To study the absorption and transepithelial transport of six coumarins (umbelliferone, osthole, columbianadin, columbianetin acetate, angelol-A and angelol-B, isolated from the roots of Angelica pubescens f. biserrata) in the human Caco-2 cell monolayer model.

Objective To investigate the clinical value of different treatments of uterine artery and vein in laparoscopic hysterectomy. Methods In 184 patients accepting lapaxoscopie hysterectomy, ligasttre vessel sealing system ,was applied to uterine vessels, while bipolar electric coagulation to coagulate the uterine vessels during the operation. Results Among the groups, women undergoing ligasure hand the smaller amount of estimated blood loss and was associated with shorter operating time, there were statistically significant differences among the two groups( P＜0.01). Conclusion Each of the two operative ways is feasible or laparoacopic hysterectomy. The way of dissociating uteri arteriovenous completely before they were cut off with ligasure in laparoscopic panhysterectomy has many important clinical value such as easy appliance, safety, convenient operation, clear operation field and so on.

Objective To study the constituents from the berry of Panax ginseng. Methods Compounds were separated and purified by column chromatographic methods. Their structures were elucidated by physicochemical properties and spectral analyses. Results Twelve compounds were isolated from water extracts of the berry of P. ginseng. They were identified as benzoic acid (Ⅰ), isoginsenoside-Rh3 (Ⅱ), ginsenoside-Rh2 (Ⅲ), ginsenoside-Rh1 (Ⅳ), ginsenoside-Rg1 (Ⅴ), ginsenoside-Re (Ⅵ), ginsenoside-Rd (Ⅶ), ginsenoside-Rc (Ⅷ), ginsenoside-Rb2 (Ⅸ), ginsenoside-Rb1 (Ⅹ), ?-sitosterol (Ⅺ), and 20-O-?-D-glucopyranosyl-20 (S)-protopanaxadiol named as compound K (ⅩⅡ). Conclusion The compound K is a new natural product.

Objective struclured clinical examination (OSCE) is a kind of examination which could objectively evaluate the students′clinical skills.Nowadays,OSCE are wildly applied in medical educational field throughout the world.Timely discussion and analysis on the problems existed in the implementation process of OSCE is necessary.Measures should be taken to improve the OSCE examination and to meet the requirements of higher clinical practice training level such as increasing clinical skill simulation training hardware investment,optimizing settings and conlents of the examination and the test stations as well as introducing standardized patients (SP) and other measures.

Objective To investigate the expression of VEGF-C,CD31 and MVD,in human ovarian epithelial carcinoma tissues,development and metastasis of epithelial ovarian carcinoma by observing their expression and analyzing their correlation.Methods 40 samples of ovarian epithelial carcinoma tissues and 20 samples normal ovary tissues were selected from 2004 to 2005 in the third affiliated hospital of Harbin Medical University,as well as 20 cases of normal ovarian tissues samples as control using immunohisrochemical staining assay,we analyzed the expression of VEGF-C,MVD detected by CD31.The relationship of these three factors with patients age tumor stage,differentiation,pathohistological type,were analyzed.Results 67.5%(27/40)had high expression of VEGF-C,15%(3/14)had low espression.The survival of patients with high VEGF-C expression was significantly worse than that of patients with low and negative expression.Conclusion VEGF-C and CD31 may play an important role in the occurrence and development of epithelial ovarian tumors,while MVD maybe associated with the ivasion and metastasis of carcinoma.The detection of VEGF-C combined with CD31 and MVD can objectively reflect the biological behavior of epithelial ovarian tumor.

