1.The mental health of the STD and post-STD patients and the intervention countermeasures
Chinese Medical Ethics 1994;0(06):-
Sexually transmitted diseases(SDT) are closely related with people's sexual behavior, and ethics at the same time, inseparable from social impact. It is a typical biological-psychological-social model of disease.Besides the well-treated to patients in the health care process, the medical staff should note the patients' psychological health problems, the post-STD syndrome, and take a series of countermeasures, such as the protection of personal privacy, love, trust, understanding and respect,to promote the physical and mental health of the patients.
2.Clinical study on lipid-lowering therapy with simvastatin in elderly patients with lower extremity atherosclerosis disease
Chinese Journal of Geriatrics 2008;27(10):753-755
ObjectiveTo evaluate the therapeutic effects of simvastatin in elderly patients with lower extremity atherosclerosis disease. MethodsOne hundred and twenty-eight patients were divided into 2 groups:64 cases with intermittent claudication(group l)and 64 asymptomatic cases with intermittent claudication(group 2).Sixty-four normal cases were served as control group(group 3).THe patients of group l were given simvastatin for 18 months. The differences in levels of blood lipids and C-reactive protein(CRP),the size of plaque and the changes between pre-and post-treatments were observed among three groups. ResultsTC,LDL-C and CRP levels were significantly higher in group l than those in group 3 before the treatment[(6.3±1.7)mmol/L vs. (5.2±1.3)mmol/L,(3.8±1.3)mmol/Lυs.(2.1±1.3)mmol/L,(5.7±1.5)mmol/Lυs.(3.3±1.4)mmol/L,respectively,all P<0.05].TC,LDL-C and CRP levels significantly decreased in group0.053.There were no differences in plaque size and in plaque number in group 1 between pre-and post -treatments(both P>0.05),but the clinieal symptoms were relieved or disappeared. There were significant differences in plaque size, blood lipid level and CRP level in group 2 after 18 months treatment(all P<0.05). ConclusionsSimvastatin can delay the development of artherioscIerosis in the patients with lower extremity atherosclerosis disease.CRP can be used as an early index of disease development and illness monitoring.

Shanghai Journal of Acupuncture and Moxibustion 2017;36(7):781-784
Objective To investigate the clinical therapeutic effect of different frequency electroacupuncture on poststroke hemidysesthesia. Methods Sixty patients with poststroke hemidysesthesia were randomly allocated to treatment and control groups, 30 cases each. Both groups received electroacupuncture at the same points. The electroacupuncture frequency was 100 Hz in the treatment group and 1 Hz in the control group. The clinical therapeutic effects were evaluated in the two groups at 30 days after treatment. Results The total efficacy rate and the cure and marked efficacy rate were 93.3 and 80.0, respectively, in the treatment group and 86.0% and 43.3%, respectively, in the control group. There was no significant difference in the total efficacy rate between the two groups (P<0.05).There was a statistically significant difference in the cure and marked efficacy rate between the two groups (P<0.05). There was a statistically significant pre-/post-treatment difference in the limb dysesthesia score in the two groups (P<0.05). There was a statistically significant post-treatment difference in the limb dysesthesia score between the treatment and control groups (P<0.05).Conclusions Electroacupuncture is an effective way to treat poststroke hemidyse- sthesia. High frequency electroacupuncture is more effective than low frequency electroacupuncture.

Many factors are involved in the ever tenser physician——,including the poor communication between doctors and patients, patients' zexcessive expection towards doctors, and the improper intervention from external factors such as the mass media, etc. To cope with the problems in current physician——patient relationship, medical institutes should strenghten the construction of medical ethics within their systems, and the"Third-party mediation mechanism"conducted in some areas can also be taken as effective measures to improve current physician-patient relationship.

