Objective To explore the relationships among social adaptation and the resilience, social support and coping style in undergraduate nursing students. Methods 758 students from two medical colleges in Shandong province were recruited by stratified random sampling method. They were assessed with China College Student Adjustment Scale (CCSAS),Resilience Scale for Adults (RSA),Social Support Rating Scale (SSRS),Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire (SCSQ).The data was analyzed with the structural equation mode. Results The social adaptation of undergraduate nursing students showed significantly positive association with the resilience, social support, positive coping style(r=0.113-0.607,P<0.01),but the campus adaptation had negative association with negative coping style(r=-0.117,P<0.01).The path analysis showed that the resilience, social support and coping style were the direct predictors of social adaptation (β=0.57,P<0.05;β=0.0.26,P<0.05;β=0.1,P< 0.05),and the resilience, active coping style played the mediating role between social support and social adaptation (β=0.31,P<0.05;β=0.05,P<0.05).Conclusion The social adaptation and the resilience, social support and active coping style of nursing undergraduates are closely related.

Objective To explore the postnatal health education needs of preterm fathers so as to provide evidences for the formulation of health education on preterm parents. Methods A total of 60 fathers of preterm infants admitted in Peking University First Hospital NICU from January 2015 to June 2015 were selected and surveyed at different time points including admission, discharge and the first follow-up. Preterm parents care needs questionnaire and State Anxiety Inventory (S-AI) were used to evaluate phased health education needs and anxiety status of preterm fathers. Results At the admission time, fathers care more about the condition and prognosis of preterm infants, with the S-AI score of (49.57±10.88). At the discharge time, preterm fathers showed great needs of nursing skills and ability, with skill need score of (20.27±6.07) and ability need score of (11.96±3.37). After the discharge, preterm fathers focused on feeding skills and knowledge of observation and treatment for special situations. Conclusions Preterm fathers have phased needs and anxiety for infants from admission to follow-up stage. Nurses need to provide phased and individual health education and support to increase the nursing ability of preterm parents so as to improve the psychological states of preterm parents.

Objective To explore the clinical effects of individualized nutritional support on patients with acute complete cervical spinal cord injury. Methods The patients with acute complete cervical spinal cord injury in the Trauma Emergency Center of a hospital between January 2011 and December 2012 were randomly divided into experimental group (n=49) and control group (n=54). The diets of patients in the control group were provided by family members guided by nurses in hospital, and the patients in the experimental group were given individualized nutritional supports which were formulated by nutrition consultation according to patients′specific conditions. The incidence of complications ( constipation, lung infection, hyponatremia and hypoproteinemia) within 14d and the average stay in hospital in two groups were compared. Results In the experimental group, the incidence of constipation, lung infection, hyponatremia and hypoproteinemia were significantly lower and the average stay in hospital was shorter than those in the control group. The differences between the two groups were statistically significant (P < 0. 05). Conclusions Providing individualized nutritional support for patients with acute complete cervical spinal cord injury can reduce the incidence of complications and the average stay in hospital.

Objective:To study the osseointegration and new bone formation of titanium implants treated by sandblasting acid etching combined with plasma spraying tantalum coating in rats. Methods:After polishing and cleaning of the pure titanium specimens(SLA),the tantalum coating was prepared by plasma spraying after sandblasting and acid etching(SLA-Ta).The surface feature of the samples was observed by SEM,EDS and contact angle meter. The samples of SLA and SLA-Ta were respectively implanted into femur condyle at each side of 18 SD rats(SLA group and SLA-Ta group),and the rats were double-fluorescent labeled after surgery. The rats were sacrificed 4 and 12 weeks after implantation respectively(n=9),the samples of implants and surrounding tissue were examined by mi-cro-CT scanning, fluorescence microscopy and histological staining, the new bone formation and osseointegration around the implant were analyzed.Results:Micro-nano Porous structureed tantalum coating was successfully prepared on the surface of SLA titanium. In vivo experiments showed that 4 and 12 weeks after implantation, the amount of new bone and osseointegration around the implant in the SLA-Ta group were significantly higher than those in the SLA group. Conclusion:The micro-nano multi-level structure formed by SLA combined with plasma sprayed tantalum can promote new bone formation, accelerate mineralization deposition, and improve the osseoin-tegration capacity of the implant.

Objective? To explore the current status of frailty in elderly patients with chronic heart failure (CHF), and the influencing factors. Methods? From January 2016 to December 2017, a total of 190 elderly inpatients with CHF in Cardiology Department in China-Japan Union Hospital of Jilin University were selected as participants by convenient sampling method, and the CP-FI-CGA questionnaire was used in the study. Results? The 190 elderly patients with CHF scored (0.05-0.87) points in the CP-FI-CGA questionnaire with an overall average score of (0.32±0.10) points, indicating a moderate level of frailty. Multiple linear regression analysis showed that age, NYHA cardiac function classification and sleeping condition were the influence factors for frailty in elderly patients with CHF (P<0.01). Conclusions? The elderly patients with CHF are mostly at moderate levels of frailty, the older the patients are, the worse their cardiac function and the sleep condition become, and the more serious the frailty get.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the expression and clinical significance of G protein-coupled receptor 31 (GPR31) in colorectal cancer tissue.
METHODSCancer tissues and adjacent normal tissues of 321 cases with colorectal cancer confirmed by pathology and undergoing resection in the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University from January 1996 to December 2008 were collected. The expression of GPR31 was examined by immunohistochemical staining. According to the expression level of GPR31 (A value=0.051), all the patients were divided into low GPR31 expression group and high GPR31 expression group. Clinicopathology and prognosis between the two groups were compared. Risk factors affecting prognosis were investigated.
RESULTSGPR31 expression was significantly higher in colorectal cancer tissues compared to adjacent normal tissues (mean A, 0.063±0.014 vs. 0.045±0.020, P<0.001). A total of 197 cancer tissue samples were defined as low expression and 124 as high expression. Significant difference was observed in the number of patient in pM classification between the two groups (P=0.007). High expression group had obviously higher distant metastasis rate than low expression group [12.1% (15/124) vs. 4.1% (8/197), P=0.007]. The 5-year survival rate and tumor-free survival rate were 84.3% and 82.2% in the low expression group, and both 59.7% in high expression group (all P<0.05). Multivariate analysis revealed elderly, abnormal CEA, lymphatic metastasis, distant metastasis and up-regulated GPR31 expression were independent risk factors of overall survival and disease-free survival in colorectal cancer patients (all P<0.05).
CONCLUSIONSGPR31 expression is significantly up-regulated in colorectal cancer tissues. High GPR31expression indicates poor prognosis of colorectal cancer, and may be used as a predictive marker.
