Objective To explore the effect of photon on blood biologic components in blood photochemical treatment. Methods After the blood sample was adjusted to an appropriate density, it was treated with 0.1 nmol/ml 8-MOP (8-methoxypsoralen), 0.1 nmol/ml TFO (triple helix-forming oligonuletide) and UVA (ultraviolet A radiation) at the intensity of 1 800 μW/cm2 for 3~20 min. The changes of biologic activities of major components in blood were measured with automatic blood gas analyzer, platelet aggregation analyzer, blood coagulation analyzer, micropipette aspiration system and assay of poly-lysine adsorption. Results The oxygen content in blood was increased gradually. The resilience of erythrocyte was enhanced ,but its adhesiveness was decreased. The parameters related to blood coagulation had some changes but all remained within the normal ranges. Conclusion Under the definite condition of blood virus being inactivated effectively, the nonspecific effect of photosensitive response may improve blood oxygen content, enhance the transfiguring ability of erythrocyte and decrease the blood viscosity, but having no obvious change on blood coagulation.

Journal of Interventional Radiology 2015;(6):540-543
With the rapid development of nanotechnology, nano oncology medicine that is formed through the combination of nano science and oncology medicine has become an important field emerging in nano science. Because of its unique optical properties, the gold nanorod (GNR), that is a rod-shaped nano materials, has shown great potential applications in the biomedical field, especially, in GRNs thermotherapy, radio-sensitizing effect therapy and targeting therapy of the tumor. Being a newly-developed therapy, gold nanorods combined with internal radiotherapy has already obtained excellent durative effect in targeting therapy of tumor. This paper aims to make a comprehensive review about its mechanism and its clinical application and research situation in recent years.

Objective To study the tactics, methods and relevant factors of transcatheter embolization for acute gastrointestinal hemorrhage. Methods Fifteen patients with acute gastrointestinal hemorrhage were embolized by one of the methods of Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA), gelfoam or metal coils. Four of the fifteen patients were upper gastrointestinal hemorrhage, the other cases were lower gastrointestinal hemorrhage which were embolized using coaxial microcatheter. Results Fourteen of the fifteen patients were treated successfully by these methods. There were total 17 times of embolization for 16 parts, the success rate reached 94.1%. The other one reveaded an infarction of intestine after the embolization and was cured by resection. One of the fifteen patients appeared a recurrent hemorrhage 3 months later, and confirmed to be a hemangiolymphangioma. Two patients with malignant tumor were operated upon selectively. The other patient of intestinal hemorrhage was embolized successfully by using a metal coil after shock. Leiomyoma complicated with large area of bleeding was finally proven by operation. Conclusions Transcatheter embolization for acute massive gastrointestinal hemorrhage is safe and efficient under different choice of methods. The key of success is the right selection of embolized target artery and dosage of emboli.

Objective To discuss the relationship between the fracture of the clavicle which was fixed by tor-sional-shaped plate and nonunion after operation. Methods Retrospective analysis was conducted in 426 patients with midshaft clavicle fractures.Among the patients, the A group used torsional-shaped plate to meet the anatomical structure of the clavicle:the medial plate matched under the front face of the clavicle, and the lateral plate matched the up face of the clavicle. And the traditional method was used in the B group.Patients were followed up for at least 12 months, the patients were judged by X-ray criteria for nonunion. Results A total of 28 patients with nonunion, including 4 cases in A group,24 cases in B group. After statistics processing, the difference between A group and B group was significant (χ2 =6.679,P=0.010).Conclusion We find that the treatment of the fracture of the middle part of the clavicle with torsional-shaped plate can effectively reduce the incidence of nonunion.

Objective To screen the bacteriophage for splitting multiple drug resistance Acinetobacter baumanii to provide a new scheme for the phage therapy of multiple drug resistance Acinetobacter baumanii infection. Methods Multiple drug resistance Acinetobacter baumanii isolated from hospitals in Shanghai served as the host bacteria. The bacteriophages were isolated from different environments. The morphology and size of bacteriophages were observed by electron microscope with negative staining. The influence of pH and temperature on its stability was analyzed. The phage DNA was extracted and sequenced. The related gene function was analyzedResults A virulent phage named D218 of drug-resistance Acinetobacter baumanii was isolated from the effluent sewerage of hospital. The electron microscopy observation showed that it is a long-tail phage of polyhedron symmetric structure, with a diameter of about 65nm,the tail length of about 100nm and width of about 15 nm.The phage kept high activity at pH 3-11 and temperature 4-50 ℃.The genome size is 102449bp with GC content of 37.2%.It encodes 167 ORFs.Conclusion A new virulent phage D218 of drug-resistance Acinetobacter baumanii is isolated, which is stable to pH and temperature, which increases the new data for its application in hospital infection prevention and control, and the phage library setup.

Objective To investigate early and midterm outcomes after minimally invasive1-stop or 2-stage MICSCABG and PCI hybrid surgery. Methods Between June 2011 and February 2015, 28 patients(19 males and 9 females) with multiple coronary artery disease underwent MICS-CABG and PCI hybrid surgery, 4 cases of which were1-stop hybrid surgery and 24 cases were 2-stage.All patients were followed up to major adverse events(recurrent angina, secondary myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure, serious arrhythmias, secondary bypass graft) as the end point event. Results All patients were no perioperative deaths, shock, infection and myocardial infarction.ICU stay time was(22.9 ± 12.5) h, hospital stay time was(6.75 ±2.10) days, intubation time was(21.1 ± 17.7) h.Perioperative1-stop and2-stages hybrid surgery had significant statistical differences in ICU stay time and intubation time[(41.8 ±32.9) h vs.(16.5 ± 8.5) h;(40.0 ± 34.2) h vs.(18.8 ± 8.5) h;P < 0.05].Patients were followed up for 1-44 months, averaged (17.9 ± 12.8) months. The postoperative major adverse event rate was 7.14%, one patient died of cerebral hemorrhage after 6 months, and one patient underwent coronary angiography because angina. Conclusion l-stop or 2-stage MICS-CABG and PCI hybrid surgery provides a safe, effective and cosmetic revascularized method to patients with multiple coronary artery disease.Meanwhile, the procedure does not destroy the way of re-operation.The perioperative and early results of follow-up are satisfactory.

Objective To study the activities of the alcoholic extract from Fructus Polygoni Orientalis (EFPO) against antioxidation. Methods The peroxidation in homogenate of rat heart, liver and kidney was induced by ?OH generation system Fe2++ascorbic acid. Malondialdehyde (MDA) was determined by TBA colorimetric method. Superoxide (O-2) from zymosan-stimulated neutrophils of rat was measured by NBT reduction method. H2O2-caused hemolysis of erythrocytes was measured by spectrometry. Results MDA in homogenate of heart, liver and kidney of rat that induced by ?OH generation system Fe2++ascorbic acid was inhibited by 6.3, 12.5, 25, 50, 100, 200 ?g/L EFPO; IC50 of EFPO to MDA in heart, liver and kidney was 31.8, 32.5 and 40.2 ?g/L respectively and its dose-effect relation was of negative relativity and the relative coefficient was -0.886, -0.874 and -0.918 (all P
