Objective To supply anatomic foundation for TRAM and DIEP flaps breast reconstruction with both sensory innervation and rectus abdominis muscle function preserved. Methods Dissections of T8~T12 nerves in anterior abdominal wall were performed on 9 embalmed female cadavers (18 sides). By reconstructing DIEP flaps in 15 cases, the natures of the intercostal nerves and the relations with deep inferior epigastric perforators were investigated. Results Most intercostal nerves pierced the rectus abdominis muscle in the lateral one third. There were interconnections between muscular branches of segmental nerves. Sensory branches traveling with vascular perforators were divided into medial branch and lateral branch. The mean length of pure sensory nerve was (27.6?12.2)mm. Conclusion It is possible to preserve sensory innervation by coapting lower intercostal nerves to the 4th thoracic nerve in TRAM and DIEP breast reconstruction. Sparing lateral one third of rectus abdominis muscle does not cause denervated atrophy in the rectus abdominis muscle after TRAM breast reconstruction.

Objective To assess the effect of sodium nitroprusside (SNP)-induced hypotension on gastric intramucosal pH (pHi), gastric intramucosal PCO2 ( PgCO2 ) and the difference between PgCO2 and PaCO2 (PgCO2-PaCO2) .Methods Fifteen ASA I patients (11 male, 4 female) aged 22-43 yr8, weighing 51-68 kg undergoing laminectomy for decompression of spinal cord in prone position were enrolled in this study. The patients were intubated and mechanically ventilated with 100% O2 after induction of general anesthesia. Anesthesia was maintained with isoflurane (1.2-1.4%) . Radial artery was cannulated for BP monitoring and boood sampling. TRIP tonometry catheter 14 F was inserted into stomach and connected to Tonocap ( Datex-Ohmeda, Finland) . Controlled hypotension was induced with SNP infusion at 1-5 ?g kg-1 min-1 . MAP was reduced to (60 ?5) mm Hg in 5-7 min and maintained for 60 min. Blood samples were taken before induced hypotension (T, ) , at 30 min (T2 ) and 60 min of hypotension (T3) and 30 min after hypotension (T4) for blood gas analysis. pHi, PgCO2 -PaCO2 and PETCO2 were also determined. Results MAP decreased by 35% and 33% at T2 and T3 as compared with the baseline (T, ) . pHi decreased significantly and PgCO2, PgCO2-PaCO2 increased significantly at T, as compared with those at T( ( P 0.05). pH at T2 ,T3 and T4 and BE at T3 and T4 were significantly lower than the baseline value (T1). PaCO2 and PET CO2 were significantly higher at T4 than those at T, (P

Journal of Third Military Medical University 2001;23(2):208-210
Objective To explore the effect of photon on blood biologic components in blood photochemical treatment. Methods After the blood sample was adjusted to an appropriate density, it was treated with 0.1 nmol/ml 8-MOP (8-methoxypsoralen), 0.1 nmol/ml TFO (triple helix-forming oligonuletide) and UVA (ultraviolet A radiation) at the intensity of 1 800 μW/cm2 for 3~20 min. The changes of biologic activities of major components in blood were measured with automatic blood gas analyzer, platelet aggregation analyzer, blood coagulation analyzer, micropipette aspiration system and assay of poly-lysine adsorption. Results The oxygen content in blood was increased gradually. The resilience of erythrocyte was enhanced ,but its adhesiveness was decreased. The parameters related to blood coagulation had some changes but all remained within the normal ranges. Conclusion Under the definite condition of blood virus being inactivated effectively, the nonspecific effect of photosensitive response may improve blood oxygen content, enhance the transfiguring ability of erythrocyte and decrease the blood viscosity, but having no obvious change on blood coagulation.

Journal of Practical Stomatology 2000;0(05):-
Objective:To examine the expression pattern of DSP,DMP1,CBFA1,BMP2 in rat dental pulp stem cells(RDPSCs).Methods:Immunohistochemical staining was carried out using antibodies against DSP,DMP1, CBFA1 ,BMP2 in rat dental pulp stem cells. Mineralization was induced in the RDPSCs and expression of DSP and DMP1 was measured after induction.Results:CBFA1 and BMP2 were positive in RDPSCs. Only a few RDPSCs were stained positive for DMP1. DSP expression was observed in the minority of these cells. However, the majority of the RDPSCs were found strongly positive for DSP and DMP1 after mineralization induction. Conclusion:Positive expression of CBFA1 and BMP2 indicates the premature nature of RDPSCs. The dentin-specific expression of DSP demonstrates that the RDPSCs can differentiate along odontoblastic lineage.
