OBJECTIVETo explore the correlation between electronic bronchus mirror and Chinese medical syndrome typing of Mycoplasma pneumonia children.
METHODSTotally 198 Mycoplasma pneumonia children inpatients were assigned to three syndrome types according to Chinese medical syndrome typing and self-formulated typing standards of electronic bronchus mirror, i.e., Fei-qi accumulation of damp and heat syndrome, Fei-qi accumulation of toxicity and heat syndrome, deficient vital qi leading to lingering of pathogen syndrome. The correlation between electronic bronchus mirror and Chinese medical syndrome typing was explored.
RESULTSAs for comparison between electronic bronchus mirror and Chinese medical syndrome typing, Kappa value (K^) was 0.645 and Spearman coefficient correlation (r) was 0.653 (P < 0.01) for Fei-qi accumulation of damp and heat syndrome; K^ was 0.724 and r(s) was 0.727 (P < 0.01) for Fei-qi accumulation of toxicity and heat syndrome; K^ was 0.506 and r(s) was 0.515 (P < 0.01) for deficient vital qi leading to lingering of pathogen syndrome.
CONCLUSIONChinese medical syndrome typing of Mycoplasma pneumonia children was moderately in line with inspection typing under electronic bronchoscope with significant correlation.

To build a reversed phase ion-pair chromatography to determination content of Dencichine from Panax notoginseng. Using Tetrabutyl ammonium hydroxide ions by the combination of reagent and HPLC method without derivatization to test the content of dencichine directly. The optimum conditions of supersonic extraction were solid-to-liquid ratio 1: 20, Continuous ultrasonic extraction: twice, each time 15 minutes; 3,500 r · min⁻¹, then centrifuging 15 minutes. Dencichine in different age, place, part and the different Processing mode were examined. The method is simple with sound separation degree and stability, which can facilitate the determination of dencichine content directly and provide the basis in quality standard of raw material.

Objective To study the protective effects of the heat shock protein 70(HSP70)induced by zinc sulfate on reperfusion injury following pancreaticoduodenal transplantation in rats. Methods The homologous male Wistar rat model of heterotopic total pancreaticoduodenal transplantation was used. The ZnSO4 treated rats received the intravenous injection of Zn2+5 mins before and after operation at a dose of 5 mg/kg(Zn-1 group),10 mg/kg(Zn-2 group) and 15 mg/kg(Zn-3 group),and the control group with the same volume of saline. The tissue concentration of HSP70 was determined using Western-Blot.In addition, blood sugar(BG) and serum concentration of amylase and lipase were examined 24h after transplantation, and the activity of myeloperoxidase(MPO) in the pancrease graft was measured at the same time.Histological observation was performed. Results Light microscopic studies showed that histomorphological changes of pancreas in Zn-2 group and Zn-1 group were much less than those in control group and Zn-3 group. The value of BG and serum lipase and MPO in Zn-2 group

OBJECTIVE Zn-doped CuO nanocomposites (nZn-CuO NPs) are novel nanoparticles synthesized by sonochemical method. This study aimed to further investigate the antitumor effects and mechanism of nZn-CuO NPs, as well as the exact mechanism of reactive oxygen species (ROS) on nZn-CuO NPs-induced death using N-acetylcysteine (NAC). METHODS The antitumor effects of nZn-CuO NPs were evaluated by MTS assay and orthotopic transplantation tumor model in nude mice. The effects of nZn-CuO NPs with or without NAC on ROS production, DNA damage, apoptosis, mitochondrial damage, autophagy, lysosome impairment, and ER and Golgi stress were determined. Also, western blot was used to detect apoptosis and autophagy related proteins,as well as NF-κB pathway related proteins. RESULTS nZn-CuO NPs significantly inhibit tumor growth both in vitro and in vivo. nZn-CuO NPs were able to cause cytotoxicity, ROS production, DAN damage mitochondrial damage, apoptosis, and autophagy, and NAC can attenuate them. Further studies showed that nZn-CuO NPs induced changes of apoptosis, autophagy and NF-κB pathway related proteins, and NAC can restore them. CONCLUSION Overall, our data demonstrated that nZn-CuO NPs could inhibit tumor growth both in vitro and in vivo by ROS-dependent regulation of apoptosis and autophagy, which might be cross-linked by NF-κB pathways.

Cassiae Semen is a common traditional Chinese medicine, and contents of anthraquinones of Cassiae Semen different significantly from area to area. According to Chinese Pharmacopoeia (2010 edition), only contents of aurantio obtusin and chrysophanol were used to evaluate the quality of Cassiae Semen, another data could be added later. Ten batches of Cassiae Semen from different areas were determined, and total anthraquinones, total free anthraquinones and total combined anthraquinones contents were assessed by ultraviolet visible spectrophotometer, contents of aurantio obtusin, rhein, aloe emodin, emodin, chrysophanol and physcion were determined by HPLC. After that, principal components analysis was used to evaluate these data determined previous by dimension reduction analysis. At last, the result suggests that three main components were found out, it shows that content of aloe emodin could be used to evaluate the quality of Cassiae Semen as well as contents of aurantio obtusin and chrysophanol. And Cassiae Semen from Hebei province posseses higher quality than Cassiae Semen from other different areas. All these results can provide a good reference for quality evaluating of Cassiae Semen medicinal materials at a certain extent.

Objective To evaluate laparoscopic partial splenectomy (LPS) for benign splenic tumors.Method Data of 55 patients undergoing laparoscopic partial splenectomy (20 cases) vs total splenectomy (LTS in 35 cases) at Peking University Third Hospital from August 2008 to July 2016 were collected and retrospectively analyzed. Results There was no difference in sex,BMI,preoperative H GB,preoperative PLT,operation time, operative blood loss and hospital stay between two groups.Age in LPS cases was younger than LTS group, while the tumor size was larger. On the 4th day postoperatively,PLT level was significnatly higher in LTP group.More patients in LTS group suffered from thrombocytosis. Conclusions Laprtoscopic partial splenectomy is a safe and effective procedure for the management of splenic benign tumors.
