Radiotherapy is one of the most important treatments for glioma; however its therapeutic effect is unsatisfying. Timing, accurate target outlining, a total dose higher than 60Gy, conformal modulating radiotherapy and combined chemotherapy and targeted therapy are important factors in improving the outcome of radiotherapy.

ObjectiveTo explore the risk factors of pulmonary complications in children with mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia.MethodsClinincal data of 341 children with mycoplasma pneumonia were retrospectively analyzed.Children under 2 months were divided into study group and control group according to X-ray or lung CT,the study group of children left lung sequelae in children and the control group without sequelae.Using statistical analysis methods to study the children age,sex,hot process,symptoms,signs,lung lesions,lesion type,white blood cells,erythrocyte sedimentation rate,C-reactive protein,antibiotics,gamma globulin,glucocorticoid application.ResultsAt electasis 30 cases,3 cases of bronchiectasis,bronchiolitis obliterans in 1 case.Logistic regression analysis showed that children fever ＞ 10d,pleural effusion,lesion in the right upper lung,X-ray showed a large shadow,pulmonary complications in children with pulmonary high risk of complications,including chest plot sequelae in children with lung fluid was a strong risk factor( P ＜ 0.01,OR =7.684).ConclusionChildren of fever ＞ 10d,pleural effusion,lesion in the right upper lung,X-ray showed a large shadow,pulmonary complications in children with pulmonary high risk of complications,clinical treatment should be noted.

Objective:To investigate the effect of arterial baroreflex(ABR)on survival rate of rats with cecal ligation and puncture(CLP)-induced sepsis.Methods:Male Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into 2 groups:sham-operated rats(n=22)and sinoaortic denervated(SAD)rats(n=22).Four weeks after SAD rats were subjected to CLP-induced sepsis,the blood pressure and heart period(HP)were monitored for 12 hours in conscious state and the survival of rats was observed.Results:Both the diastolic and systolic blood pressue gradually decreased after CLP;the HP shortened first and then drastically prolonged until the death of rats.At 12 h after CLP the survival rate of SAD rats was lower than that of the sham-operated rats(59% vs 86%).Significant differences were found between the Kaplan-Meier survival curves of the rats in 2 groups(P

This study was aimed to investigate the effects of resveratrol on plasma glucose and the oxidative stress ability in gestational diabetic rats. A total of 100 SD rats with gestation for 5 days were intraperitoneally injected with streptozotocin (STZ, 35 mg?kg-1) to prepare gestational diabetic rat model. Rats were randomly divided into 6 groups, which were the normal gestation group, gestational diabetic model group, resveratrol (30, 60, 120 and 240 mg?kg-1) treatment groups, with 20 rats in each group. A total of 20 rats with gestation for 5 days were selected as the normal gestation control group and another 20 rats with no gestation were selected as the normal control group. The levels of plasma glucose and insulin were determined on 0, 7, 14 days after experiment. Two weeks later, the contents of malondialdehyde (MDA) and the activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) and catalase (CAT) in serum were determined. The results showed that compared with the normal control group, there were no significant difference on the levels of plasma glucose and insulin, the content of MDA, and the activities of SOD, GSH-Px and CAT of the normal gestation control group (P > 0.05). Compared with the gestational diabetic model group, the content of MDA in serum of the resveratrol (30, 60, 120 and 240 mg?kg-1) treatment groups were significantly decreased (P < 0.05,P < 0.01); the level of plasma glucose were significantly decreased and the level of insulin was significantly increased of the resveratrol (120 and 240 mg?kg-1) treatment groups (P < 0.05,P < 0.01); the activities of SOD, GSH-Px and CAT were also significantly increased (P < 0.05, P < 0.01). It was concluded that resveratrol had dose-dependent effect on reducing plasma glucose and improving antioxidant ability in gestational diabetic rats, which perhaps related to its effects on raising the level of insulin and improving the activity of antioxidant enzymes.

