Response gene to complement-32(RGC-32)as one of important response genes to complement,involves in many biological functions. Recent studies found that many factors could induce the expression of RGC-32 such as membrane attack complex,cortical hormones,growth factors, luteinizing hormone and transforming growth factor-β and so on. The expression products of RGC-32 play a key role in cell proliferation, differentiation, inflammation, tumor metastasis and other processes, thus to participate in the occurrence of many diseases' development processes. However, it has not be clarified in its exact cell biological function, subcellular localization, gene regulation mechanism. This article will make a brief review on gene structure, functions and roles in cell biology as well as the relationship between human diseases for RGC-32.

Objective To detect the serum thrombus precursor protein(TpP)level in the patients with diabetic microangiopathy and to investigate the relationship between the changes of TpP concentrations and the diabetic microangiopathy.Methods 136 ca-ses of diabetic microangiopathy in the endocrinology and neurology departments of our hospital from July to December 2013 were selected as the research subjects and 58 healthy individuals with physical examination were selected as the normal control group(NC group).The serum TpP,Fib,D-dimer concentrations and PT,APTT were measured.The SPSS14.0 software package was adopted to perform the statistical processing.Results (1).Serum TpP concentration in the diabetic microangiopathy group was significantly higher than that in the NC group with statistical difference(P <0.05).There was no statistical differences in Fib,D-dimer,PT and APTT between the two groups(P >0.05).(2).According to whether or not complicating cerebral infarction,the diabetic microan-giopathy group was divided into two subgroups.and diabetic not merged cerebral infarction group.Serum TpP concentrations in the complicating cerebral infarction subgroup was significantly higher than that in the non-complicating cerebral infarction subgroup with statistical difference(P <0.05 ).Conclusion The serum TpP concentration in the diabetic microangiopathy is significantly higher than that in the control group,which indicating that the patient is in a hypercoagulable status the risk of thrombosis.The TpP detection may contribute to early diagnosis and timely treatment of thrombotic diseases for these patients.

Objective To investigate the effect of liver function with portal vein occlusion (PVO) in various phases and the following restoration portal vein flow on intestinal mucosal cells. Methods Twenty-four healthy adults white Japanese rabbits were randomized into 1 control group and 2 experimental groups (according to portal vein clamping for 30 min and 45 min). Each experimental group's blood samples were collected from caval vein 1 h before operation, by the end of portal vein oc-cluded, 30 min, 60 rain after relief of portal vein blocking, then with restoration of portal vein flow for 2 h and rabbit guts were continuously cut to sections for HE, TUNEL staining and Bcl-2, Bax protein immunohistochemical staining to observe the injury of intestinal mucosa cell apoptosis and the relation-ship between the expressions of Bcl-2 and Bax. The levels of blood glutamate-pyruvate transaminase (ALT), glutamic oxalacetic transaminase (AST) were measured and compared. Results The levels of ALT, AST in the control group did not significantly change. Compared with control group, group B did not change significantly with PVO 30 rnin in liver enzyme and they were significantly increased after portal vein occlusion relief. The levels of ALT and AST were increased obviously at 45 min with PVO, then raised again. Down-regulation of Bcl-2 expression, up-regulation of Bax expression and the increased index of apoptotic cell were found in each experimental group. Conclusion It may be more safe with PVO for 30 min. But the following restoration portal vein flow will bring about ischemia-reperfusion injury that is mainly apoptosis in the small intestine. The index of apoptosis will be raised with time prolongation of PVO.

OBJECTIVE To compare the air sterilization effect of in operating room used by different air sterilization methods.METHODS Four types sterilization methods were used to operating room air.Then sampling monitoring and evaluation were done.RESULTS The qualification rate of air sterilization were 79.17%,62.79%,79.63%,97.22% in peroxyacetic acid fumigating,simple ultraviolet radiation,peroxyacetic acid fumigating combined with simple ultraviolet radiation,ultraviolet light circulation wind air sterilization machine,respectively.The sterilization effect of ultraviolet light circulation wind was better than the others.CONCLUSIONS Ultraviolet light circulation wind air sterilization machine can be used to air sterilization in non-laminar air flow purify operating room.

[Objective] To discuss the cure effect of acupoints application combined with TCM decoctions and auricular point buried-bean on pernicious vomiting. [Method] Choose 65 such cases from April 2011 to March 2012 as control group and another 65 from Nov. 2011 to Sep. 2013 as treatment group. The control one take oral y TCM decoction combined with auricular point buried-bean, the treatment one added with TCM acupoints applica-tion;observe the result after 1 course. [Result] In treatment group, 46 cases were cured, 18 better, 1 was not cured, the total effective rate 98.5%;in con-trol one, they were respectively 40,11,14 and 78.4%; the comparison of them had difference of statistical meaning.[Conclusion] The acupoint application combined with TCM decoction and auricular point buried-bean has obvious cure effect on pernicious vomiting.

