International Journal of Laboratory Medicine 2014;(16):2166-2167,2170
Objective To explore the clinical application value of blood uric acid(SUA),beta 2 microglobulin(β2-MG),lipopro-tein(a)[LP(a)]and C-reactive protein(CRP)in the early renal damage caused by elderly hypertension. Methods According to the clinical diagnosis,210 elderly patients with primary hypertension were selected as the research subjects and 50 healthy elderly per-sons as the healthy control. The SUA,β2-MG,LP(a)and CRP levels were detected. The differences were compared between the groups with the different severity degrees of hypertension and the healthy control group;Furthermore, these 210 cases of hyperten-sion were divided into the simple hypertension group and the hypertensive renal group according to the creatinine clearance rate (Ccr)for observing the changes of the four indicators. Results The blood SUA,β2-MG,LP(a)and CRP levels in the hypertension group were significantly increased, which were higher than those in the normal control group, the differences had statistical signifi-cance(P <0.01);In the study by grouping according to the increase degree of blood pressure:the blood SUA,β2-MG,LP(a)and CRP levels in the three groups of the grade 1,2,3 hypertension were significantly increased, the statistical analysis showed the sig-nificant difference between groups(P <0.05);Compared with the simple hypertension group, the SUA,β2-MG,LP(a)and CRP lev-els were significantly increased compared with the hypertensive renal group, the difference showed the statistical significance(P <0.05).Conclusion Monitoring blood SUA,beta 2-MG,LP(a)and CRP levels in elderly patients with hypertension can effectively monitor the early renal function damage in the patients with senile hypertension, can find the renal lesions more rapidly and effec-tively and is conducive to early diagnosis and treatment in clinic.

Objective To explore the clinical effects of treating chronic pharyngitis with point application of Chinese medicinal bread.. Methods Retrospective analysis was adopted in the study. All patients were divided into a point application group (212 cases)and a dissolved medicine group (174 cases). The point application group was treated with point application of Chinese medicinal bread on Tiantu point for successive 4 therapeutic courses (one therapeutic course constitutes 10 days), while the dissolved medicine group was taken pharyngitis dissolved medicines orally for successive 6 therapeutic courses (one course constitutes 6 days). Results The total therapeutic effect of the point application group and the dissolved medicine group was 99.06% and 93.68% respectively. The difference between the two groups has statistical significance. Conclusion Point application of Chinese medicinal bread on Tiantu point is effective in treating chronic pharyngitis.

Objective To analyze the value of diffusion weighted imaging ( DWI) in assessing the effect of neoadjuvant chemotherapy of uterine cervix cancer .Methods Thirty one patients with LACC confirmed by pa-thology received conventional magnetic resonance imaging and DWI before and after neoadjuvant chemotherapy . The variation of DWI image and ADC was evaluated before and after chemotherapy .Results The correlation be-tween maximum diameter of the tumor before treatment (37.10 ±11.23) and pretreatment ADC value (0.83 ± 0.12)was not statistically significant(correlation coefficient r=-0.1746,P=0.3475);the correlation between the maximum diameter of the tumor(24.03 ±5.65)and ADC value(1.10 ±0.16)after treatment was not statisti-cally significant(correlation coefficient r=-0.2077,P=0 2621.);the degree of tumor size before and after the treatment was correlated with the degree of ADC increase (P<0.05);Effective chemotherapy group of 20 cases, invalid group of 11 cases,ADC value of effective treatment group after treatment (0.95 ±0.13) was significantly higher than ADC value before chemotherapy (0.80 ±0.12),the change was statistically significant (P<0.05), while the difference between former ADC value(0.88 ±0.10)and ADC value after treatment(0.95 ±0.13)of in-effective group therapy was not statistically significant (P>0.05).Conclusion DWI sequence may be useful for early prediction and evaluation of curative effect to neoadjuvant chemotherapy for uterine cervical cancer .

Objective To assess the efficacy of diffusion weighted imaging( DWI) with Magnetic Reso-nance Imaging to predict the T-staging in rectal cancer. Methods One hundred and seven cases confirmed by pathology of rectal adenocarcinoma patients were retrospectively analyzed.T-staging was determined by MRI and DWI combined with MRI.All the patients were underwent surgery within one week after MRI.We compared the results with the pathological T-staging after surgery, and compared the two methods of the preoperative T-stag-ing rectal cancer diagnosis accuracy. Results The accurate rates for T-staging of rectal cancer using MRI was 84.11%(90/107) .There was a correlation between the result of preoperative MRI and postoperative pathological T-staging(kappa=0.652,P<0.001);The accurate rates for T-staging of rectal cancer using combined MRI with DWI was 90.65%(97/107).There was a better correlation between the result of MRI with DWI and postop-erative pathological T-staging(kappa=0.732,P<0.001).Conclusion Compared with the conventional MRI sequences, the accuracy of MRI combined with DWI for diagnosis of T-staging in rectal carcinoma is higher. It can provide a more reasonable treatment.

Aim To explore the relationship between Snail and P-gp in breast cancer cell, and to reveal the effect of epithelial-mesenchymal transformation(EMT)on the multidrug-resistance(MDR)of breast cancer cell. Methods The eukaryotic expression vector pCDNA3.1-Snail was constructed, and then transfected into human breast cancer cell line MCF-7 to constuct MCF-7/Snail.Both cell lines MCF-7 and MCF-7/Snail were induced by adriamycin(ADM).Cell cytotoxicity assay and ADM efflux assay were used to measure the ability of drug resistance. The positive rate of P-gp of the two cell lines was detected by flow cytometry;the mRNA of MDR1 and Snail was evaluated by real-time PCR.Results MCF-7,the expression of MDR1 mRNA and Snail mRNA in MCF-7/Snail cell lines significantly increased;the expression of P-gp was increased too;the RR increased to 109.2;fluorescence intensity intracellular was reduced to 7.1.Conclusion After transfected the eukaryotic expression vector, the capacity of MCF-7/Snail strongly increases compared with that of MCF-7.

Objective To evaluate a self-designed in-situ fenestration system to preserve left subclavian artery during thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR).Methods From June 2016 to May 2017,aortic dilatation disease patients with insufficient proximal landing zone were treated by the selfdesigned in situ fenestration system to preserve the left subclavian artery during TEVAR.The patients were regularly followed-up with CTA.Results Totally 12 patients with an average age of 65 ± 11 years were enrolled.Among them,6 patients had thoracic aortic aneurysm and the other 6 suffered from aortic dissection. The mean operating time was 145 ± 36 minutes. The perioperative procedure success rate was 100%.One patient had intraoperative type Ⅰ endoleak,1 patient had type Ⅱ endoleak. One patient had suffered from stroke and 1 patient had mild paraplegia post-operatively.All patients were followed-up for a mean time of 6.5 ± 3.0 months. The type Ⅰ endoleak in 1 patient disappeared, type Ⅱ endoleak remained in one. There was no death during perioperative and in follow up period. Conclusions This self-designed in-situ fenestration system effectively and quickly restores the blood flow of the left subclavian artery during TEVAR.