Objective To study the application value of direct digital X‐ray radiography system in the degenerative lumbar insta‐bility .Methods 100 patients with degenerative lumbar instability disease were collected in our hospital ,in which there were L4 ,L5 (80 cases) and L5 ,S1 (20 cases) with degenerative lumbar instability disease .Carestream DRX‐Evolution system was used ,which included conventional horizontal lumbar function photography (control group) and physiological load of lumbar function photography (observation group) .Changes of the displacement or the angle of the lumbar segment on two groups were measured ,and the statisti‐cal software was used to carry on the comparative analysis .Results In 100 patients ,the position and the physiological load position were showed on the sagittal position which were as following :For the lumbar segment of L4 and L5 ,flexion [position (4 .50 ± 0 .25) mm , load position (4 .78 ± 0 .30) mm] ,extension [position (4 .87 ± 0 .22) mm ,load position (5 .18 ± 0 .30) mm] ,and for the lumbar segment of L5 and S1 ,flexion [position (4 .64 ± 0 .24) mm ,load position (4 .91 ± 0 .24) mm] ,extension [position (4 .95 ± 0 .30) mm , load position (5 .30 ± 0 .29) mm];For the intervertebral angle degree of L4 and L5 ,flexion (position 10 .64° ± 0 .29° ,load position 12 .12°± 0 .57°) ,extension (position 11 .57°± 0 .24° ,load position 12 .61°± 0 .28°);For the intervertebral angle degree of L5 and S1 , flexion (position 11 .63° ± 0 .26° ,load position 12 .72° ± 0 .27°) ,extension (position 13 .55° ± 0 .30° ,load position 14 .58° ± 0 .33°) , respectively .The difference between two groups was statistically significant (P< 0 .05) .Conclusion Compared with traditional method ,DR lumbar physiological weight‐bearing functional can more accurately understand the lumbar instability degree ,grading and lumbar positive rate ,which provides the basis for clinical diagnosis and treatment plan .

Using new tape of teaching models in modern medical science education is a trend for medicine development.Investigating medical students’approbation degree and attitudes towards the teaching models,analyzing and resolving the problems about that will provide the valuable reference to reforming the medical education and fostering qualified practitioners.

OBJECTIVE: To establish Caco-2 (a human colon adenocarcinoma cell line) cell monolayer model and the standard operation procedure for studying and assessing intestinal absorption of chemical components of traditional Chinese medicine. METHODS: Caco-2 cell monolayer model was established and evaluated by morphology feature using scanning electron microscope, inverted microscope and transepithelial electrical resistance (TEER) assay. Additionally, the model was further tested for the activity of alkaline phosphatase and the apparent permeability (Papp) of standard compounds, i.e. propranolol and atenolol, which were the control substances for high and poor transcellular transport marker, respectively. RESULTS: The integrality of cell monolayer, cell differentiation (reflected by expression of alkaline phosphatase and cell monolayer morphology), and the Papp value of standard compounds in the established Caco-2 cell model were satisfactory. All parameters tested were in good agreement with those reported in the literature. CONCLUSION: The established Caco-2 cell model can be used to study the intestinal absorption of orally administrated chemical components of traditional Chinese medicine and their absorption mechanism.

PBL (Problem-based learning) is a kind of teaching method, which is helpful for guiding students to solve practical and complex problems. The compiling of PBL teaching plans is the key to the implementation of PBL teaching. According to the teaching outline of internal medicine, we set the PBL teaching plan, formulated the teaching goal, collected the clinical real cases, finished the compiling of PBL cases of student version and teacher version, and preceded teaching practice accord-ing to the PBL cases. Improving and constructing the compiling framework of internal medicine PBL teaching plan laid the theoretical foundation for carrying out internal medicine PBL teaching.

Objective To detect the genomic copy number variations(CNVs) of mice embryonic neural tissue with neural tube defects (NTDs) induced by methotrexate (MTX),and investigate the molecular genetic mechanisms between folic acid metabolism disorders and NTDs pathogenesis.Methods C57BL/6J NTD mice model was induced by MTX on gestational day 7.5,and the maternal serum and NTD embryonic neural tissues were collected;the array-comparative genomic hybridization(array-CGH) assay was utilized to analyze the whole genomic CNVs in NTD embryonic neural tissues;reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR) was used to confirm the positive results;the maternal serum concentrations of folic acid and related metabolites and dihydrofolate reductase (DHFR) activity were detected by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry and enzymatic methods,respectively.Results ArrayCGH and RT-PCR results showed the 3 high confidence CNVs on XqE3,XqA1.1-qA2 and XqA1.1 in the NTD embryonic neural tissues.The NTD maternal serum concentrations of 5-methyltetrahydrofolate,5-formyltetrahydrofolic acid,S-adenosyl methionine and DHFR activity were reduced significantly compared with the control group,and there were statistical differences(all P ＜0.05).Conclusions There are obvious CNVs in embryonic neural tissue of NTD mice induced by MTX and folic acid dysmetabolism might cause mice embryonic neural tube developmental disorders through CNVs.
