1.The study of correlation between allergen and chronic rhinosinusitis
Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2009;(14):633-635,638
Objective:To explore the effects of allergic factors in chronic sinusitis . Method:Skin prick test and specific serum IgE of 194 patients with chronic sinusitis were performed in our department before endoscopic sinus surgery from October,2007 to October,2008, and correla- tion between test results and clinical classification was analyzed retrospectively. Result: ① Result of skin prick test was analyzed. Positive rate of house dust was 20.6% (40/194),of dust mites 16.0%(30/194),of house dust mites 14.9%(29/194). ② Positive rate of allergic specific serum IgE and skin prick test in experimental group was compared with that of control group. Positive rate of house dust mites, dust mites and house dust between groups were significantly different(P<0.05).③ Clinical classification of chronic sinusitis had a negative correlation with the specific serum IgE (house dust mites ,house dust and dust mites)about experimental group(P<0.05). Conclusion: Allergic factors was associated with etiopathoge-nisis and course of disease of chronic sinusitis.
2.Apolipoprotein E gene polymorphism and ischemic stroke
International Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases 2013;21(9):693-696
Apolipoprotein E (ApoE) has gene polymorphism (ε2,ε3,and ε4).It has been confirmed that ApoE structural and functional abnormlities are closely associated with the hyperlipidemia, formation of atherosclerosis, and its severity, while both hyperlipidemia and atherosclerosis are the risk factors for ischemic stroke. In recent years, although the relationship between the ApoE gene polymorphism and ischemic stroke has been extensively studied, the conclusions are not consistent. This article reviews the correlation studies between the ApoE gene polymorphism and ischernic stroke.
3.Research progress of tumor-associated neutrophils
Practical Oncology Journal 2017;31(4):367-370
Tumor growth depends on the tumor microenvironment(TME).Tumor-associated neutrophils(TANs)are important inflammatory cells in TME.TANs are divided intoN1type with anti-tumor effect andN2type of tumor-promoting effect. Therefore,TANs have both beneficial and harmful aspects of the body.A large number of studies have been shown that TANs affect tumor formation, metastasis, angiogenesis and immune response, regulated by the secretion of cytokines and chemokines. This review will summarize the biological characteristics of TANs,and tumor development, prognosis and treatment of tumor as well as research progress of the relationship between TANs and tumor.

Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2005;9(16):214-215
BACKGROUND: It is reported that the first line medical staff have experienced posttraumatic stress disorder(PTSD) symptoms after severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) events. However, there are few reports regarding the PTSD symptoms among SARS patients and the public in epidemic area. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the occurrence and main influence factors of PTSD among SARS patients and the public in epidemic area.DESIGN: Sampling investigation.SETTING: First Hospital of Shanxi Medical University. PARTICIPANTS: Totally 114 SARS patients and 93 people were selected from the epidemic area of Taiyuan city from August to September in 2003.METHODS: Self-made stressor-cognition questionnaire, edited impact of event scale-revised (IES-R), perceived social support scale (PSSS), simple cope scale questionnaire(SCSQ), self-esteem scale(SES) and eysenck personality questionaire(EPQ) were conducted to 114 SARS patients and 93 common people in epidemic area. Correlative analysis was performed as well.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: ① Detection rate of PTSD among SARS patients and the public in epidemic area. ② The score of intrusion factor, avoidance factor and hyperarousal factor of two populations. ③ The correlative analysis between IES-R score and influence factor among SARS patients and the public in epidemic area.RESULTS: The detection rate of suspect of PTSD among SARS patients was higher than that in public of epidemic area(55.1% , 31%, P = 0.000)The score of intrusion, avoidance and hyperarousal factor of SARS patients ( 11.37±9.54, 10.28±7.67, 6.55±6.20) was much higher than those of the public in epidemic area(5.64±4.68,5.58±4.74, 4.43 ±4.63,P = 0. 000) . The correlative analysis showed that the difference on PTSD incidence between SARS patients and the public of epidemic area might be due to the different stressor intensity and features. The negative response mode was the risk factor of both SARS patients and the public of epidemic area while self-esteem was the protective factor of SARS patients. CONCLUSION: ① PTSD symptoms had appeared among all the correlative populations although the exposure intensity of SARS event stress was different. The detection rate of PTSD and symptoms of intrusion, avoidance and hyperarousal were much common among SARS patients; ② The difference between groupswas due to the different stressor intensity as well as the different influence factors of different population.