Objective To evaluate the prognostic value of the expression of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and nm23 in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). Methods From 2003 to 2006, 127 NPC patients who had undergone biopsy before radiotherapy were reviewed retrospectively. All patients received intensity-modulated radiotherapy using 6 MV X-rays combined with platinum-based chemotherapy. Immunohistochemistry SP method was adopted to detect the expression of EGFR and nm23 in NPC biopsy specimens . The relationship between the expression of EGFR and nm23 and survival was analyzed. Results The positive rate of EGFR and nm23 were 80.3% and 47. 2% respectively. The nm23expression was correlated with distant metastasis (χ2=7.03, P = 0. 008 ). The 5-year estimated local control, over-all survival (OS) and disease-free survival (DFS) were 58.3% ,53.5% and 46. 5%. Patients with negative expression of EGFR had a significantly better 5-year OS, DFS (χ2=8.23, P=0.004;χ2=5.25,P=0.022) than those with positive expression. Patients with positive expression of nm23 had a significantly higher 5-year OS (χ2=15.68, P = 0. 000) and DFS (χ2=14. 85, P = 0. 000) than those with negative expression. The clinical stage, EGFR and nm23 expression were independent prognostic factors shown by Cox proportional hazard model (χ2=23.03, 18.33, 39.92, P= 0.000, 0.000, 0.000).Conclusions The EFGR and nm23 expression were correlated with the prognosis in NPC patients.

Objective To explore effects of Naikan cognitive therapy on improving clinical symptoms in patients with convalescent schizophrenia. Methods The 69 convalescent schizophrenic patients with convalescent clinical state were consecutively recruited. All the patients were divided into Naikan cognitive therapy ( NCT) group an control group at random and were pretreated with antipsychotic agent therapy. In NCT group,the patients received NCT for successive 7 days. In control group,the patients only received antipsychotic agent therapy. Pre-and post-treatment positive and negative syndrome scale( PANSS) , Nurses'observation scale for inpatient evaluation (NOSIE) were administered to all subjects. Results ① A significant decrease occurred in PANSS total score, negative symptom score, positive symptom score, compound scale score, general psychopathology score, reaction retardation score and paranoid score in NCT group ( t = 2. 672～7. 370, P < 0. 05). In the post-treatment, PANSS total score, negative symptom score, positive symptom score, compound scale score, reaction retardation score and thought disorder score were significantly lower in NCT group than those in control group ( t ' = 2. 696, P = 0. 009; t = 5. 186, P=0.000; t = 3.757, P = 0.001; t = 2.634,P = 0.011; t ' =2.376, P = 0.021). ②A significant decrease occurred in NOSIE total negative score( 10.43 ± 9. 24 vs 13. 87 ± 8. 03, t = 3. 463 , P = 0. 002) , irritation score(3. 13 ±0.43 vs8.53 ±4.98, t = 6. 139, P=0.000) and retardation score(1.07 ± 1.64 vs 2. 20 ±2.85, t = 2.067, P = 0.048) in NCT group. Conclusion NCT can possibly improve part clinical symptoms of patients with convalescent schizophrenia to a certain extent,especially negative symptom,but need to further prove the effect of NaiKan cognitive therapy.

Objective To evaluate the treatment outcomes and toxicities of intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) combined with chemotherapy for children and adolescents with nasopharyngeal carcinoma.Methods Forty-three nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients less than 19 years old were recruited between April 2010 and April 2016.All patients were treated with IMRT (total dose 61.2-76 Gy) combined with cisplatin based chemotherapy.The Kaplan-Meier test was used to calculate overall survival (OS) and progression-free survival (PFS).The patient's clinical characteristics,side effects and longterm effects of treatment were retrospectively analyzed.Results Among 43 patients,there were 29 (67.4％) male and 14 (32.6％) female,and the median age was 14 years old (range,6-18 years).According to AJCC 7thstaging system,2 patients were in stage Ⅱ,26 in stage Ⅲ,7 in stage ⅣA and 8 in stage Ⅳ B.All patients were confirmed as non-keratinizing carcinoma.The positive rates of EB virus VCAIgA was 53.8％ (7/13),and Rta-IgG was 60.0％ (6/10) before treatment.The median radiation dose was 70 Gy (range,61.2-76 Gy) to the primary tumor.Thirty-three (76.7％) patients received neoadjuvant chemotherapy,with 20 (46.5％) and 36 (83.7％) patients treated by concurrent and adjuvant chemotherapy,respectively.With a median follow-up of 24 months (range,3-76 months),the 5-year OS and PFS ratios were 75.3％ and 64.7％,respectively.There were 5 patients (11.6％) occurred to bone metastasis within 2 years after treatment.Hypothyroidism was reported in 47.4％ (9/19) patients after IMRT.Conclusions Nasopharyngeal carcinoma in childhood and adolescence is mostly locally advanced diseases with poor differentiation.IMRT combined with chemotherapy produce a well treatment outcome with good tolerance in children and adolescents patients.The most common treatment failure bone metastasis.Radiation-induced hypothyroidism is common.
