Objective To investigate the histopathologic changes of andometrium and research the cause of abnomal uterine bleeding in permenopausal women.Methods The biopsy sample of andometrium of 870 cases with abnomal uterine bleeding in permenopausal women were restrospectively analyzed.Results The most commonly hostopathologic change in andometrium of abnomal ulterine bleeding in permenopausal women is endometrial hyperplasia(76.67%).The most cases were simple hyperplasia(66.12%).3.0%of cases were endometrial carcinoma,most of them were well-differentiated endometrioid adenocarcinoma(88.46%).The morphological features of the endometrial adenocarcinomas is loss of polarity of the endometrial glands.The tumor cells have large round vesicular nuclei,prominent nucleoli and coarse chromatin.In addition,endometrial stroma was instead of by the fibrous and/or granulation tissue type stroma,usually with inflammatory response.Conclusions Abnormal ulterine bleeding occurred mainly in permenopausal period.Endometrial hyperplasia is the main cause of abnomal ulterine bleeding in permenopausal period.Most endometrial carcinomas in perimenpausal period are well-differentiated endometrioid adenocarcinomas.An important differential diagnosis of the endometrioid carcinoma in a curettage specimen is to differentiate it from atypical endometrial hyperplasia and atypical polypoid adenomyoma.

Objective To evaluate the effect of different health education methods on inhospital pa-tients in sports medicine department and establish the most appropriate health education method. Meth-ods Sixty patients in the sports medicine department of a certain class-3 and grade-1 hospital were inves-tigated by questionnaires in the 10 aspects (such as the acceptability,comprehension,practicablity,vividness,instruction,etc) of 7 different health education methods.The quantitative score of O to 10 grade was adopted.Results The scores of 7 different health education methods were statistically different.The highest score was DVD which was followed by special explanation.The difference of the seven different health education methods was demonstrated in the following aspects such as mutual communication,vividness and memory holding.While the difference in practicability and instruction was not statistically different. Conclusions The health education methods were various and each had its characteristic,so they should be combined.The more satisfying health education effect will be obtained by carrying out health education with DVD as the major style complemented with special explanation,group explanation and multimedia teaching style.

Objective:To explore the relationship between coronary heart disease (CHD)and silent brain infarction (SBI).Methods:A total of 430 patients who had received coronary angiography were enrolled,including 330 CHD patients and 100 non-CHD patients.According to complicated with SBI or not scanned by cranial MRI,CHD pa-tients were divided into CHD+SBI group (n=208)and CHD without SBI group (pure CHD group,n=122).Levels of high sensitive C reactive protein (hsCRP)and homocysteine (Hcy)were measured,and coronary artery score (CAS)and Gensini score (GS)were calculated in all patients.Results:Incidence rate of complicated SBI in CHD patients was significantly higher than that of non-CHD patients (63% vs.31%,P <0.01);compared with pure CHD group,there were significant rise in age [(60.79±9.65)years vs.(67.14±9.77)years],percentages of hy-pertension (41.0% vs.66.8%),hyperlipidemia (37.7% vs.55.8%)and levels of hsCRP [(3.92±2.17)g/L vs. (5.85±6.27)g/L],Hcy [(9.20±3.20)μmol/L vs.(10.54±4.25)μmol/L],CAS [(0.88±0.88)scores vs. (1.94±0.94)scores]and GS [(18.62±16.23)scores vs.(53.04±39.61)scores],and percentage of left anterior descending artery stenosis (25.4% vs.69.2%)in CHD+SBI group,P <0.01;Logistic regression analysis indicated that risk factors of SBI were age (OR=1.07,95%CI:1.032~1.108),hypertension history (OR=2.195,95%CI:1.104~4.366),Hcy (OR=1.088,95%CI:1.001~1.182),CAS (OR=1.776,95%CI:1.049~3.007)and GS (OR =1.039,95%CI:1.013~ 1.066),P <0.05 or <0.01. Conclusion:Incidence rate of SBI in CHD pa-tients is significantly higher than that of non-CHD patients;the more severe coronary artery disease is,the higher percentage of complicated SBI is.CAS and Gensini score abnormities suggest there may be SBI existence simultaneously.

The vitamin B 12 Productivity of 14 marine bacterial strains isolated from the China Sea was determined microbiologically using Escherichia coli 113 3. Tests were made on the culturing media and culture conditions for Vitamin B 12 production. The results showed that the culturing medium in which the extract from soybean cake with seawater and some nutriments were added was suitable to recognize further some marine Vitamin B 12 producing bacterial strains. The medium with appropriate cobalt chloride and some salts added may be useful for Vitamin B 12 biosynthesis. The PH value of the fermentation for the testing strains was raised with the lapse of time for fermentation. A better Vitamin B 12 production may be obtained by keeping the fermentation liquid slightly basic till about 96h. No.2627 strain in all the strains tested showed well in the productivity. The mixed cultivation of some strains (including No.2627 strain) tested often has potentiality and superiority for Vitamin B 12 production.

