1.Application of combined detection of serum amylase and lipase in diagnosis of acute pancreatitis
International Journal of Laboratory Medicine 2015;(5):655-656
Objective To analyze the value of the detection mode of serum amylase (AMY)and lipase (LPS)in the diagnosis of acute pancreatitis. Methods 100 patients with acute pancreatitis and 100 individuals of healthy physical examination in our hospital from January 2012 to February 2014 were selected and detected serum AMY and LPS.The detection results, sensitivity, accuracy and specificity were analyzed. Results The serum AMY and LPS levels in the severe acute pancreatitis group and the mild acute pancreatitis group were higher than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05);the serum AMY and LPS levels in the severe acute pancreatitis group were higher than those in the mild acute pancreatitis group, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05);the accuracy, specificity and sensitivity of the combined detection of AMY and LPS was higher than that of the single index detection. Conclusion The joint detection of AMY and LPS can provide the important diagnostic basis for acute pancreatitis.

ObjectiveTo estimate the value of CT virtual colonoscopy (CTVC) and its image postprocessing techniques in the diagnosis of colorectal diseases.MethodsCTVC images of 84 patients with suspected colorectal diseases were retrospectively analyzed combined with multiple planar reconstruction (MPR),shaded surface display(SSD) and transparent image reconstruction. The location, size, shape and type of the lesions were analyzed and the images were compared with electronic colonoscopy and pathologic specimen finding.ResulltsFify-nine of 84 patients were diagnosed as coloretal cancer (23 cases with cancer in sigmoid colon,22 cases in rectum,11 cases in ascending colon and 3 cases in appendix),8 cases were porctopolypus,3 cases were multiple colonic diverticula,1 case was hemorrhoids,13 cases were normal. All the diagnosis was confirmed correct by operation pathology or clinic.ConclusionCTVC can show the shape and other features of colorectal diseases, and has important significance for clinical staging and surgical planning of colorectal cancer.

Objective To establish the reference intervals of neuron specific enolase (NSE) in tumor markers in cerebrospinal fluid .Methods According to National Committee for Clinical Laboratory Standards document C 28‐A2 ,120 samples were collected to establish reference intervals .Then ,the established intervals were evaluated according to China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment document CL38 :2012 .Results The biological reference interval of NSE in cerebrospinal fluid was 0-3 .14 ng/mL .There was no significant correlation between cerebrospinal fluid NSE level and age ,sex (P> 0 .05) .Conclusion Method used in this study could be ensured reliable ,accurate ,scientific and practical ,desirable for clinical requirement and with great poten‐tial for clinical application .
