shown that chronic inflammation occurs in the brain of patients with Alzheimer's disease (AD). It is well known that long-term administration of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) can alleviate the cognitive decline of AD patient and elderly. Several inflammatory cytokines produced in the metabolism of arachidonic acid (AA) are closely related to inflammatory diseases. Lipoxygenases (LOXs) and cyclooxygenases (COXs) play a crucial role in the AA network, the products eicosanoids have an important impact on the progression of AD. Although there are many arguments and conflicting evidence, currently LOXs and COXs are still the hot topics in the research on AD pathogenesis and drug development. Here, we review the progress in research on COXs and LOXs, including their actions on CNS and their association with AD, and explore the feasibility of LOXs and COXs as targets for the drugs to prevent and/or treat AD.

Objective:To investigate the clinical application of indirect-bonding in orthodontics. Methods:An ordinary Chinese paste was used to bond bracket on hard plaster stone, then tranfer it to elastic plastic film. Clinic bonding could use chemical curing or light curing adhesive. Results:Twenty patients were treated with indirect bonding method. Most patients reported that the bonding is much more comfortable and less time-consuming than anticipated. Conclusion:Indirect-bonding method could be a good supplement for direct bonding method.
6.Role of placental growth factor in neovascularage-related macular degeneration
International Eye Science 2015;(5):796-798
? Choroidal neovascularization is the primary pathogenesis of neovascularage - related macular degeneration ( nAMD ) , and the role of vascular endothelial growth factor ( VEGF ) in neovascularization has been widely recognized. Currently, drugs target different targets of VEGF have been widely used in the treatment of nAMD. As a subtype of VEGF, placental growth factor ( PlGF) has synergistic effects with VEGF-A on promoting angiogenesis, stimulating the migration of endothelial cell proliferation and mediating immune inflammatory response. There is no expression of PlGF in mature blood vessels so PlGF hashigh specificity. ln this paper, the role of PlGF in the pathogenesis and treatment of nAMD is reviewed.

Objective To investigate the value of combined use of misoprostol and intravenous mixture of pethidine and droperidol during operative hysteroscopy. Methods A total of 168 cases scheduled for hysteroscopy were divided into 4 groups: Group Ⅰ (42 cases) was transvaginally given 0.4 mg misoprostol as monotherapy; Group Ⅱ (41 cases) was given 0.4 mg transvaginal misoprostol in combination with intravenous mixture of 50 mg pethidine and 2.5 mg droperidol; Group Ⅲ (43 cases) was given 0.4 mg transvaginal misoprostol combined with intravenous mixture of 100 mg pethidine and 5 mg droperidol; and Group Ⅳ (42 cases), intravenous mixture of 100 mg pethidine and 5 mg droperidol. The heart rate, breath rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, cervical responses, VAS scores and complications were assessed respectively. Results There were statistically significant differences regarding the degree of cervical dilatation, the operation time, and the used volume of cavity-distention media between the Group Ⅳ and the Group Ⅰ, Group Ⅱ, and Group Ⅲ, respectively (P0.05). Significant differences were observed in the analgetic effect in the 4 groups (?~2=86.325,P=0.000), among which the Group Ⅱ and Group Ⅲ were superior to the other two. All patients in the 4 groups represented a stable respiratory process and blood circulation, with no significant differences in the rate of adverse effects (?~2=1.649, P=0.648). Conclusions Transvaginal application of misoprostol offers a convincing effect for cervical dilatation. Combined use of misoprostol and mixture of 50 mg pethidine and 2.5 mg droperidol gives a satisfactory analgetic effect during operative hysteroscopy.

Objective To investigate the value in MR spectrum of diagnosis and grading of gliomas. Methods 36 cases of patient with gliomas who confirmed by histopathologic findings or clinical follow-up were collected. Using a GE Signa EXCITE HD 3.0T super conduct MR unit, all the cases of patients were performed conventional MR scan and multi-voxel with 2-D multi-voxel PRESS 144 ms. Functool software was used for post-processing of spectrum. The ratios of NAA/Cr, NAA/Cho, Cho/Cr were measured in the solid part of masses, circum of tumors and contralateral parenchyma respectively. The result was processed by the statistical method. Results The statistical analysis was exacted by SAS 8.2 software. In the solid part of masses, there were significant differences between low-grade gliomas and high-grade gliomas in the ratios of Cho/Cr, Cho/NAA、NAA/Cr and MI (P <0.05), but in peritumoral edema, there were significant differences in the ratios of Cho/Cr, NAA/Cr (P <0.05), and no significant differences in the ratios of MI (P <0.05).Conclusion 1H-MRS is very important and useful in the evaluation of gliomas. It has made it possible to exactly evaluate the grade of gliomas combined with other imagings.
