1.Anticonvulsant effect of ceftriaxone sodium in temporal lobe epilepsy
Basic & Clinical Medicine 2017;37(5):658-662
Objective To study the effects of ceftriaxone sodium(Cef) on the seizures and the expression of glutamate transporter (GLT-1) in kainic acid (KA) epilepsy model. Methods Firstly, a chronic spontaneous seizure mouse model was established by unilateral hippocampal injection of KA and monitored by vEEG technique to record seizures. The experimental group received intraperitoneal injection of Cef 200 mg/(kg·d) and the control group received normal saline.Seizure frequency, interictal spike waves and histological phenotypes were recorded to evaluate the function of Cef.Then we use the Western blot to detect the effect of expression for GLT-1.Results Unilateral hippocampal injection of KA 200 ng successfully established the mesial temporal lobe epilepsy model.Cef can reduce the seizures from 2.145 times/day to 1.597 times/day, decreased by 31.2% with a statistical significance(P<0.05).Cef treatment did not significantly enhance the expression of GLT-1.Conclusions Intraperitoneal injection of Cef partially inhibites the seizures of KA model, but the expression of GLT-1 in hippocampus is not enhanced. It is suggested that ceftriaxone may inhibit seizures through other mechanisms.
2.Clinical observation of about heavy abdomen type of anaphylactoid purpura treated hy methylprednisolone associate with heparin
Chinese Pediatric Emergency Medicine 2008;15(z1):32-34
Objective To observe the curative effect about heavy abdomen type of anaphylactoid pur-pura treated by Methylprednisolone associate with Heparin. Methods Randomly divided eighty three children with heavy abdomen type of anaphylactoid purpura who treated in department of pediatrics of the first hospital affiliated to Kunming medical college from January, 2006 to december, 2007 into group A (treated by Hydro-cortisone) and group B (treated by Methylprednisolone) and group C(treated by Methylprednisolone associate with Heparin). Group A treated by mainline Hydrocortisone dose of 5~8 mg/kg body weight once a day, mixed into 100ml 5% glucose injection, after 7~14 days later, instead of take orally Predisone tablet and de-grees dose by gradually. Group B treated by mainline Methylprednisolone dose of 2~4 mg/kg body weight once a day, mixed into 100ml 5% glucose injection, after 7~14 days later, instead of take orally Predisone tablet, and group C treated by Methylprednisolone by oneself (dose like group B) associate with mainline Hep-arin (dose of 0.25~0.75 mg/kg body weight once a day, mixed into 100ml 5% glucose injection) 7~10 days. Observe clinic symptomatic like as tetter, bellyache, entron hemorrhage when treatment of every group. Contrast reiteration rate of anaphylaetoid purpura, and the period of urine test get hack normal which cases with kidney tamper. Contrast these medication' s side effect such as resort of natrium and water, elec-trolyte turbulence, hemorrhage and so on. Results Group C (treated by Methylprednisolone associate with Heparin) is better then group A (treated by Hydrocortisone) and group B (treated by Methylprednisolone by oneself) in eliminate tetrer and release bellyache. The less period of group C need to treatment entron hemor-rhage and urine test get hack normal. And thereiteration rate is less of group C than group A and group B.Conclusion Methylprednisolone in association with Heparin to treat heavy abdomen type of anaphylactoid purpura is better than hydrocortisone and Methylprednisolone by oneself in controling symptom, reduing reiter-ation rate and more less side effect. So methylprednisolone in association with Heparin to treat of heavy ab-domen type of anaphylactoid purpura is a ideal project.

Objective To describe the CT characterization of retroperitoneal neuroganglionic tumor in order to get a better understanding of the disease. Methods Neuroganglionic tumors proved by operation and pathology (24 cases), as well as bone biopsy (2 cases), were studied in 18 males and 8 females. The mean age of neuroblastoma(14 cases), ganglioneuroblastoma(10 cases), and ganglioneuroma (2 cases) was 1 year 3 months, 3 years 6 months, and 6 years, respectively. Two cases of ganglioneuroma were complicated with leukemia and malignant pheochromocytoma. All cases were examined by CT scanning and 14 of them had contrast enhancement scanning preoperatively. 20 cases were also examined by ultrasound. Results The tumor sizes were 2.0 cm?2.5 cm?2.5 cm~16 cm?10 cm?8 cm. The tumors were all located in the retroperitoneal space, 22 cases were unilateral, 3 were situated in mid line prelumboscrally, and 1 was bilaterally located. The tumor were irregular in 20 cases and round shape in 6 cases; the tumor margin showed distinct in 14 cases and indistinct in 12 cases. Twenty five tumors showed mixture density and isointensity comparing with the kidney, 1 case with homogeneouse low density; 12 of 14 cases were enhanced inhomogeneously and 2 did not enhance; 23 of 26 cases showed different shapes of calcification. Retroperitoneal lymph nodes were swelling in 19 cases. Liver metastases were found in 3 cases, vascular encasement in 18 cases, tumor thrombus in inferior vena cava in 1 case, and tumor extending into spinal canal in 3 cases. Conclusion CT scanning can prompt the diagnosis of retroperitoneal neuroganglionic tumor and bolus injection of contrast medium can further increase the understanding of the abnormality within and around the tumor.
