Objective To evaluate expression of E-cadherin and COX-2 in placentas of hypertensive disorder complieating pregnancy,and study the relationship between them.Method The E-cadherin and COX-2 of twenty-one cases gestational hypertension,along with 17 cases preeclampsia,and 20 cases normal pregnancy placentas were investigated by immunohistochemistry.Results The expression of E-cadherin was significantly higher and the expression of COX-2 was lower in preeclampsia cases than that in normal pregnancy(P＜0.01).The expression of E-cadherin negatively correlated with the expression of COX-2 (r=-0.371.P＜0.05).Conclusions The alteration of E-cadheria and COX-2 in placentas are correlated with preeelampsia.The up-reguhted expression of E-cadherin and down-regulated expression of COX-2 maybe regulated by the same factor.

Objective To summarize the characteristics of epidemiology,clinic and radiography of mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia(MPP) in children.Methods Two hundred and one MPP patients were selected as our subjects who hospitalized in Kailuan General Hospital Affiliated to Hebei United University from Jan.to Dec.2013.All clinical data were recorded.Results Of 412 children with pneumonia,201 children were developed MPP(48.97％).There was significant difference among different age groups regarding of MPP incidence rate(x2 =62.04,P ＜ 0.05),and the highest incidence was in school-age group(71.59％).There was significant difference among the different month,and the MPP cases were more occurred at January,July,September,October and November.The main clinical manifestations were cough (201cases,100％),fever(136 cases,67.66％),moist rales (168 cases,83.58％),breathing (58 casses,28.86％).And parts of children (23.38％) were complicated with extra pulmonary symptoms.The blood WBC of most MPP patients were without obvious increase and blood WBC of 136 cases(67.66％) was less than 10 × 109/L.The cases with hsCRP (＜ 5 mg/L or-10 mg/L) accounted for 36.32％ or 22.39％.Imaging examination results showed that 64 cases were with bronchovascular shadow,73 cases with spot and schistic shadow,64 cases with lobar pneumonia and 3 cases with pleural effusion.Conclusion Clinicians sholud make the early diagnosis and treatment of MPP based on epidemiology,clinical and image comprehensive characteristics of MPP.

Objective To study direct economic loss of healthcare-associated infection (HAI)in hospitalized children with acute respiratory infection (ARI),and the influence in satisfaction degree of children’relatives.Methods Clinical data of 1 039 children with ARI in a pediatrics ward between April 1,2012 to March 31,2013 were analyzed retrospective-ly.50 patients with HAI were in case group and 50 patients without HAI were in control group.The difference in medical cost and the degree of satisfaction of children’s relatives were compared between two groups.Results Medical cost of pa-tients in case group was significantly higher than control group([P 25 - P 75 :￥3 095.54 - ￥4 779.48]vs [P 25 -P 75 :￥1 744.14-￥2 382.07],Z =5.89,P <0.01).The expenses in medicine,laboratory examination,diagnosis and treatment,and nursing in case group were all higher than control group,there were significant differences between two groups(all P <0.01 );Hospitalization day of case group was significantly longer than control group ([P 25 -P 75 :9 d-15 d]vs[P 25 -P 75 :6 d-8 d],Z =5.79,P <0.01 ).Satisfaction degree of patients’relatives in case group was significantly lower than control group (Z =8.22,P <0.01).Conclusion HAI occurred in ARI children can increase medical cost,prolong length of hospital stay and decrease satisfaction degree of patients’relatives.

Objective: Our aim was to study the role of telomerase activation in the course of cervical carcinogenesis and progression.Methods:Telomeric repeat amplification protocol(TRAP) assay was used to measure telomerase activity in tissue samples with various cervical conditions:40 with cervical cancer, 50 with cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(CIN), 20 with normal cervice. Results:The positive rate of telomerase activity was 95.0%,44.0%, and 10.0% in cervical cancer, CIN, and normal cervices, respectively, which was significantly higher in cervical cancer than that in CIN and normal cervices, so was that in CIN than that in normal cervices (P<0.01) . The positive rate was 22.2%, 37.5%, and 75.0% in CINⅠ,Ⅱ, and Ⅲ, respectively, which was significantly higher in CINⅢ than that in CIN Ⅱand CINⅠ (P<0.01).Conclusion:Telomerase activation may relate to cervical carcinogenesis, which correlates well with the grade of cervical lesions.