International Journal of Surgery 2009;36(7):466-468
Objective To evaluate the clinical outcome of lumbar spinal canal stenosis treated by microen-descopic discectomy. Methods The rear guard intervertebral discoscope was used to carry on unilateral or-bilateral "windowing" to relieve the dura mater spinalis and the nerve root oppression thoroughly. The "C" ann machine or laferal side photography position X was used for localization. Approximately 1.5 cm incision was made under local anesthesia or under the shallow epidural anaesthesia at posterior waist, the pathway tube was implanted after progressive expansion, part of lamina of vertebra was removed by drill, endoscope was inserted under the television surveillance to reveal removed lamina of verfebra, the proliferated cohesed articular process, the plump yellow ligament flava and the bulging intervertebral disc nucleus pulposus tis-sues, the nerve root canal was depressed, to relieve thoroughly its oppression, dura mater and nerve root. Results The follow-up continued from 5 months to 36 months. The evaluation with Nakai scale revealed ex-cellent in 168 cases, good in 9 cases, fair in 6 cases. The rate of good results was 96.7%. Conclusions Totally 183 cases were treated with this procedure posterior microendoscropie discectomy shows minimal inva-sion, less blood loss and quick recovery. The stability of lumbar spine can be reserved. It is safe and effec-tive for treating lumbar disc herniation complicated with spinal stenesis.
6.Integrative pharmacology: new paradigm of modernization of Chinese medicine.
China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2014;39(3):357-362
Chinese medicinal formulae( CMF) were often used in the clinics of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) which were critical for modernization of Chinese medicine to shed light on the interaction between CMF and biological organisms. In current studies, correlation between system and part, macroscopic actions and microcosmic mechanism, ADME process and pharmacologic actions were often neglected. Thus, we put forward integrative pharmacology, which could integrate the correlation between CMF and biological organisms from multi-levels and multi-dimensional views. Integrative pharmacology would reveal the molecular mechanism of CMF for ailments treatment and screen out effective material systematically, which would be the new paradigm of TCM research.

Chinese Journal of Emergency Medicine 2016;25(12):1284-1289
Objective To observe the effect of vitamin D on angiotensin converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) and vitamin D receptor (VDR) expression in Wister rat models of acute lung injury (ALI) induced by using lipopolysaccharide (LPS).Methods The rat models of ALI induced by LPS were established by intravenous injection of LPS via tail vein.Thirty Wistar rats were randomly (random number) divided into 6 groups:normal control group,LPS group, calcitriol (25 μg/kg) group,LPS + calcitriol 1 μg/kg group,LPS + calcitriol 5 μg/kg group and LPS + calcitriol 25 μg/kg group. The changes of general condition, lung pathology, lung wet/dry weight ratio and changes of VDR mRNA and ACE2 mRNA expressions and protein levels of VDR and ACE2 in rats were observed. Results The clinical manifestations (rapid shallow breathing;listlessness;the oral and nose hemorrhage) in LPS group were obvious, and the clinical manifestations and pathological changes of lung tissues in the LPS + calcitriol groups were significantly milder than those in LPS group. The expressions of VDR mRNA and ACE2 mRNA in LPS group was significantly lower than those in normal control group and calcitriol group (P < 0.05).The expressions of VDR mRNA and ACE2 mRNA in LPS + calcitriol groups were significantly higher than those in LPS group (P < 0.05),and lower than those in normal control group significantly (P < 0.05).Meanwhile,among LPS + calcitriol groups, there was no significant difference in expression of VDR mRNA (P > 0.05) and there was significant difference in ACE2 mRNA expression (P < 0.05).Conclusions Calcitriol can increase the expressions of VDR mRNA and ACE2 mRNA and protein levels of VDR and ACE2 in rat models of LPS-induced ALI,thus suggesting the increased expressions of ACE2 mRNA and VDR mRNA playing a role in protection against the development of ALI.
