Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2006;0(12):-
Problem-based learning(PBL) teaching mode was applied in Urology practice of the medical students. The externs were organized to analyze and discuss a real case, having grasped enough knowledge of relative diseases, and to provide their advice about the diagnosis and treatment, changing question mark into a full stop. And then their conclusions were verified by post-operational follow-up.PBL teaching mode can increase the students'study motivations and interests and the ability to resolve practical problems, master medical knowledge, train their clinical thinking and enhance the quality of teaching and thus it is an effective teaching mode.
5.Inhibitory effect of antisense oligodeoxynucleotide targeting survivin on growth of human gastric cancer cells
Chinese Journal of Cancer Biotherapy 1994;0(01):-
Objective:To investigate the inhibitory effect of antisense oligodeoxynucleotide (ASODN) targeting survivin gene on gastric cancer cell line SGC-7901. Methods: Cultured SGC-7901 cells were divided into 6 groups: control group, lipofectin group, oligodeoxynucleotide(ODN) group, 1?10-5mol/L ASODN group, 3?10-5mol/L ASODN group and 5?10-5mol/L ASODN group. After incubated with ASODN, the expression of survivin mRNA in the SGC-7901 cells was examinated by PCR; the apoptosis of SGC-7901 cells was studied by the morphological observation using inverted microscope, electron microscope, flow cytometry and DNA agarose electrophoresis; telomerase activity was determined using PCR-based TRAP (telomere repeat amplification protocol) assay; MTT assay was used to study the inhibitory effect of ASODN on the proliferation of SGC-7901 cells. Results: ASODN obviously inhibited the expression of survivin mRNA in the SGC-7901 cells. The apoptotic rate of gastric cell was significantly increased after incubated with ASODN ([7.01?0.21]% vs [25.0?0.52]%, P
6.Progress in the scaffolds for spinal cell transplantation
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2007;0(41):-
A great progress has been achieved in research on repair of nerve functional recovery following spinal cord injury because of the development of nerve tissue engineering. As an important part of nerve tissue engineering, cell scaffold is divided into natural biomaterials, synthetic materials and composite materials.Besides, nanotechnology has been applied to study scaffolds. However, there are many problems in the application of cell scaffold and further study is needed. With the continued development of biotechnique and cross-correlated technique, the cell transplantation scaffold will make more effect on repair of spinal cord injury.
7.Influence of Heat and Moisture Exchanger Filter on Temperature of Inspiratory and Endotracheal Gas
Chinese Medical Equipment Journal 2003;0(10):-
Objective To investigate the influence of heat and moisture exchanger filter(HMEF)on the temperature of inhaled and endotracheal gas during mechanical ventilation. Methods Thirty patients (ASAI-II) were selected and divided randomly into 2 groups: control group and HMEF group. The temperature of inhaled gas was monitored with hygrothermograph and the temperature of endotracheal gas was monitored with temperature probe. Baseline values were set at the moment of intubation and then the values were recorded at the first hour after intubation and the second hour after intubation. Results With the increase of the mechanical ventilation time, the temperature of inhaled and endotracheal gas decreased significantly in control group and increased significantly in HMEF group; The temperature of both inhaled and endotracheal gas in HMEF group were significantly higher than that in control group at the moment of the first hour after intuba- tion and the second hour after intubation; There was correlation between the temperature of inhaled gas and the temperature of endotracheal gas at the moment of intubation, but it was not the same at the moment of the first hour after intubation or the second hour after intubation. Conclusion HMEF can make the cold inhaled gas warmer when it reached the trachea; Temperature probe may be better than hygrothermograph for monitoring the temperature of trachea.
8.Hemorheologic changes during acute lung injury induced by oleic acid on dogs
Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 1986;0(03):-
Erythrocyte aggregation and related parameters were observed in this study.Erythrocyte aggregation index, hematocrit and fibrin fibrinogen degradation products in-creased significantly at 5 minutes after oleic acid injection. Erythrocyte electrophoretic timein native plasma delayed obviously at 5 minutes after oleic acid injection, whereas that inPBS altered very little. The concentration of plasma calcium and erythrocyte intracellularmagnesium decreased at 5 minutes, while plasma magnesium increased. The stepwise reg-ression analysis suggested that during lung injury the parameters that have greatest effect onerythrocyte aggregation were the change of hematocrit, erythrocyte intracellular magnesiumand negative charge of erythrocyte surface.
