1.Effect of slow-acting antirheumatic drugs on lipid profile in patients with rheumatoid arthritis
Chinese Journal of Geriatrics 2009;28(11):890-892
Objective To investigate the effect of slow-acting antirheumatic drugs on lipid profile and disease activity index in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Methods Eighty-two patients with RA who met the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) criteria were treated with disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs including methopterin (MTX), salazosulfapyridine (SASP) and hydroxychloroquine sulfate, while seventy-nine healthy volunteers were used for control. All persons were followed up for 12 months. The observations included 28 joint indices score (DAS-28), lipid profile, c-reactive protein (CRP) and erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR). Results Compared with the control group before treatment, RA patients exhibited higher serum levels of total cholesterol (TC), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and triglycerides. Whereas, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) was significantly lower. After 12 months treatment, the disease activity index[(6.7±0.6)vs. (2.1±0.9)], ESR [(62±18)mm/h vs. (13±9)mm/h] and CRP [(2.2±0.3 ) mg/L vs. (0. 3±0.2 ) mg/L, all P<0.01] were significantly decreased and HDL-C [1.0±0. 1)mmol/L vs. (1.5±0. 3)mmol/L, P<0. 01] was increased in RA patients. Conclusions RA patients are characterized by an atherogenic lipid profile, which are improved after therapy. Immuno-intervention to control disease activity may reduce the risks for the atherosclerotic process and cardiovascular events in RA patients.

Objective To investigate the mechanism of renal interstitial fibrosis after unilateral ureteral obstruction and renal protctive effect of angiotensin coverting enzyme inhibitor (ACEI),benazepril on rat kidney. Methods Twenty-four rats were randomly assigned to shame operation group (normal group),operation group, benazepril(10mg?kg -1 ?d -1 ) treatment group after unilateral ureteral obstruction. Renal tissues were examined by light and electronmicroscopy at the 2nd week after operation. Immunohistochemistry was applied to measure the expression of collagen Ⅲ,transforming growth factor ? 1 (TGF-? 1 ) and nuclear factor-kB(NF-kB) in the renal interstitium. Results In comparison with shame operation group, the expression of collagen Ⅲ , TGF-? 1 and NF-kB in the interstitium of operation group markedly increased (P

Chinese Mental Health Journal 1991;0(02):-
Objective: Stress, coping and mental health of the different educational level groups, the different gender groups and the different ages groups were studied. Methods: Ss (N=4 745) of a group corporation evaluated their stress levels, ways of coping and mental health with a self-developed Social Stressor Questionnaire, Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire and SCL-90 scale. Results: The lower educated groups scored lowest in social stressor, positive coping (PC), negative coping (NC) and SCL-90.The higher educated groups scored highest in social stressor, PC and NC, Man scored higher in social stressor, PC and NC, but lower in SCL-90 than women. The younger groups scored higher in social stressor and SCL-90 than older group. Conclusion: The result showed the latter education can improve mental health.

Objective To investigate the prevalence of lipids disorder in patients with diabetes and the relationship of lipids disorder with sex and hypertension. Methods Totally 2 545 diabetic patients were analyzed for their different lipids disorder based on the clinical data. Results In the group of diabetic patients,1 663 cases were found with lipids disorder (65.3%),and females and males with lipids disorder were 69.6% and 61.9% respectively (P
5.Treatment of the unstable intra-articular fractures of the distal radius with LCP internal fixation
Orthopedic Journal of China 2006;0(22):-
[Objective]To evaluate the therapeutic effect of treating AO type C fracture of the distal radius with open reduction LCP plate internal fixation.[Method]From Jan.2004 to Jan.2007,37 cases of AO type C fractures of the distal radius were treated with LCP plate internal fixation. All cases were fixated through volar approach, the length of radius, waist joint angle were recovered, screwed the plate, the exposure of dorsal soft tissues could be obtained by internal-rotate radius,allo-bone graft, and aoto-bone graft was necessary for the case with bone defect.Passive wrist motion, active finger motion and forearm rotation were encouraged immediately after surgery.Active wrist motion was suggested seven days postoperatively.[Result]The 37 cases were followed up for 8 to 21 months, with an average time of 11 months.X-ray pictures showed that one-stage union was achieved in the patients, with a mean healing time of eight weeks. No such complications were found as infection,non-union,loosing of nails, carpal tunnel syndrome or medium neuritis.Their clinical outcomes were evaluated according to modified McBride grading system.Twenty-five were rated as being excellent, eight as good and four as fair, with their good-excellent rate as being 89.18%.[Conclusion]Treatment of type C distal radius fracture with LCP plate internal fixation has many advantages, such satisfactory reduction, rigid fixation, and excellent function.

The kiwifruit germplasms in Jiangxi province were identified by amplified fragment length polymorphism(AFLP)markers.Four primer pairs that had been selected from 64 ones had detected a total of 190 bands among 31 germplasms of kiwifruit, one hundred and seventy nine bands that representing 94.2%of total bands were polymorphic. The identification rates of 31 germplasms were up to 100%.The result suggests that applying AFLP markers to analyze the kiwifruit germplasms is feasible. Then Clustering analysis the AFLP resuit by UPGMA.The dendrogram indicated that the Dice similarity coefficients of 31 germplasms of kiwifruit ranged from 0.50 to 0.85,it suggested that their genetic relationships weren't near.Thirty one germplasms could divide into four groups according to the Dice similarity coefficient 0.56.Sect.Leiocarpae and Sect.Maculatae clustered into one group;A.Melliana of Sect.Strigosae was one group;A.Chinensis var. Rufopulpa,A.Eriantha,A.Fulvicoma var.Lenata,A.Styracifolia and A.Jiangxiensis in Sect.Stellatae clustered into the same group;but the two germplasms of Sect.Stellatae,A.Deliciosa and A.Chinensis clustered into the other group.Interestingly,the‘Ganmi-5’was in the same rank with A.Chinensis from the dendrogram, but it was the variety of A.Chinensis according to the traditional classification. It is necessary that the‘Ganmi-5’should be further researched in classification. The genetic relationships among the kiwifruit germplasms in Jiangxi province were identified and characterized by themolecular method, which was consistent with the traditional classification in certain degree and provided new evidences for the classification of the kiwifruit germplasms.
