Objective:To observe the susceptibility factors of elderly patients with corynebacterium striata in sputum of lower respiratory tract and analyze its clinical therapeutic effect. Methods:The clinical data of 192 elderly inpatients infected with corynebacterium striatum detected in sputum of lower respiratory tract were retrospectively analyzed in Quanzhou First Hospital Affiliated to Fujian Medical University from January 2019 to June 2021.The detection rate of corynebacterium striata was calculated, and the susceptibility factors and clinical efficacy were compared between the infection group(n=102)and the colonization group(n=90).Results:The detection rate of corynebacterium striata(detected cases / numbers of qualified lower respiratory tract sputum specimen)was 0.8%(72/8976)from January to December 2019, 2.3%(134/5877)from January to December 2020, and 3.0%(121/4 039)from January to June 2021, the difference was statistically significant( χ2=93.93, P<0.01). The detection rates of corynebacterium striatum during three corresponding periods in elderly patients were 0.6%(57/8 976), 1.4%(81/5 877)and 1.9%(78/4 039), respectively, with statistically significant differences( χ2=45.57, P<0.01). The incidences or values of following indexes were higher in infection group than in colonization group: age of patients, admission of intensive care unit, malnutrition, use of hormones, combined use of antibiotics, use of invasive mechanical ventilation, use of fiber bronchoscope, reduced cough reflex, other basic diseases, and so on, but the differences were not statistically significant(all P>0.05). The clinical effective rates were 41.2%(42/102)in the infection group and 48.9%(44/90)in the colonization group, respectively, and the differences was not statistically significant( P>0.05). Only 25 patients(24.5%)in the infected group were treated on corynebacterium striatum according to drug sensitivity results.Among them, the clinical effective rate of the treatment group and the untreated group was 68.0%(17/25)and 32.5%(25/77), respectively, the difference was statistically significant( χ2=9.84, P<0.01). The clinical effective rate of untreated group was lower than that of colonization group, the difference was statistically significant( χ2=4.62, P<0.05). Conclusions:The detection rate of corynebacterium striatum in elderly patients is high, and increases year by year.Patients infected with corynebacterium striatum usually has a variety of susceptibility factors, if not taking effective treatment measures, may have adverse outcomes. In clinical work, it is necessary to pay attention to and reduce the susceptibility factors of corynebacterium striatum, and to correctly interpret the etiological reports, so as to adopt a reasonable and effective therapeutic schedule.

Objective To observe the effect of electroacupuncture on Caspase-9, cytochrome C (Cyt-C) and apoptotic protease activating factor 1 (Apaf-1) protein in rats with neurogenic bladder after complete spinal cord injury. Methods A total of 60 female Sprague-Dawley rats were involved, in which 36 rats were randomly selected to establish the neurogenic bladder model with T10 spinal cord transected. 24 successful models selected were randomly divided into model group (n=12) and electroacupuncture group (n=12). The other 24 rats were also randomly divided into sham group (n=12) and blank group (n=12). The electroacupuncture group was electroacupunctured on Ciliao (BL32), Zhongji (RN3), Sanyinjiao (SP6) and Dazhui (GV14) for seven days. All of them were assessed with urodynamic test, TUNEL method was used to determine the apoptosis rate of the spinal cord, and Western blotting was used to detect the expression of Caspase-9, Cyt-C and Apaf-1 protein. Results Compared with the blank group and the sham group, the maximum bladder capacity and compliance decreased (P<0.01), the urinary bladder pressure and leakage point pressure increased (P<0.05); the apoptosis rate of the spinal cord increased (P<0.001); the expression of Caspase-9, Cyt-C and Apaf-1 protein increased (P<0.05) in the model group and the electroacupuncture group. Compared with the model group, the maximum bladder capacity and compliance increased (P<0.01), the urinary bladder pressure and leakage point pressure decreased (P<0.05); the apoptosis rate of the spinal cord decreased (P<0.05); the expression of Caspase-9, Cyt-C and Apaf-1 protein decreased (P<0.05) in the electroacupuncture group. Conclusion Electroacupuncture on Ciliao, Zhongji, Sanyinjiao and Dazhui could improve the bladder function after spinal cord injury in rats. The mechanisms may be related with the down-regulation of Caspase-9, Cyt-C and Apaf-1 protein to reduce apoptosis.

Objective:To investigate the associated factors of depressive symptoms among patients with neo-plasms.Methods:Nationwide(excluding Hong Kong,Macao, and Taiwan),30 505 residents were selected by a combination of stratified sampling and quota sampling according to the proportion of the seventh national population census.Patient Health Questionnaire-9(PHQ-9),General Anxiety Disorder-7(GAD-7),self-made questionnaire, and simplified perceived social support scale used to evaluate depressive symptoms, anxiety symptoms, behaviors, and perceived social support among patients with neoplasms. Results:Totally 359(1.2%)patients with self-repor-ted clinically diagnosed neoplasms were included,of which 151(42.1%)patients with malignant neoplasms and 208(57.9%)patients with benign neoplasms. The detection rate of depressive symptoms in patients with neo-plasms was 76.6%.Less than three days of walking for more than 10 minutes per day in the past week(OR=6.63),4-6 days of walking for more than 10 minutes per day in the past week(OR=5.00),the low(OR=4.80)or medium(OR=3.06)overall sleep quality, the lower perceived friend support(OR=4.66),and anxiety symp-toms(OR=1.74)among patients with neoplasms were risk factors for depressive symptoms. Conclusion:Patients with neoplasms generally might be at a high risk of depressive symptoms, especially for those patients with less ex-ercise,poor sleep quality, and low perceived social support.

Investigating the influence of acupuncture on cellular signal transduction is an efficient pathway to reveal the action mechanism of acupuncture on spinal cord injury (SCI). In this study, the experiment research literature regarding acupuncture for SCI during past 10 years was reviewed and analyzed. As a result, it was found that acupuncture could regulate the expression of the first intercellular messenger as well as the second signal molecules including cyclic adenosine monophosphate, cyclic guanosine monophosphate, Ca2+, nitric oxide to intervene the apoptotic signaling pathway, Rho/Rock signaling pathway, Wnt signaling pathway, MAPK signaling pathway, Notch signaling pathway, etc., which could improve regeneration and repair of SCI. In conclusion, in future researches more attention should be paid to the cellular signal transduction networks and different effects among various acupoint combinations and acupuncture modalities on cellular signal transduction, which have an essential role for revelation of clinical application rules and optimization of clinical treatment protocol.

A new-type digital electric plum-blossom needle instrument of controllable and adjustable parameters was developed to achieve an automatic tapping instead of manual tapping technique and integrate the function of plum-blossom needle with that of micropulse electrical phase. The alternating current of periodic variation changes the direction of magnetic field around, induces the vibration of the cone head and tapping movement, outputs the micropulse current and acts on the affected area in treatment. The new-type digital electric plum-blossom needle instrument achieves the automatic tapping movement, precisely adjusts the stimulating strength and frequency according to diseases and integrates the tapping stimulation with pulse current to form circulation loop on the skin and intensify the therapeutic effects. This instrument is the big innovation of traditional plum-blossom needle. It is not only applicable for clinical treatment or family healthcare, but also for scientific research with the adoptable digital therapeutic parameters, which benefits the application and development of plum-blossom needle therapy.
