Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2011;10(9):1139-1141
Psychological adjustment is helpful in students' professional preparation.Psychological adjustment is needed much more in medical education because of the professional particularity.According to the questionnaires of Shantou University Medical College, the situation of the medical students' psychological adjustment was summarized:They had professional identity but thought doctors' social status was not as good as before; Most worried about the employment and expressed their opinion of overcoming this warry by working hard.So medical colleges should train students' correct professional attitudes, make a full strategy to improve their psychological adjustment, and at the same time make use of the school organization by improving teachers' quality.
2.Strengthen teachers' development appraisal help to improve quality of medical education
Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2012;11(5):469-471
Development appraisal of teachers is different from summative appraisal. It pays attention to teachers' initiative while improving the quality of education. It fits to the improvement of students' learning effect in some aspects, such as people-centered concept, reflective thinking, improving teaching effect and making good atmosphere and so on.We should increase research in and propaganda for development appraisal of teachers, including making theoretical innovation, updating and enriching contents, being scientific and operable in form, establishing and consummating the mechanism.
3.Emphasis on medical humanism in the course of medical students' career planning
Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2013;(7):745-747
Course of Medical Students' Career Planning can help medical students to establish occupation view and make occupation career planning better. Medical humanism should be demonstrated during the whole process of medical education. Medical humanism meets the moral requirements for the doctor occupation and the development of medical science should be based on it. Therefore , the design of this course should emphasize on the principles of medical humanism and adopt appropriate teaching methods and means to ensure the deep involvement of students in the curriculum and the teaching effect.

Objective To retrospectively analyze the clinical effect of 131 I in the treatment of hyperthyroid heart disease. Methods 269 cases who received nuclear medicine 131 I therapy for hyperthyroid heart disease were selected.Clinical laboratory and related examinations, including determination of serum thyroid hormones and antibod-ies (FT3 ,FT4 ,TSH,TRAb,TGAb and TPOAb),biochemical indicators, analysis of blood, electrocardiogram, thyroid ultrasonography, thyroid 131 I uptake rate determination, static imaging and color Doppler ultrasound of the heart were condutced. After diagnosis clear integrated touch technique, thyroid color Super and the thyroid static imaging deter-mine thyroid weight.131 I dose by following formula calculation determine:131 I dose =(each grams thyroid plans vol-ume)×thyroid weight (g)/thyroid 24h or highest 131 I rate (%),each grams thyroid plans volume for 2.96-4.44MBq,calculation 131 I dose, application SPSS 17.0 statistics software for statistics, used paired t test to analyze serum hormone levels of FT3 ,FT4 ,sTSH before treatment,3,6 and 12 months after treatment. Results After 131 I treatment 3,6,12 months, serum FT3 ,FT4 ,sTSH levels significantly declined compared with before treatment (t =36.03,23.88,17.81,45.01,24.85,13.95,49.97,25.66,10.28,all P <0.01).Of 269 patients received 131 I treat-ment,hyperthyroidism cured in 220 cases (81.8%),improved in 42 cases (15.6%),invalid in 7 cases (2.6%);hyperthyroidism heart recovered in 226 cases (84.0%),effective rate was 97.0%(261 /269).Conclusion The treatment of hyperthyroid heart disease as soon as possible is the key to control hyperthyroid, reduced thyroid hormone in the peripheral circulation,131I can be fast and effective treatment of hyperthyroidism, hyperthyroid abnormal ECG and cardiac anomalies symptom relief for time is the ideal treatment of hyperthyroid heart disease recovery as soon as possible, with normal thyroid function, hyperthyroid can return to normal or part of normal.

Objective: To investigate the possible mechanism of neuroprotection produced by taurine supplement on brain in young rats. Methods: In vitro, taurine treatment or co-treatment with sodium selenite that produced significant neuronal apoptosis was used in cultured cortical neurons to examine the neuroprotection effect using MTT assay and DNA fragmentation electrophoresis. In vivo, female weanling Sprague Dawley rats were divided into four groups, eight rats per group. The treated groups were fed on diets with different contents of taurine respectively, and the control group was fed on taurine unsupplemented diets. The experiment lasted five weeks. Results: Taurine significantly increased neuronal survival in dose-dependent manner. The typical DNA ladder pattern could be prevented by taurine. Taurine could elevate brain wet weight, and significantly increased the level of taurine, protein and AChE in brain. Conclusion: It is proposed that the neuroprotection effect of taurine could be achieved by modulating expression of related genes and blocking neuronal apoptosis.

AIM:To establish the chromatographic fingerprint of Carthamus Tinctorius L.by high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC).METHODS:The chromatographic fingerprint of Carthamus Tinctorius L.was established by HPLC with a RP-C_ 18 column,acetonitrile-water(0.5 phosphoric acid)gradient elution,a DAD diode array detector at 275 nm and the flow rate of 1.0 mL/min,column temperature of 25 ℃。 RESULTS:34 co-peaks of Carthamus Tiuctorius L.were gained from 10 producing provinces. Its basic features were rough consistent each other.Hydrosafflor yellow A,was selected as marker, among samples the content of Xinjiang was the highest in the all samples.CONCLUSION:This method provides useful information for identification of traditional Chinese medicines, the fingerprints of samples of Carthamus Tinctorius L.can be used to control the quality combined with content determination.

Objective To investigate the current situation of medical students' individual career management and its educational status. Methods Self-made questionnaire was used to investigate the present situation of individual career management and education of medical students in a medical college in November 2016.SPSS 20.0 was used for analyzing descriptive statistical analysis,t test and rank test in questionnaire data. From April to May 2017,30 students were randomly selected for interviews to explore the current situation of medical students' individual career management.Result 900 questionnaires were issued and 816 valid questionnaires were collected, and the recovery rate was 90.67%.Whether medical students accept the relevant education had significant difference in their career management ability (P< 0.05),30.15% of the students who received the relevant education (246) had a higher total score of their own career management than those who had not received, which was reflected in social work environment cognition level, participation in extracurricular activities, consideration of graduation and stage goals setting. It is learned from the interview that most medical students lack clear self-awareness and professional goals are vague, and they fail to form a good personal career management atmosphere. Conclusion Individual career management education promotes the cognitive level of social work environment of medical students and then develops their self-awareness.At the same time,it urges medical students to participate in extracurricular activities,to consider the whereabouts after graduation,to set phased goals, and to carry out targeted self-improvement.The comprehensive development of self-cognition and self-improvement finally make the medical students' individual career management ability continuously improved.

"5+3" integrated training program is a new training model to cultivate doctors under the background of preclinical teaching and clinical training integration. Based on practice in Shantou University Medical College, the program design current progress and solution to the problem were elaborated. It adheres to principles of overall optimization and orienting to clinic, and to ensure the smooth implementation of the training model. Which will provide important reference for the reform of long-term medical training program in higher medical colleges and universities.