OBJECTIVE: To compare the effects of manipulation treatment and transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) on patients with cervicogenic headache. METHODS: Seventy patients with cervicogenic headache were randomly allocated to receive manipulation treatment and TENS treatment, which were given every other day respectively for total 40 days. The headache degree (numeric rating scale, NRS), frequency, lasting time and the range of motion (ROM) of the cervical spine 2 weeks before treatment and 4 weeks after treatment, were compared. RESULTS: Before treatment, there were no significant differences in the headache NRS scores , frequency, lasting time and the ROM scores between the two groups (P>0.05). After treatment, the headache NRS score, frequency, lasting time in the manipulation group decreased significantly (P<0.01), while in the TENS group just the headache NRS score decreased significantly (P<0.05). The ROM scores in both groups showed no significant changes (P>0.05). The response rate of manipulation treatment is 94.5%, significantly higher than 64.5% of TENS treatment (P<0.05). CONCLUSION: The manipulation treatment is an effective method for patients with cervicogenic headache.

Objective:To establish an LC-MS/MS method for the simultaneous determination of acetaminophen and its five metabolites in mice plasma,and investigate the metabolism of acetaminophen by using the method.Methods:Para aminobenzoic acid was used as the internal standard.The plasma samples were precipitated by methanol,and then separated on a C18 column with the mobile phase of methanol and 5 mmol·L-1 ammonium acetate buffer solution containing 0.1% formic acid (55∶45).The flow rate was 0.5 ml·min-1,and the column temperature was 25℃.An electrospray ionization source was applied and operated in a positive ion mode using MRM:APAP,-,m/z 152.0→110.0;APAP-cys,-,m/z 271.2→140.1;APAP-glut,-,m/z 457.0→328.0;APAP-NAC,-,m/z 313.4 →208.0;APAP-sulf,-,m/z 232.4→152.1;APAP-gluc,-,m/z 328.2→152.1;IS,-,m/z 138.2→120.0.Results:The method exhibited good linearity over the concentration range of 0.2-10 μg·ml-1for APAP,1.0-20 μg·ml-1 for APAP-gluc,1.0-20 μg·ml-1 for APAP-sulf,1.0-20 μg·ml-1 for APAP-glut,0.4-15 μg·ml-1 for APAP-NAC and 0.2-10 μg·ml-1 for APAP-cys (r≥0.990 0).The inter-day accuracy and precision of acetaminophen and its five metabolites were all below 15%.The average recovery was between 85% and 115%,and RSDs were all below 15%.Conclusion:The LC-MS/MS method is proved to be quick,sensitive and accurate,and suitable for the determination of acetaminophen and its five metabolites in mice plasma.

BACKGROUND: At present, there are many drugs and therapeutic methods for dementia at home and abroad. Both xingding and piracetam are the kind of improver for circulatory obstruction and protector for nerve cells and can slow down the functional decline of brain tissue and provide improvement for cognitive deficit.OBJECTIVE: To observe the improvement of allied application of xingding and piracetam on cognitive function in treatment of vascular dementia.DESIGNS: Case-controlled study based on patients.SETTING: Neurological Department in Affiliated Hospital of Henan University. PARTICIPANTS: Totally 91 cases of vascular dementia hospitalized in Neurological Department of First Affiliated Hospital of Henan University from October 2000 to March 2002, which were randomized into treatment group of 48 cases and the control of 43 cases.INTERVENTIONS: In treatment group, xingding injection of 20 mL and piracetam of 8 g were administrated and 50 g/L glucose injection 250 mL was added respectively for intravenous injection, once daily and 14 days made one session. In the control, piracetam of 8 g was prescribed with 50 g/L glucose injection 250 mL added for intravenous injection, once daily and 14 days made one session. There was no any difference in other medication treatment. One month later after treatment of two groups, he patients were re-examined with mini-mental state examination(MMSE) and Hasegawa dementia scale(HDS) was used to assess the cogitative improvement and neurological defect scale(NDF) was used to analysis the improvement of neurological functional symptoms.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: ① Scores of MMSE, HDS and NDF in two groups. ② Analysis on therapeutic effects.RESULTS: Totally 91 cases entered the analysis on the results. There was no significant difference in MMSE and HDS before treatment in two groups. In treatment group, after treatment, MMSE and HDS scores were (23.26±5.12) and(2.78±3.46) respectively, indicating significant difference(t=4.79, 15.44, P＜0.01) compared with the control(19.14 ±3.21)and(15.21±2.29) . NDF score was 13.68±7.83 after treatment and the significant difference was presented compared with the control(17.33 ±8.81) . The total effective rate(total remarkable rate + progression) was 92% in the treatment group and was 56% in the control. By the comparison between two groups, the difference was significant(χ2= 15.48, P＜0.01).CONCLUSION: After treatment, MMSE score in treatment group was higher than that in the control and HDS score was lower than that in the control, explaining that xingding allied piracetam significantly improves cogitative function in the treatment of vascular dementia.
