1.Development of Domestic HIS and Future Tendencies
Chinese Medical Equipment Journal 1989;0(02):-
The development history of Chinese HIS is reviewed, the gap between domestic HIS and international one are compared from the scale of investment and the proportion of technical personnel, and the existing problems in domestic HIS are analyzed. It is suggested that the future tendencies of domestic HIS include the improvement of information standardization, more attention is paid to the construction of HIS,and the modern management should be taken as new objective, etc.[Chinese Medical Equipment Journal,2008,29(2):39-41]
2.Study on Design and Application of Expert System for Rational Clinical Medicine Administration over Coronary Heart Disease
Chinese Medical Equipment Journal 2004;0(09):-
Objective To make a safe and effective medicine therapeutic scheme correctly and quickly. Methods The data of previous cases and fuzzy knowledge gained through experience were stored in the database through digital techniques,in an effort to construct the knowledge database for rational clinical medicine administration. Then, the experience and optimized knowledge instructive to clinical drug use were selected through data mining techniques. Results The expert system based on clinical rational medicine administration over coronary heart disease was finally designed with instructive principles of rational clinical drug administration being proposed, which provided effective decision-making support for clinical diagnosis and treatment. Conclusion It is concluded that the system guarantees the knowledge preservation of clinical treatment, improves the correctness and rationality of clinical treatment, alleviates burdens on medical working staff and medical treatment cost, improves the medical efficiency and promotes the development of hospitals.
3.Application of Data Warehousing and Data Mining in HIS
Chinese Medical Equipment Journal 2004;0(08):-
Objective To discover the basic principle of hospital operation and predict the hospital developing trends through analysis of massive data involved in the hospital information system(HIS),with a view of providing better services to patients. Methods The Oracle Warehouse Builder was used as technical platform of date warehouse building in the process of modeling the HIS by using relational database and modeling the data warehouse by using the star model of the multi-dimensional database models.Data Miner,a data mining tool,is also applied to analyze information in the hospital related to inpatient structure and mobility, expenses structure, medical workload and economic benefits. Results Support was provided to management and decision making in hospital. Conclusion Wide applications of data warehousing and data mining are observed in HIS,resulting in remarkable economic and management benefits.

Objective To explore the clinical efficacy and safety of cyclosporin A combined with glucocorti-costeroid in the treatment of juvenile uveitis. Methods 66 juvenile uveitis patients(93 eyes)were selected.Accord-ing to the conditions, the patients were treated by oral administration of cyclosporin A,2-5mg·kg -1 ·d -1 ,twice per day, combined with prednisone,0.5-1mg·kg -1 ·d -1 ,taken in the morning. After 4-6 months treatment, the inflam-mation control and visual acuity improvement were observed, and before and after treatment liver and kidney function, blood glucose, blood pressure, white blood cell counts were checked.Adverse reactions in patients were recorded with regular follow-up.Results After 4-6 months treatment, heal inflammation 78 eyes, accounted for 83.87%;improved 9 eyes, accounted for 9.68%;no respond in 6 eyes, accounted for 6.45%;the total effective rate was 93.55%.Visual acuity was obviously improved in 50 eyes, improved in 27 eyes and no response in 16 eyes;the total effective rate was 82.79%;56 eyes were removed from residual standard. In the stage of therapy,6 patients had liver and kidney dys-function,6 patients had blood abnormalities, and 3 patients had low blood sugar, all were controlled by symptomatic treatment in the normal range, and no systemic progression. Conclusion Cyclosporin A combined with glucocortico-steroid applied in juvenile uveitis improved the results with obvious clinical effect and fewer systemic side effect.

Objective To measure plasma microRNAs dysregulated in patients with pancreatic cancer and to assess the potential of these miRNAs as biomarkers for pancreatic cancer. Methods Thirty-seven patients with pancreatic cancer who underwent pancreatic resection between June 2010 to July 2011 were enrolled in the Lihuili Hospital, and ten healthy volunteers were used as control in this study. The expression levels of miR-190,miR-196a,miR-221 and miR-222 were analyzed using quantitative real time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR).U6 was used as an internal control. The relationships between clinicopathoiogic characteristics of pancreatic cancer and microRNA expression levels were analyzed. Results The relative abundances of plasma microRNAs were significantly higher in pancreatic cancer patients than in the control group. The highly expressed plasma miR-190,miR-196a,miR-221,miR-222 levels did not correlate with clinicopathologic characteristics of patients such as sex, age, tumor maximal diameter, and level of serum CA199.The plasma miR-196a levels showed a positive correlation with TNM stage in pancreatic cancer patients. Conclusions The plasma levels ofmiR-190,miR-196a,miR-221 and miR-222 were highly upregulated in pancreatic cancer patients. These microRNAs in plasma may provide a new method in the early diagnosis of pancreatic cancer.

BACKGROUND:There is a high morbidity after spinal cord injury, and the therapeutic strategy is limited to early surgical intervention, medication and post-treatment exercise that only can improve the motor function slightly. However, there is no effective cure method. OBJECTIVE:To study the effect of partition-type spinal cord catheter combined with bone marrow stromal stem cels on T8 spinal cord transection damage in rats. METHODS:Fifty rats were randomized into five groups (n=10 per group): group I, T8 spinal cord transection (5 mm) was made in rats with no treatment; group II, the partition-type tube was inserted into the injured site after modeling; group III, partition-type tube combined with bone marrow stromal stem cels was implanted into the injured site after modeling; group IV, partition-type tube combined with polyglycolic acid fibers was implanted into the injured site after modeling; group V, partition-type tube combined with bone marrow stromal stem cels and polyglycolic acid fibers was implanted into the injured site after modeling. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:At 2 and 12 weeks postoperatively, Basso, Beattie and Bresnahan scores were significantly higher in the groups III and IV than the groups I, II, IV (P < 0.05). At 12 weeks postoperatively, the latency of motor evoked potential below the injury plane was significantly decreased in group V compared with groups I, II, III, IV (P < 0.05). Immunohistochemical results displayed that in the groups III and V, regenerated nerve fibers grew positively and arranged orderly among the tubes, and there was no obvious winding phenomenon. Under transmission electron microscopy, a certain number of myelinated nerve fibers were found as bridges among groups. These findings indicate that the partition-type chitosan tube combined with bone marrow stromal stem cels has a good connection with the injured spinal cord a good connection to restore part of electrophysiological properties, accelerate the axon regeneration, recover the motor function, thereby providing a new direction for the treatment of spinal cord injury.
