Modern Clinical Nursing 2014;(6):6-11
Objective To investigate the prevalence of dyslipidemia and overweight/obesity of residents from different economic communities.Method One thousand six hundred and twenty-three residents from three communities with different economic condition in Huadu District,Guangzhou from June to July 2012 participated in the survey by questionnaire and health examination. Results The total prevalence rate in overweight/obesity was 29.4%and that of dyslipidemia 45.4%. The difference of prevalence rate of dyslipidemia among the three economic communities was not statistically significant(P>0.05). But the prevalence of overweight/obesity was statistically significantly different among them(P<0.05). The prevalence rate of overweight/obesity in Huadong town with a relatively poorer economy was lower than that of Tianmei town with a relatively better economy(P<0.017). The prevalence rate of overweight/obesity of male among the three communities had no significant differences(P>0.05),whereas the differences in the females were statistically significant(P<0.05),and the prevalence rate of Huadong town was lower than that of Tianmei town&Xinhua town. The differences in the prevalence of overweight/obesity at different ages from all economic communities showed statistical significance(all P<0.05).The residents aged 45~65 accounted for a large proportion of overweight/obesity.Conclusions Residents in the area have a high prevalence of overweight/obesity and dyslipidemia. The prevalence rates of overweight/obesity from the villages with better economic conditions are higher than that from the villages with poorer economic conditions. Residents aged 45-65 from all the three communities have a relatively high occurrence of overweight/obesity and dyslipidemia.
5.STUDY ON ANTIBODY DEPENDENT CELI-MEDIATED CYTOTOXICITY OFBRUCIA MALAY I IN VITRO

Chinese Journal of Schistosomiasis Control 1989;0(04):-
In vitro cellular adherence of murine neutrophils (Neu), macrophages (Mo) and eosinophils (Eos) to infective larvae (L3) of periodic Brugia malayi was promoted by immune serum (AIMS) or fresh normal mice serun (fNMS). Mo and Neu were more potent than Eos . in killing the L3. Eos could adhere to the L3 in the presence of AIMS or fNMS but a weak cy-totoxic effect was observed only when AIMS was used. The activity in AIMS could be removed with Staphylococcus aureus containing Protein-A (SPA) or anti-mice IgG antiserum suggesting that IgG might be in the observed cytotoxicity. Immunofluorescent staining revealed IgG binding to the surface of L3 after incubation with AIMS. Heat treatment of AIMS at 56℃ 30 min resulted in a reduced cytotoxic effect suggesting the role of complement in the reaction. EDTA but not EGTA abolished this activity indicating the operation of complement by alternate pathway. Scanning electron microscopic (SEM) studies comfirmed that the celluar adherence resulted in gross surface damage to the infective larvae.

OBJECTIVE:To study the effects of carbamylated erythropoietin(CEPO)on cardiovascular microcirculation in rats with diabetes mellitus. METHODS:Rats were randomly divided into blank control group, model group,CEPO low-dose,medi-um-dose and high-dose groups(500,1 000,2 000 u/kg)with 12 in each group. The rats in the last 4 groups were reduced diabetes mellitus model. All rats were given relevant medicine intragastrically twice a week, coronary microcirculation endothelial cells were separated after consecutive 4 weeks. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was conducted to detect levels of peripheral serum prosta-cyclin (PGI2),vasoconstrictor endothelin-1 (ET-1),angiotensin Ⅱ(AngⅡ) and von Willebrand factor (vWF) of rats in each group;in vitro CCK 8 test was used to detect endothelial cell activity(OD value);real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction was adopted to detect proliferation-related genes(Ki67,p16),poptosis-related genes(Bad,Bax),and expressions of protein vas-cular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)and AngⅠ. RESULTS:Compared with blank control group, levels of PGI2,ET-1,AngⅡand vWF in serum in model group increased;OD value deceased;Ki67,p16,Bax and VEGF expression decreased;the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Compared with model group, levels of PGI2,ET-1,AngⅡ and vWF in serum in CEPO low-dose,medium-dose and high-dose groups increased;OD value increased;Ki67,p16 and VEGF expression increased;expres-sions of Bad and Bax decreased;the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). The others had no significant difference(P>0.05). CONCLUSIONS:CEPO maybe improve the coronary microcirculation function by upregulating VEGF expression in coro-nary microcirculation endothelial cells and promoting endothelial cells’regeneration.