Objective ToMeasureofleftventricularregionalsystolicfunctioninpatientswithcirrhosisby2DGSTItechnology.To exploretheclinicalvalueofleftventricularsystolicfunctionindifferentChildGPughgradedlivercirrhosispatientsanditscorrelation withthedegreeoflivercirrhosis.Methods Toselecting60casesoflivercirrhosispatientsincirrhosisgroup.AccordingtotheChildGPugh classification,thepatientsinA,BandCgradesweredividedintoA,BandCgroups.Toselecting30outpatientswithphysicalexaminations, whoseageandgendermatchedwithcirrhosispatientsatthesameperiodasnormal/controlgroup.Measuredtheconventionalindexes, andanalysedtwoGdimensionaldynamicimagesoftwoGchamber,threeGchamber,fourGchamberviewofapical.Thedifferencesinstrain indexandrelatedparametersbetweenthecirrhosisgroupsandthenormalcontrolgroupwerecompared.Results (1)Betweenliver cirrhosisgroupandcontrolgroup,therewerestatisticaldifferencesinheartrate,interventricularseptumthicknessandleftventricular enddiastolicvolume(P＜0.05).leftventricularejectionfraction wassignificantlylowerintheChildCgroupthanintheChild A groupandtheChildBgroup(P＜0.05),andwassignificantlyhigherintheChildBgroupthanthecontrolgroup(P＜0.05).Withthe increaseofChildGPughscoreinlivercirrhosisgroup,interventricularseptumthickness,leftatrialanteroposteriordiameter,leftventricular enddiastolicdiameterandleftventricularenddiastolicvolumeweregraduallyincreasing.Therewerestatisticallysignificantdifferences betweensomegroups(P＜0.05);(2)Longitudinalsystolicpeakstrainofeachsegmentofleftventricularwallwasgenerallylowerin thelivercirrhosisgroupthanthecontrolgroup,andthestrainin bothgroupsshowedincreasingtrendfromthebasaltotheapical segments.There werestatisticallysignificantdifferences between partialsegment(P＜0.05);(3)WiththeincreaseofChildGPugh scoreincirrhosisgroup,longitudinalsystolicpeakstrainofthe leftventricularwallgraduallydecreased.ChildCgroupcomparedwithothergroups,theleftventricularlongitudinalstrainaverage valuedifferencewasstatisticallysignificant(P＜0.05).Therewerestatisticallysignificantdifferencesinpartialsegmentbetweenthe othergroups(P＜0.05).Conclusion (1)2DGSTItechnologycanbesensitiveandreliabletodetectsubGclinicalmyocardialregional systolicdysfunctioninpatientswithcirrhosis;(2)LeftventricularsystolicfunctionisnegativelycorrelatedwithChildGPughgradein patientswithlivercirrhosis.

Objective To investigate the clinical value of assessment of the left ventricular function in pa-tients with post-hepatitis b cirrhosis using Tei index and its related parameters measured by Tissue Dopple Imaging. Methods Ninety-seven subjects were enrolled,with 43 ones in the normal control group,and 54 ones in the post-hepatitis b cirrhosis group. According to the Child-Pugh grading standard,patients in the post-hepatitis b cirrhosis group were divided into grade Child A(24 cases),grade Child B(15 cases)and grade Child c(15 cases). Color ul-trasonograph was used to detect the left ventricle Tei indexes of patients in each group,and comparison was made in the differences of the parameters among all groups. Results (1)The Tei index,IRT/ET and ICT/ET of left ven-tricular in the liver cirrhosis group were higher than those in the normal/control group,with significant differences between the two groups(P < 0.05). The Tei index,IRT/ET and ICT/ET of the left ventricular increased gradually in patients of grade Child A,B,and C,and significant differences were observed in Tei index,IRT/ET(P < 0.05), but no significant diference in ICT/ET was found.(2)There were no significant difference in LVEF and Ea/Aa be-tween the cirrhosis group and the normal control group. LVEF and Ea/Aa in grade Child C were significantly lower than those in the normal control group(P < 0.05). Conclusion Tei index is superior to conventional echocardiog-raphy on assessment of the left ventricular function in patients with liver cirrhosis. Patients with higher the Child-Pugh score may be suffered from the worse the left ventricular function,especially the diastolic dysfunction.