Objective To explore the risk factors for complicated hypertension in type 2 diabetic patients. Methods A community-based case-control study was conducted and some risk factors of complicated hypertension in type 2 diabetic patients were analyzed.126 cases and 273 controls were type 2 diabetic patients with and without hypertension respectively. Results The results from univariate logistic regression analysis showed that the occurrence of complicated hypertension in type 2 diabetic patients was statistically related to the body mass index(BMI),waist hip ratio(WHR) and the intake of grain crop. The corresponding OR with 95% CI were 1.474(1.101~1.973),1.478(1.180~1.852) and 1.349(1.098~1.657),respectively.After adjusted for confounding factors, the associations mentioned above were still statistically significant. No associations were observed between complicated hypertension in type 2 diabetes and diabetes duration, glycemia control, exercise, smoking and alcohol drinking, serum total cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein, low density lipoprotein and very low density lipoprotein cholesterol levels. Conclusion The high body mass index(BMI),high waist hip ratio(WHR) and high intake of grain crop may increase the risk for the complicated hypertension in type 2 diabetic patients.

Objective To investigate the fluorescence quantitative PCR (FQ-PCR) based on TaqMan-MGB( Minor Groove Binder) technique for quantification of fetal DNA in maternal plasma and its variation during pregnancy. Methods Maternal DNA extracted from 237 plasma samples obtained from 30 pregnant women (5-40 gestational weeks and post delivery). The TaqMan-MGB probe and SRY primers were designed to amplify the SRY gene sequence of Y chromosome in maternal plasma by FQ-PCR. Results This system was sensitive enough to detect a male DNA among 20 000 female DNA. Fetal DNA can be detected in maternal plasma as early as 6+6 weeks of gestation and increased with the pregnant progress with the peak level at the third trimester. Between 24- 48 h after delivery, the SRY gene was negative in maternal plasma. The percentage of fetal DNA concentration in maternal total plasma DNA was 4. 88% in the first trimester, 6. 10% in the second and 4. 77% in the third trimester. The SRY positive signal was obtained from samples of 13 women bearing male fetuses and no signal was detected for all of the 17 women bearing female fetuses. Conclusions The FQ-PCR for quantification of fetal DNA in maternal plasma is highly sensitive, specific and reliable. Fetal DNA does present in maternal plasma at a higher concentraton. FQ-PCR may be useful in nonin-vasive prenatal diagnosis.

Objective To investigate the effects of myopia on first-order kernels six ring responses of multifocal electroretinogram (mfERG). Method We continuously selected 80 subjects aged from 13 to 20 year-old and divided four groups into normal, mild myopia, moderate myopia and high myopia. Each group had 20 subjects that were examined with mfERG of 103 stimuli locations. The amplitude and latency of N1, P1, N2 waveforms of six-ring first-kernel responses in mfERG were analyzed. Result With increasing of myopia degree, the response density of N1, P1, N2 waveforms of six-ring first-kernel responses in mfERG was decreased gradually (all P0.05). Conclusion Myopia can decrease the response density of first-order kernels six ring responses of mfERG, which is very important to determine the abnormality of mfERG in the clinic.

Chinese Journal of Nosocomiology 2006;0(09):-
OBJECTIVE To study the alteration of microbial population distribution in intensive care unit (ICU) for the reference to clinical drug administration. METHODS The distributed features of 413 strains of infection germs detected among the patients of ICU were statistically analyzed during the years of 2002 to 2005. RESULTS The main germs of 413 strains were Pseudomonas aeruginosa(87 strains), Acinetobacter baumannii(48 strains), Stenotrophomonas maltophilia(34 strains), Staphylococcus epidermidis(30 strains), S. aureus (20 strains) and Escherichia coli (19 strains). The first 3 species were P. aeruginosa (21.07%), A. baumannii(11.62%) and Sten. maltophilia (8.23%). CONCLUSIONS Most pathogens in ICU are Gram-negative bacteria and the proportion of Sten. maltophilia increases gradually. It is a very important clinical value to inspect the bacterial distribution and antibiotics should be used rationally.
