1.Study of Preparation Technology of Guanzhoukang Oral Liquid

Objective To establish the best technological condition of Guanzhoukang Oral Liquid. Method Based on the evaluation marker of extraction amount and gentiopicroside content in prescription, the factors influencing the effect of water decoction and alcohol reflux procedure were selected by orthogonal design. Results The best technological condition of Guanzhoukang Oral Liquid should be as follows:radix gentianae, radix isatidis and radix scutellariae contained in prescription were extracted by alcohol in which the concentration was 65%, 8 times of total amount of material herb, extracted 3 times, 1 h for each time. The left material herbs were extracted by water decoction in which amount was 12 times of total amount of material herb, soaked for half hour and decocted 3 times, 1 h for each time. Conclusion The result provides experimental basis for the preparation technology of Guanzhoukan Oral Liquid.
2.Determination of Chlorogenic Acid in Fuyanqing Perfusate by HPLC

Objective To establish a method for the determination of chlorogenic acid in Fuyanqing perfusate (FP). Methods The sample was extracted with methyl and the chromatographic condition were as follows: C18 chromatographic column (250 mm? 4.6 mm,5 ? m),a mobile phase of methyl alcohol and water and methyl acid(30 ∶ 70 ∶ 1),the detection wavelength at 327 nm and the flow rate being 0.5 mL/min.Results A linearity of chlorogenic acid in FP was obtained in the range of 0.16 ? g~ 0.58 ? g,r=0.9996(n=6).The average recovery was 98 % and RSD =1.0% (n=6).Conclusion This method is easy,sensitive and accurate for the determination of chlorogenic acid in FP.

Objective To establish a method for the determination of Radix et Rhizoma Rhei in Roufuyuliecuotie. Methods The sample was extracted with methyl and the chromatographic condition was as follows :C18 chromatographic column (250 mm?4.6 mm, 5 ?m), a mobile phase of acetonitrile-water- glacial acetic acid (60∶40∶l), the detection wavelength at 437 nm and the flow rate at 1.0 mL/min. Results A linearity of Radix et Rhizoma Rhei in Roufuyuliecuotie was obtained at range of 0.014~0.14 ?g, r =0.9996 (n =6). The average recovery was 98% and RSD=1.47% (n=6). Conclusion This method is easy, sensitive and accurate for the determination of Radix et Rhizoma Rhei in Roufuyuliecuotie.
5.Endovascular graft exclusion for thoracic and/or abdominal aorta aneurysm: a report of 5 cases

Objective To evaluate the effect of endovascular graft exclusion (EVGE) for aorta aneurysm(AA). Methods From October,2000 to August 2002,5 cases of AA were treated by EVGE, 4 of which were thoracic and abdominal aortic dissecting aneurysm and the another one was abdominal AA. Results All the operations were successfully performed. The pseudo cavity in the 4 cases of aortic dissection disappeared after the operation,and the another aortic aneurysm was successfully isolated. Conclusions EVGE is an effective ,less trauma and safe, when the indications are carefully selected.
6.Cost-Minimization Analysis of 3 Therapeutic Regimens for Severe Acne

7.Study on Quality Standard of Flavone Extracts in Licorice Residue

Objective To establish the quality standard of flavone extracts in licorice residue; To provide the methods and basis for the quality control of total flavonoids extracted from licorice residue.Methods TLC was applied to compare the extracts with liquiritin and licorice; UV-spectrophotometry was used to measure the content of total flavones; EDTA-2Na titration was used to determine the content of calciumion.Results In the chromatogram of the test product, the spots of the same color were displayed on the corresponding position of the control medicinal material, and the fluorescent spots of the same color were displayed on the corresponding position of the control product. UV-spectrophotometry showed glycyrrhizin had a good linear relationship in the range of 3.32–9.96 μg/mL (r=0.9997), the absorbance between 0.3 and 0.7. The average recovery rate was 102.41% (RSD=3.22%), and the average content of total flavonoids in three batches of flavonoids extract was 8.82%. The average content of calciumion was 0.107% (RSD=3.61%).Conclusion This method has good repeatability, high sensitivity and accurate results, and can be used for the quality control of flavonoids in licorice residue.
8.Study on Improving the Quality Standard of Gubi Zhitong Liquor

OBJECTIVE:To improve the quality standard for Guibi zhitong liquor. METHODS:TLC was used for the qualita-tive identification of Radix angelicae,Notopterygium incisum,Radix aucklandiae and Magnolia officinalis in the preparation;HPLC was used for the contents determination of imperatorin and cinnamaldehyde:the column was Waters Symmetry Shield RP-C18 with mobile phase of methanol-water for imperatorin(60:40,V/V)and methanol-water for cinnamaldehyde(35:65,V/V)at a flow rate of 1.0 mL/min,detection wavelength was 254 nm for imperatorin and 290 nm for cinnamaldehyde,column temperature was 25℃,and the injection volume was 20μL. RESULTS:The TLC spots of R. angelicae,N. incisum,R. aucklandiae and M. of-ficinalis were clear and well separated,negative control without interference. The linear range was 3.0-30.0 μg/mL for imperatorin (r=0.9998)and 3.978-39.78 μg/mL for cinnamaldehyde(r=0.9999);RSDs of precision,stability and reproducibility tests were lower than 2.0%;recoveries were 96.94%-102.64%(RSD=2.37%,n=6)and 96.78%-99.53%(RSD=1.00%,n=6). CONCLU-SIONS:The improved standard more effectively control the quality of the Guibi zhitong liquor.
9.Determination of Paeoniflorin in Fufang Chishao Granula by HPLC

Objective To develop an HPLC method for determination of paeoniflorin in Fufang Chishao Granula. Methods The separation was performed on a Waters C18 column (250 mm× 4.6 mm, 5μm) with acetonitrile-water (30∶70) as the mobile phase at the flow rate of 1.0 mL/min. The detection wavelength was set at 230 nm. Results Paeoniflorin showed good linearity (r=0.999 9) in the range of 0.266-5.32 μg, and the average recovery was 98.00%, RSD=2.22%. Conclusion The method is convenient, sensitive, accurate and repeatable. It can be applied to determination of paeoniflorin in Fufang Chishao Granula and control the quality of the preparation.
10.Content Determination of TancantongⅡA and Cryptotanshinone in Zhiwei Fuwei Wan by RP-HPLC

Objective To establish the method for determining the content of cryptotanshinone and tanshinone ⅡA in Zhiwei Fuwei Wan. Methods The determination of cryptotanshinone and tanshinone ⅡA was performed on Symmetry C18 column with mobile phase consisted of acetonitrile-0.2%phosphate (60∶40) at flow rate of 1.0 mL/min. The detection wavelength was set at 262 nm. Results The linear ranges of cryptotanshinone and tanshinone ⅡA were 0.081 4-0.407 2 μg (r=0.999 7) and 0.163 6-0.81 8 μg (r=0.999 5) respectively, the average recoveries were 99.70% (RSD=1.37%) and 99.22% (RSD=0.94%) respectively. Conclusion The method is simple and rapid for the quality control of the product.
