Objective To investigate the analgesic effect of auto-moxibostion on lumbar vertebral osteoarthritis? Methods Sixty patients with lumbar vertebral osteoarthritis were randomized equally into the control group and observation group by a random digits table: the former group received routine nursing care and the latter was intervened with auto-moxibustion together with routine nursing care? The curative effects were appraised by short-form of McGill pain questionnaire? Result The curative effect in the observation group was significantly better than that of the control group(P < 0?05)? Conclusions The auto-moxibustion is effective for the analgesia of lumbar vertebral osteoarthritis? The right management of medication and detained medicine is helpful for the increased effect of auto-moxibustion?

Objective To study the efficacy and safety of caspofungin for the invasive furlgal infection in hematopathic neoplasms patients. Methods The retrospective study of effeacy, influencing factors and adverse reaction in 64 patients with hematopathic neoplasms have been treated with capofungin from January 2007 to February 2009.The SPSS13.0 software Was used for statistic analysis. Results The overall efficacy in 64 patients was 54.7%.The median of effective time for patients with fever and non-fever were 1(1-10) day and 12.5(2-30) days, respectively. There were no significant difference in age, detection of fungus, duration time of neutropenia, hematopoietic stem cell transplant, sraft versus host disease, immunoppressive agents,CT scans, loading dose of caspofungin and salvage therapy between two groups.Drug-related toxicities was low and reversible. Conclusion This study strongly supported caspefungin as an option for empiric and salvage antifungal therapy, and therapeutic effect of caspefungin was not influenced by immune state, neutrophils and CT scans,drug-related toxicities was low.

Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2009;29(2):115-118
OBJECTIVETo observe therapeutic effects of different needle-retained durations at scalp acupoints on Tourette syndrome (TS).
METHODSSixty-two cases of TS were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, 31 cases in each group. In the observation group, the needles were retained for 2 h and in the control group, they were retained for 30 min. The middle line of forehead, middle line of vertex and lateral line 1 of vertex were selected as main acupoints, and anterior oblique line of vertex-temporal and posterior temporal line were selected as adjuvant acupoints. They were treated for 2 months, once other day. Yale Global Tic Severity Scale (YGTSS) and Tourette Syndrome Global Scale (TSGS) were used for assessment of therapeutic effects and their therapeutic effects were compared.
RESULTSAfter treatment, YGTSS and TSGS scores had very significant changes in the two groups as compared with those before treatment (both P < 0.01), indicating an obvious improvement in kinetic Tic and vocalizing Tic. The total effective rate was 61.3% in the observation group and 67.7% in the control group with no significant difference between the two groups (P > 0.05).
CONCLUSIONScalp acupuncture therapy of both 2 h and 0.5 h retaining needle can significantly improve symptoms of TS patients, with a similar therapeutic effect.

Journal of Zhejiang University. Science. B 2007;8(11):831-838
A novel chitinolytic and chitosanolytic bacterium, Sphingomonas sp. CJ-5, has been isolated and characterized. It secretes both chitinase and chitosanase into surrounding medium in response to chitin or chitosan induction. To characterize the enzymes, both chitinase and chitosanase were purified by ammonium sulfate precipitation, Sephadex G-200 gel filtration and DEAE-Sepharose Fast Flow. SDS-PAGE analysis demonstrated molecular masses of chitinase and chitosanase were 230 kDa and 45 kDa respectively. The optimum hydrolysis conditions for chitinase were about pH 7.0 and 36 degrees C, and these for chitosanase were pH 6.5 and 56 degrees C, respectively. Both enzymes were quite stable up to 45 degrees C for one hour at pH 5~8. These results show that CJ-5 may have potential for industrial application particularly in recycling of chitin wastes.

GATA6 transcription factor belongs to the GATA family and contains 2 conserved zinc ifnger DNA binding domains. GATA6 not only presents in embryonic tissues but also found in heart, lung and pancreas and is essential for the maintenance of their function. The present review focuses on the critical roles of GATA6 in heart development and atrial septal defect to provide theoretical basis for diagnosis and treatment of atrial septal defect.

ObjectiveTo identify mutations ofGATA4 andGATA6 genes in children with isolated congenital atrial septal defect (ASD).Methods From November 2012 to November 2013, 101 patients with ASD (99 unrelated patients and one twin) who were submitted to catheter-based intervention and 100 ethnicity-matched children without congenital heart disease, blood disorders and chromosomal abnormalities were enrolled. The blood was collected. The coding regions and lfanking regions of theGATA4 andGATA6 genes were ampliifed by polymerase chain reaction and sequenced using the dideoxvnucleotide chain termination technique, and then compared with the normal sequence in the Genbank. Results Two novel heterozygous missense GATA6mutations, c. G145A and c. G151A, were identiifed in 2 unrelated ASD patients, which were not present in the controls. These two mutations predicted the conversion of glycine into serine at amino acid residue 49 (G49S) and glutamate into lysine at amino acid residue 52 (K52E). A heterozygous missenseGATA6 mutation c.43 G>C, which caused a conversion from glycine to arginine, was found in 9 ASD patients and 7 controls. A single nucleotide polymorphism c.99G>T, which did not cause amino acid conversion inGATA4 gene, was found.ConclusionsGATA6 gene is an important transcription factor in heart development. The mutation ofGATA6 gene may cause the change of its transcriptional activity, and lead to ASD.

Objective To perform a biomechanical study on and compare the stability of internal fixation with closed Kirschner wire in different spots from the epicondylus medialis to sulcus nervi ulnaris and epicondylus lateralis of humerus in the treatment of GartlandⅢsupracondylar fractures of humerus in children in order to provide basis for avoiding cubitus varus in clinic. Methods Twenty models of su- pracondylar fractures were made from ten humerus samples, then divided into two groups(group A and group B).They were fixed with closed Kirschner'wires.Ulnar Kirschner wire varied. In group A five spots were selected averagely from the epicondylus medialis to the sulcus nervi ulnaris.Kirschner wires entered from one of the five spots into another spot of humerus. In group B Kirschner wires entered defferent spots of humerus from the central spot of sulcus nervi ulnaris.Biomechanical tests were carried out, such as axial load, axial displacement, stress intensity, axial rigidity and anti-twisty ability.Forty-six children with Gart- landⅢsupracondylar fracture of humerus were treated and followed up for more than one year. Results In beth groups, with the angle of Kirschner wires and fracture side increasing, the strain and the vertical displacement decreased, the stress intensity and the axial rigidity increased, and the anti-twists ability was enhanced. There was statistic difference(P<0.05).The follow-up of the 46 patients showed the elbow joint function recovered well with no cubitus varus malformation. Conclusion Internal fixation with closed Kirschner wires in sulcus nervi ulnaris from the epicondylus medialis and the epicondylns lateralis of humerus for GartlandⅢsupracondylar fracture of humerus in children has the advantages of enhancing bio- mechanical stability, effective prevention of secondary replacement of outlying black of the fracture and a- voidance of cubitus varus. It can be widely used clinically.
