Objectives: To explore the purpose, design and application of a hospital website. Methods: A website of the hospital is setup on the platform of windows 2000 Advanced Server by using such tools as Dream Weaver 4.0/Flash 5.0/Visual Interdev 6.0 and MS SQL 2000 Database. Results: Medical resources are shared worldwide on the internet by presenting on the website the image and special features of the hospital and related services offered by the hospital, advertising the hospital's new technology and latest development, and offering such online services as a dynamic release of the latest news about medical treatment and scientific research, online medical consultation, distant diagnosis, patient doctor interactive platform, and academic research and exchange platform. As a result, a new system of hospital service is established, the overall level of medical treatment enhanced, and a broader and more in depth medical research accelerated. Conclusions: A website is indispensable to a hospital.

Objective: Scanning the latent epileptic under the technology of independed component analysis(ICA),finding the patients and intervening in course of diseases earlier, reducing the degree of implicating and the ratio of disability or dead. Methods:Establishing ICA mathematic model,Sampling 16 channels standard EEG using the instrument developed by ourself, and processing the data using Fast ICA algorithm. Results:Separating, recognizing epileptic waveform, and diagnosing epilepsy by the results, and reversed transforming the epileptic waveform into 16 channels EEG space and locating the epileptic focus using some locating software. Conclusion:Scanning epilepsy under ICA,not only reducing signals recognizing workload, but also increasing its efficiency, and makes it possibe to scan epilepsy;and the accuracy and efficiency of source location could be increased greatly by inverse ICA.

Objective: To compare the histopathological changes after neo-adjuvant radiotherapy and to elucidate the mechanism of radiotherapy in rectal cancer. Methods: 80 patients with rectal cancer in pTNM stage Ⅱ or Ⅲ were enrolled between April 2000 and December 2002.They were randomly assigned to surgery alone or preoperative neo-adjuvant radiotherapy. The conventional radiotherapy scheme was followed: 40 Gy in 2.0 Gy fractions. The treatment last 4 weeks and it is usually followed by an interval of 1-2 weeks before the operation.Pathological changes including necrosis of tumor and changes of matrix and vessels were graded. Results: Significant tumor regression(RCRG 1) was seen in 14 cases(35 percent) after radiotherapy, while partially tumor regression(RCRG 2) was seen in 18 cases(45 percent).Significant necrosis was observed in 72.5 percent of cases after preoperative radiotherapy, most foci of adenocarcinoma were replaced by fibrosis in 80 percent of cases, and intimal thickening in most of the vessels were seen in 77.5 percent of cases. The frequency of these pathological changes after radiotherapy was significantly more than control group. Conclusion: Necrosis, fibrosis and thickening of vascular intima in the rectal cancer tissue after radiotherapy is more frequent than those without radiotherapy. It may be the potential reason for increased resection rate and sphincter-saving after radiotherapy.

Chinese Journal of School Health 2024;45(4):565-569
Objective:
To investigate the correlation between campus bullying and suicidal tendency symptoms comorbidity with addictive behavior among middle and high school students in Hainan Province, so as to provide a theoretical basis for health education and behavioral intervention in schools.
Methods:
In July 2023, an anonymous questionnaire survey was conducted among 6 654 middle and high school students in Hainan Province, selected by probability proportional sampling and stratified cluster random sampling method. Campus bullying, suicidal tendency and addictive behavior were determined according to the relevant items in the questionnaire on health related behaviors of Chinese students health status and influencing factors questionnaire, and self designed questionnaire. The co occurrence of campus bullying and suicidal tendency among students was analyzed. The binary Logistic regression method was used to analyze the correlation between the co occurrence of campus bullying and suicidal tendency and the addictive behavior of middle school students.
Results:
The report rate of campus bullying among middle and high school students in Hainan Province was 28.48%, the suicidal tendency was 15.25%, and the co occurrence of campus bullying and suicidal tendency was 8.00%. The results of Logistic regression analysis showed that middle school students and left behind students were prone to campus bullying and suicide tendency ( OR =1.55, 1.52, P <0.05), while Internet addiction, gambling and current smoking showed significant positive correlation with comorbidity of campus bullying and suicide tendency ( OR =3.14, 2.18, 2.07, P < 0.05 ).
Conclusions
Middle and high school students with addictive behavior have a higher possibility of comorbidity of campus bullying and suicidal tendency. The comprehensive intervention of addictive behavior can reduce the incidence of co occurrence of campus bullying and suicidal tendency, so as to improve health and wellbeing of middle school students.

Chinese Journal of Biotechnology 2018;34(5):803-811
As a platform chemical, acetoin has a great potential of application in medicine and food industries. In order to improve the efficiency of acetoin production, Bacillus amyloliquefaciens was treated by atmospheric and room temperature plasma and gamma rays. Two-round screening was adopted for obtaining positive mutants, and the best mutant B. amyloliquefaciens H-5 produced acetoin up to 68.2 g/L in shake flask. Then, culture conditions were optimized in 5-L fermentor to enhance acetoin production. Finally, 85.2 g/L acetoin was produced by B. amyloliquefaciens H-5, which was increased by 26.8% compared with that of the original strain B. amyloliquefaciens FMME088. These results indicated that the high-producing strain can be obtained efficiently by compound mutagenesis, which has a promising prospect for commercial scale process.

Succinic acid is an important C4 platform chemical that is widely used in food, chemical, medicine sectors. The bottleneck of fermentative production of succinic acid by engineered Escherichia coli is the imbalance of intracellular cofactors, which often leads to accumulation of by-products, lower yield and low productivity. Stoichiometric analysis indicated that an efficient production of succinic acid by E. coli FMME-N-26 under micro-aeration conditions might be achieved when the TCA cycle provides enough ATP and NADH for the r-TCA pathway. In order to promote succinic acid production, a serial of metabolic engineering strategies include reducing ATP consumption, strengthening ATP synthesis, blocking NADH competitive pathway and constructing NADH complementary pathway were developed. As result, an engineered E. coli FW-17 capable of producing 139.52 g/L succinic acid and 1.40 g/L acetic acid in 5 L fermenter, which were 17.81% higher and 67.59% lower than that of the control strain, was developed. Further scale-up experiments were carried out in a 1 000 L fermenter, and the titer of succinic acid and acetic acid were 140.2 g/L and 1.38 g/L, respectively.