Objective To identify the fungi isolated from two acute radiation sickness(ARS)patients as a result of an accidental 60Co irradiation,and to observe the sensitivity of the fungi to antifungal agents.Methods The pathogenic fungi were morphologically examined and identified with the VITEK 2 automatic microorganism analyzer and API 20C AUX yeast identifying card.The susceptibility of fungi to antifungal agents was tested with broth microdilution method.Results Candida parapsilosis and Sporothrix schenckii were identified from case A in the samples of blood,bone marrow,urine and stool etc.Most of pathogenic fungi were sensitive to the antifungal drugs in vitro.In case B,Candida parapsilosis,Candida tropicalis,Trichosporon asahii and Aspergillus terreus were identified in the samples of sputum,urine or stool etc.Accompanying with the prolongation of antifungal treatment,the sensitivity of fungi to the antifungal drugs were decreased remarkably.Conclusion Multiple infections in different organs could be caused by pathogenic fungi,such as Trichosporon asahii and Sporothrix schenckii.Although most of pathogenic fungi were sensitive to the antifungal drugs in vitro,the effects of antifungal treatment were not satisfactory owing to poor general conditions of 2 acute radiation sickness(ARS)patients and marked compromise of the immune system.Because of antibiotic and antifungal drugs were used early for preventive purpose,the clinical samples should be specially treated in order to raise the positive rate of fungal identification.

Objective To study the radiation effects on the serum concentration of urea nitrogen (BUN), creatinine (Cre), ?2-microglobulin (?2-MG) and uric acid (UA), and to evaluate the injuries to renal function induced by a 60 Co irradiation accident in Shandong province. Methods The concentrations of urea nitrogen, serum creatinine and serum uric acid were determined by enzymatic methods. The concentrations of serum ?2-microglobulin were determined by the immunoturbidity methods using HITACHI 7170s automatic biochemical analyzer. Results The serum concentrations of BUN and Cre of 2 patients increased significantly after irradiation, and the serum concentration of UA in the two cases elevated too after irradiation, but didn't reach the normal value. The serum concentrations of ?2-microglobulin also increased significantly after irradiation. In case A which received 20~25Gy irradiation, the concentrations of serum BUN, creatinine and ?2-microglobulin increased to 41.63mmol/L, 364?mol/L and 9.2mg/L, respectively. In case B which received 9~15Gy irradiation, the concentration of serum BUN, creatinine and ?2-microglobulin increased to 52.2mmol/L, 199?mol/L and 11.3mg/L, respectively. There seemed a dosage-dependent effect on the BUN, Cre and ?2-microglobulin concentration. Conclusion 60 Co may irradiate the tissues of kidney directly, and irradiate the cells of other tissues and organs, lead to necrosis and degenerations accordingly on the tissues of kidneys and other organs. In the process of necrosis and degenerations, a large amount of metabolic products was released which is poisonous to the kidney. The present results showed the concentrations increased of all the four renal serum markers mentioned above. It is supposed that the renal cells might be damaged by the Cobalt ? ray irradiation.

Objective To study the estrogenic effects of DDT-derivative pesticides. Methods Using a recombinant human estrogen receptor gene yeast cell to estrogenic activity of DDT pesticides. The different concentrations of 17?-estradiol and individual DDT isomers and homologue such as p,p′-DDT, o,p′-DDT, p,p′-DDD and p,p′-DDE and their mixtures were added to yeast cultures, then estrogenic activity was measured by quantification of ?-galactosidase after 4 hours culture. Results DDT showed the ability to play the estrogenic effects like a ligand to bind hER and the dose dependent model existed between the estrogenic effects and the DDT concentration. The relative activity of o,p′-DDT, EC50=5.30?10-7mol/L, was higher and the estrogenic effects of isomers exhibited synergism, AI=1.5. The relative activity of p,p′-DDE , EC50=9.28?10-5mol/L, was lower and the antagonistical action between the homologues was found, AI=-1.38. DDT pesticides presented a synergism, the regression equation was =-2.600 6x2-28.079x-21.757,EC50 was 2.57?10-8mol/L, AI=0.83. Conclusion DDTs are ER mediated environmental estrogens, p,p′-DDT, o,p′-DDT, p,p′-DDD and p,p′-DDE show a synergic effect.

Aim The present study was designed to investigate the growth inhibition and anti-angiogenesis of arsenic trioxide (As 2O 3) on B16 cells xenografts in C57BL/6J mice and observe the effects of As 2O 3 on cell proliferation, cell morphology, cell cycle and apoptosis in vitro. Methods Mice melanoma cell line B16 was transplanted into C57BL/6J mice. The weight of tumor and percent of tumor development were examined after As 2O 3 intraperitoneal administration. HE staining and immunohistochemistry for Ⅷ-R Ag were performed to detect the microvessel density in tumor tissues. CellTiter 96 Aqueous One was used to determine the cell proliferation. Giemsa and Feulgen staining were used to observe the morphological changes of the cells. Cell cycle and apoptosis were analyzed by flow cytometry (FCM). Results As 2O 3 significantly inhibited the tumor growth in vivo, with an inhibitory rate of 81.61%. The microvessel density in tumor tissues was obviously reduced after treated with As 2O 3. The study reports the detection of neuroprotective effect of 10 kinds of coumarin derivatives and explores their possible mechanism. MTT method was used to screen the neuroprotective effect of 10 coumarin derivatives on neurotoxic agents (Aβ25-35 and rotenone) or OGD (oxygen-glucose deprivation). A compound with better protective effect was obtained. Then the effect of this compound on neurotoxic agents on PC12 was detected by the morphological observation. Furthermore, the effect of compound 3 on microglia with lipopolysaccharide (LPS) induced inflammation was detected. And the inflammatory factor was tested. Finally, direct free radical scavenging ability was detected. Compound 3 was found to be the best compound through three neurons toxic models. Not only compound 3 ameliorated cell viability reduced by three neurons toxic models, but also significantly inhibited the production of inflammatory factor (TNF-α and IL-1β). And its free radical scavenging ability is very good, especially the effect on superoxide anion, which is comparable with vitamin C. The significant scavenging effect of compound 3 on superoxide anion might be the mechanism of the neuroprotection. Compound 3 as a potential neural cell protective agent merits further investigation.
