International Journal of Surgery 2013;40(11):772-775
At present,in the opinions of the domestic and foreign scholars, the only hope of long-term survival even cure of hilar cholangiocarcinoma was obtained by radical resection(ie R0 resection). The application of preoperative assessment with appropriate and comprehensive strategies can judge the respectability and Intraoperative safety accurately to the tumor, thereby it can improve the radical resection rate and safety of patients with hilar cholangiocarcinoma. In this paper, preoperative assessment strategies are reviewed.

Objective To investigate the clinical and imaging features of cerebral autosomal recessive arteriopathy with subcortical infarcts and leukoencephalopathy(CARASIL).Methods Clinical data of a Chinese Mongolian patient with CARASIL were analyzed retrospectively and pedigree investigation was carried out in the family. Results The proband's parents were cousin and her brother was a patient with CARASIL too.The patients had onset at 25 and 23 years old, respectively.Clinical manifestations included cerebral stroke, progressive motor and mental deterioration, seizures, alopecia, and ocular fundus arteriosclerosis. No common risk factors of cerebral stroke were found in the family.Brain MRI showed bilateral diffuse cerebral white matter lesion with multiple infarcts and O'Sullivan sign.Cervical vertebral MRI showed multiple protrusion of intervertebral disc and significant retrogression. Conclusions CARASIL is clinically characterized by young-age-onset cerebral stroke, cerebral arteriosclerosis, alopecia, cervical and lumbar spondylopathy.MRI shows multiple cerebral infarcts, leukoencephalopathy and retrogression of intervertebral disc.

[Objective]To investigate the relationship between inoculation dose of staphylococcus aureus versus radiological and microbiological changes of rabbit tibial infection with bone defect.[Methods]Staphylococcus aureus(ATCC 29213) with total number of colony from 6?101 to 6?106 were prepared. The bacteria were injected in the tibia after an area of bone defect was made. The inoculated lesions were assessed for changes in radiological and bacteriological parameters at 3 weeks after infection.[Results]Development of significant histological and radiological signs of infected bone defect required an inoculum of at least 6?105 CFU/5 ?l.[Conclusion]These results suggest that strain staphylococcus aureus(ATCC 29213) induces the development of chronic rabbit tibial infection with bone defect, and that this model may be applied to identification of virulence factors in studies of posttraumatic osteomyelitis.

Chinese Journal of Dermatology 1994;0(02):-
Objective To investigate the mRNA expression of CC Chemokines, including RANTES (regulated upon activation, normal T cell expressed and secreted), monocyte chemoattracctant protein-1 (MCP-1), monocyte chemoattracctant protein-3 (MCP-3) and macrophage inhibitory protein 1? (MIP-1?), in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) of patients with chronic urticaria, their mutual correlation, and the relationship between the expression level of CC chemokines and the serum level of IgE and eosinophil cationic protein (ECP) in the patients. Methods Reverse transcription-polymerase reaction (RT-PCR) was applied to semiquantitatively analyze the mRNA expression of RANTES, MCP-1, MCP-3 and MIP-1? in PBMCs from 31 patients with chronic urticaria and 22 healthy subjects. Results The mRNA expression of RANTES, MCP-1, MCP-3 and MIP-1?was significantly higher in the patients than those in the normal controls (P 0.05). In the patients, the mRNA expression of RANTES negatively correlated with the serum level of IgE and ECP (P

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2015;21(7):757-759
Objective To develop an alignment technique based on the movement of body gravity center. Methods As join forces in the system of balance is zero, the position of body gravity center can be calculated by body gravity which is taken from weight sensors, by the special software. Meanwhile, the position of body gravity will be sent to control unit, which can be transformed to driving signal of motor. The sliding table with laser, linked to motor, can make pursuit movement following with body gravity. A precise alignment can be made as the movement of body gravity. The balance function test is also used to make an assistant estimate for the alignment. Results and Conclusion An alignment technique has been developed for the fit of prosthesis and orthotics.

Chinese Journal of Biotechnology 2014;30(1):119-128
Research on novel pullulanase has major significance on the domestic industrialization of pullulanase and the breakdown of foreign monopoly. A thermophilic bacteria LM 18-11 producing thermostable pullulanase was isolated from Lunma hot springs of Yunnan province. It was identified as Anoxybacillus sp. by 16S rDNA phylogenetic analysis. Full-length pullulanase gene was cloned from Anoxybacillus sp. LM18-11. The optimum temperature of the pullulanase was between 55 and 60 degrees C with a half-life as long as 48 h at 60 degrees C; and its optimum pH was between 5.6 and 6.4. V(max) and K(m) of the pullulanase was measured as 750 U/mg and 1.47 mg/mL, which is the highest specific activity reported so far. The pullulanase crystals structure showed a typical alpha-amylase family structure. The N-terminal has a special substrate binding domain. Activity and substrate binding were decreased when the domain was deleted, the V(max) and K(m) were 324 U/mg and 1.95 mg/mL, respectively. The pullulanase was highly heterologous expressed in Bacillus subtilis by P43 promoter. The extracellular enzyme activity was 42 U/mL, which increased more than 40 times compared to the initial strain. This pullulanase has good application prospects.

Objective To explore the effects of electro-acupuncture combined with surface gastric pacing on gastrointestinal dysfunction for patients with spinal cord injury (SCI).Methods Seventy-five SCI patients with gastrointestinal dysfunction were divided randomly into an electro-acupuncture group (group A),a gastric pacing treatment group (group B) and a group for which electro-acupuncture was combined with gastric pacing (group C).There were 25 cases in each group.Members of group A were given 30 minutes of electro-acupuncture per day ; those of group B had 30 minutes of gastric pacing treatment twice per day ; group C was provided with both 30 minutes of electro-acupuncture and one 30-minute gastric pacing treatment per day.All of the interventions lasted ten days. Before and after the treatment, all patients were assessed using a clinical symptoms score and with electrogastrograms, and any adverse effects were observed. Results There was a significant improvement in upper abdominal pain and epigastric discomfort, bloating and early satiety, nausea, vomiting,as well as belching and loss of appetite in each group after treatment. Before treatment there was no significant difference in the average clinical symptom scores of the three groups. After treatment the values had decreased, and those of group C were significantly lower than group A or B.The average scores of groups B and A were not significantly different. The electrogastrogram results showed than after treatment there was significant improvement in N% and T% in groups A and B,and also significant improvement in N%,B% and T% in group C compared to before treatment.Group C's improvements were all significantly greater than those observed in groups A and B.Conclusion Electro-acupuncture or gastric pacing alone can give some improvement in gastrointestinal function and its electrophysiological indicators, but their combined effects are better than when either is used alone.

From the Chinese medicine point of view on the physiological functions of healthy atmosphere and vitality, healthy atmosphere and vitality of the relationship, we can know that healthy atmosphere and vitality has important role in the life activities of the body. They complement each other. In the pathogenesis of AIDS, AIDS epidemic poi-son has the characteristics of wounding healthy atmosphere. When it attacks the body upright, vitality will be injured firstly. Because of that it is inextricably linked with the characteristics of the AIDS epidemic poison and vitality physiological functions. Therefore, AIDS epidemic poison attacks healthy atmosphere and vitality co-exist, the injury of healthy atmosphere and vitality is throughout the whole process of AIDS .