Objective To study the application value of serum follicular statin 1(FSTL-1) in the diagnosis of chronic heart fail-ure(CHF) .Methods A total of 60 CHF children treated from January 2013 to January 2016 in hospital were selected as observa-tion group .According to New York Heart Association (HYHA) ,the subjects were divided into Type Ⅱ group ,Type Ⅲ group and Type Ⅳ group ,20 cases in each group .In addition ,60 healthy children were selected as control group .FSTL-1 ,NT-proBNP and LVMI were detected and analyzed .Results FSTL-1 ,NT-proBNP and LVMI in Type Ⅱ group ,Type Ⅲ group and Type Ⅳ group were higher than those of control group(P< 0 .05) .As the grade of cardiac function increasing ,FSTL-1 ,NT-proBNP and LVMI were higher(P<0 .05) .FSTL-1 had positive correlations with NT-proBNP and LVMI .The positive rate of FSTL-1 for diagnosis CHF was 96 .67% ,which had no significant difference with gold standard (P>0 .05) .Conclusion With the progress of illness ,the level of FSTL-1 increases ,which is importance in the diagnosis and monitoring of CHF .It is worthy of further application and pro-motion in clinical practices .

Objective To investigate the role and related mechanism of the soluble guanylate cyclase(sGC)-cGMP-protein kinase G(PKG)signaling pathway in the amelioration of isoproterenol(ISO)-induced cardiac hypertrophy in mice by aqueous extract of Curcuma kwangsiensis root tubers(GYJS).Methods 72 KM male mice were divided randomly into 6 groups:normal,model,propranolol control(40 mg/kg),and GYJS low-(1 g/kg),medium-(2 g/kg),and high-dose(4 g/kg)groups.Mice in the experimental groups were injected subcutaneously with ISO 10 mg/kg on days 1～3 and ISO 5 mg/kg on days 4～14 to establish a mouse cardiac hypertrophy model.4h after each subcutaneous injection of ISO,the mice in each group were administered the corresponding drugs orally for a dosing cycle of 14 days.The hearts were then removed and whole heart and left ventricle weight were measured.Myocardial tissue pathology was observed using hematoxylin and eosin and Masson staining,and sGC subunit beta-1(GUCY1B3)and transforming growth factor(TGF-β1)were detected by immunohistochemistry.Serum lactate dehydrogenase(LDH),creatine kinase(CK),and Nitric Oxide(NO),and myocardial superoxide dismutase(SOD)activity and malondialdehyde(MDA)content were measured using respective kits.Serum cGMP was detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and quantitative reverse transcription PCR(RT-qPCR),and atrial natriuretic peptide(ANP),brain natriuretic peptide(BNP),GUCY1B3,PKG Ⅰ,and phosphodiesterase(PDE)5A mRNA expression levels were also determined by RT-qPCR.Results Compared with the model group,whole heart and left ventricle weights were significantly reduced in mice treated with propranolol or GYJS(P＜0.001 or P＜0.0001)and myocardial hypertrophy and myocardial fibrosis were significantly reversed.All the treatments significantly elevated myocardial expression of GUCY1B3(P＜0.05 or P＜0.01)and significantly reduced expression of TGF-β1(P＜0.05 or P＜0.01).The myocardial damage markers LDH and CK were significantly reduced(P＜0.05 or P＜0.01)while NO and cGMP were significantly elevated(P＜0.05 or P＜0.01),the myocardial oxidative stress indicator MDA was significantly reduced(P＜0.05 or P＜0.01)and SOD activity was significantly increased(P＜0.05 or P＜0.01).mRNA levels of the myocardial hypertrophy markers ANP,BNP,and PDE5A were significantly reduced(P＜0.05,P＜0.01,or P＜0.001)and the mRNA levels of GUCY1B3 and PKG Ⅰ were significantly increased(P＜0.01 or P＜0.001).Conclusions GYJS may improve cardiac hypertrophy by modulating the sGC-cGMP-PKG signaling pathway.
