1.Related factors of postpartum depression in mothers of preterm infants in neonatal intensive care unit

Objective To assess the prevalence and related factors of postpartum depression in mothers of preterm infants in neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).Methods A total of 83 mothers who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria were investigated by using Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS) and the comprehensive questionnaire for mothers of preterm infants in NICU,and the analysis was performed on SPSS 13.0 using the Spearman correlation analysis and Logistic regression analysis.Results Among the 83 mothers,38 got the EPDS score of 10 and above,which accounted for 45.78% (38/83).The disease severity (OR =3.318,P < 0.01),the worry about disease prognosis (OR =4.348,P <0.01),the worry about mental development of the newborn (OR =5.420,P < 0.01) were the risk factors for postpartum depression in mothers of preterm infants in NICU.Conclusions It's different from the correlation to postpartum depression in mothers of full-term newborns,the correlation to postpartum depression in mothers of preterm infants in NICU are closely related to premature and admission in NICU.The mothers of preterm infants in NICU are the high-risk population for postpartum depression.Routine screening mechanism for mothers of preterm infants should be established for early detection and treatment of postpartum depression,and to promote maternal and infant health.
2.A study of post-traumatic stress disorder symptoms and its drug intervention among middle age acute leukemia patients

Objective To investigate and understand the characteristics and drug intervention of post-traumatic stress symptoms(PTSD) among middle age acute leukemia patients.Methods The Essen Trauma-Inventory (ETI) was administrated to 100 middle age acute leukemia patients who were admitted in our department and study the PSTD symptoms.Results The positive rate of PTSD is 21.21% in sample of the patients.Total PTSD symptoms scores were (18.10 ± 9.42),there is no significant different between the 3 main PTSD symptoms in these patients(P > 0.05).Type of leukemia,sexuality,levels of education and marital status are influencing factors of PSTD symptoms,there is significant different between the subgroups (P <0.01).Drug intervention can significantly relieve PTSD symptoms in these patients (Z =13.56,P < 0.01).Conclusions Middle age acute leukemia patients are generally found PTSD symptoms and with a high incidence rate of PTSD,so it needs timely diagnosis and treatment.
3.Effects of recasting on the composition and microstructure of Ni-Cr ceramic alloy

BACKGROUND: Whether ceramic alloy can be reused after casting depends on its chemical composition, microstructure, castability, as well as mechanical property. However, the effects of recasting on the composition and microstructure of Ni-Cr ceramic alloys are poorly understood. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effects of recasting on the composition and microstructure of Ni-Cr ceramic alloys. DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: In vitro materials observation. The experiment was performed at the Department of Prosthodontics, Affiliated Stomatological Hospital, Fujian Medical University, Instrumentation Analysis and Measurement Center, Fuzhou University, from June to August 2007. MATERIALS: The Ni-Cr ceramic alloys were recast 6 times in argon protection to obtain testing sample with diameter of 30.0 mm, thickness of 1.0 mm and side length of 10.0 mm, thickness of 1.0 mm, namely generation I VI. Simultaneously, the sample produced by initial alloy was called generation 0. METHODS: The original alloy and each generation square plates were analyzed by X-ray fluorescence spectrometry (XRF) for qualitative and semi-quantitative analysis. The microstructure and the phase structure of original alloy and each generation castings which had been polished by buffing machine were observed and analyzed by metallographic microscope and X-ray diffractometer (XRD). MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Contents of chemical composition, shrinkage cavity, porosity and inclusion, and distribution of XRD patterns. RESULTS: The results of XRF indicated that there were no significant difference on the main composition (Ni, Cr, Mo, Al, Be) among the Ni-Cr ceramic alloys multiple recast 0-6 times in argon protection and accorded with the demands. The metallographic structure of Ni-Cr ceramic alloys were dendritic eutectic structure, but the size of dendritic crystal grain in the casting coarsening, shrinkage cavity, porosity and inclusion gradually increased, with the increase of multiple recast times. The phase structure of Ni-Cr ceramic alloys were Ni-base solid solution (face-centered cubic lattice structure) and the chromium was widely distributed in the nickel base. There were neither significant difference of phase structure nor the new phase structure appeared among the Ni-Cr ceramic alloys multiple recast 0-6 times. CONCLUSION: There is no significant difference of main composition and phase structure between original alloy and each generation castings in argon protection. With the increase of recast times, the size of dendritic crystal coarsening, shrinkage cavity, porosity and inclusion gradually increased.
4.Physical properties of Au-Pt ceramic alloy after recasting.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the influences of recasting on the mechanical properties of Au-Pt ceramic alloy.
METHODSAu-Pt ceramic alloy samples were prepared and recast for 3 times without adding any new Au-Pt ceramic alloy. The tensile strength, 0.2% yield strength, percentage of elongation, flexural strength, flexural modulus and Vickers hardness of each specimen were measured.
RESULTSBeing cast for different times, the Au-Pt ceramic alloy showed no significant differences on their tensile strength, 0.2% yield strength, percentage of elongation, flexural strength or Vickers hardness. The flexural modulus of the Au-Pt alloys being cast for 2 or 3 times was significantly higher than that of the alloys being cast for 1 time (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION Au-Pt ceramic alloy can be recast for 3 times at least, without any decrease in the mechanical properties.

Objective:Autoimmune mechanisms, including cellular and humoral immune, are likely to participate in the pathogenesis of at least a subgroup of idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy(IDC), in which cellular immune-mediated one plays a more important role. Cytotoxic T lymphocyte associated antigen-4(CTLA-4) is the major negative regulatory factor of cellular immunity. This study was conducted to investigate the association of CTLA-4 gene promoter -318C/T polymorphism, exon 1 A/G polymorphism and 3′ untranslated region microsatellite polymorphism with susceptibility to IDC in Han Chinese.Methods:Polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphisms(PCR-RFLP) techniques were used to analyze the polymorphisms of CTLA-4 promoter -318, exon 1 A/G and 3′ untranslated region in the unrelated Han ethnic population in Heilongjiang Province(including 72 IDC patients and 100 normal controls). Serum sCTLA-4 was tested by ELISA. The relationship of CTLA-4 genotype and alleles frequencies with sCTLA-4 was evaluated by linear regression analysis.Results:Compared with controls, the frequencies of GG genotype(0.604 2 and 0.739 6, P=0.012) and the G allele(0.360 0 and 0.560 0, P=0.008) were significantly increased in patients with IDC. 6. Oxidative damage effects induced by CdTe quantum dots in mice

Objective:
To investigate Oxidative damage effects induced by CdTe Quantum Dots (QDs) in mice.
Methods:
40 ICR mice were randomly divided into 5 groups: one control group (normal saline) ; four CdTe QDs (exposed by intravenous injection of 0.2 ml of CdTe QDs at the concentration of 0、0.5、5.0、50.0 and 500.0 nmol/ml respectively) . After 24 h, the mice were decapitated and the blood was collected for serum biochemically indexes、hematology indexes, the activities of SOD、GSH-Px and the concentration of MDA were all detected.
Results:
The results showed in the four CdTe QDs exposure groups, the level of CRE、PLT and the concentration of MDA were all significantly lower than those of the control group (
