Objective To investigate the correlation between angiotensin converting enzyme(ACE) gene polymorphism and kawasaki disease(KD).Methods A 287 bp Alu fragment in intron 16 of the ACE gene was used as insertion(I)/deletion(D) polymorphism marker. Objective To evaluate the relationship between combined muhigene detection and response to chemotherapy and prognosis in epithelial ovarian carcinomas(EOCS).Methods A total of 80 ovarian tissue samples taken from the surgical specimens of patients with EOCS of our hospital in the last two decades who had received chemotherapy "after surgery were paraffin-embedded.The samples were divided into 2 groups,good prognosis group(patients who survived more than 2 years,n=46)and poor prognosis group(patients who survived less than 2 years,n=34).The expression levels of ToPo-Ⅱ,Ki-67,MGMT, PCNA,p27,p53,pl6,P-gp,LRP,GST-?,bcl-2,C-myc,Fas,bax,MSH2,MRP and BCRP were investigated by the combination of tissue arrays and immunohistoehemical streptavidin-biotin peroxidase(SP) method in all samples.Data were analysed with SPSS 12.0 for windows.Results There were statistically significant differences in the positive expression levels of P-gp,BCRP,MGMT,MSH2,p27 and p16(62%, 50% and 50% in poor prognosis group vs 33%,28% and 28% respectively,P

ConclusionThe expression of VOCC mRNA and BKCa mRNA in kidney tissues of IgA nephropathy patients are abnormal.There is positive correlation between the abnormal expression of VOCC mRNA and BKCa mRNA and total glomerular pathological lesions integrals.The expression of VOCC mRNA and BKCa mRNA in kidney tissues of IgA nephropathy may serve as the indictor for the disease progression.

OBJECTIVE To study the pharmacokinetic and distribution of arctiin in rats. METHODS Each rat was given a single dose at random by oral administration. The arctiin in serum and organs were determined by use of RP-HPLC. All pharmacokinetic parameters were calculated with a 3P87 program. RESULTS After oral administration of arctiin at the dose of 300mg·kg-1, Arctiin plasma C-T curve conform to open two-compartment model. The Pharmacokinetic parameters were as follow: A=(37.374 5±8.964 7)μg·mL-1;B=(6.210 6±1.489 3)μg·mL-1;α=(0.004 3±0.000 9)min-1;β=(0.000 4±0.000 2)min-1;Kα=(0.420 2±0.167 5)min -1;t1/2α=(115.192 6±14.382 4)min ;t1/2β=(1 485.578 1±161.173 3)min;K10 =(0.001 0±0.000 4)min -1;K21=(0.001 4±0.000 6)min -1 ;K12=(0.002 3±0.001 3)min -1 ;Cmax=(41.786 3±7.521 7)μg·mL-1 ;Tmax=(9.891 9±4.341 4)min;AUC=(22 503.272 7±4 120.182 8)μg·min·mL-1. Liver had the highest concentration of arctiin after oral administration. CONCLUSION RP-HPLC method is rapid, sensitive and specific for the research of arctiin pharmacokinetic and its distribution in rats. Arctiin is distributed and eliminated quickly in rats.

OBJECTIVETo study changes of left ventricular remodeling (LVR) in hypertension patients with carotid atherosclerosis (CAS) of phlegm-dampness syndrome (PDS).

METHODSDoppler ultrasonography data of CAS were observed in 223 hypertension patients with CAS (as the hypertension group, including 119 patients of the PDS group and 104 of the non-PDS group), 81 CAS patients with non-hypertension, and 19 non-hypertension non-CAS patients (as the control group). The difference in the degree of LVR was compared among the above groups.

RESULTSThe left ventricular posterior wall thickness (LVPWT), inter ventricular septum thickness (IVS), E/A were higher in the hypertension group than in the non-hypertension group (P < 0.05). The left ventricular end-diastolic dimension (LVEDD), left ventricular end-systolic diameter (LVESD), stroke volume (SV) were higher in the soft plaque hypertension group and the soft plaque non-hypertension group than in the hard plaque group, the thickening intimal group, and the normal intimal group (P < 0.01 , P < 0.05). The LVEDD, LVESD, and SV were higher, and the ejection fraction (EF) was lower in the PDS hypertension group than in the non-PDS hypertension group (all P < 0.05). Of them, LVEDD, LVESD, and SV were higher in the soft plaque group than in the hard plaque group (P < 0.01), the thickening intimal group (P < 0.01) and the normal intimal group (P < 0.05). There was no statistical difference in PDS hypertension between the soft plaque group and the hard plaque group (P > 0.05).

CONCLUSIONThe hypertension patients with CAS of PDS might be correlated to LVR, and LVR was more obviously in the soft plaque patients.

Objective To evaluate the application and the good qualities of high-resolution ultrasound and CDFI-guided mammotome minimally invasive biopsy device in the diagnosis and treatment of breast lesions.Methods The common clinical operations and the lesions which were guided mammotome minimally invasive biopsy device by high-resolution ultrasound and CDFI were contrasted.The effects of treatment were evaluated.Results 307 le- sions of 102 patients were removed by this method,and the operational process was successful.Patients' skin lacera- tions were tiny.Only one lesion was clinically diagnosed as mild blood clot under skin,but without other complica- tions.Conclusion Contrasted with the common clinily operations.the high-resolution ultrasound and CDFI-guided mammotome minimally invasive biopsy device in the diagnosis and treatment of breast lesion is effective,and the scar is tiny.It releases patients' pain.

Objective To evaluate the quality of the portal images acquired by computed radiography(CR)system and conventional screen-film system,respectively.Methods imaging plates (IP)and X-ray films of a home-devised lead phantom with a leakage of 6.45% were acquired,and modulation transfer function(MTF)curves of the both images were measured using edge method.Portal images of 40 nasopharyngeal cancer patients were acquired by IP and screen-film system respectively.Two doctors with similar experience evaluated the damage degree of petrosa] bone,the receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve of CR images and general images were drawn according to two doctors evaluation results.Results The identification frequency of CR system and screen-film system were 1.159 and 0.806 Lp/mm respectively.For doctor one,the area under ROC curve of CR images and general images were 0.802 and 0.742 respectively.For doctor two,the area under ROC curve of CR images and general images were 0.751 and 0.600 respectively.The MTF curve and ROC curve of CR are both better than those of screen-film system.Conclusion The image quality of CR portal imaging is much better than that of screen-film system.The utility of CR in linear accelerator for portal imaging is promising in clinic.

OBJECTIVE: To provide a reference for diagnosing and treating Kawasaki disease (KD). METHODS: We retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of 186 cases of final diagnosed Kawasaki disease and observed the characteristics of incomplete KD. RESULTS: There were 108 cases of KD with lesion of coronary artery in 186 cases through 2-dimensional echocardiography. The incidence rate was 58.1%; it was easier to complicate with lesion of coronary artery in incomplete KD. Of them, slight coronary artery aneurysm was 60 cases (55.6%), midrange coronary artery aneurysm was 36 cases (33.3%), and severe coronary artery aneurysm was 12 cases (11.1%). After 1 to 3 year's follow-up to all cases, the cases of slight coronary artery aneurysm all recovered in 6 months. The state of an illness in the cases of moderate and heavy coronary artery aneurysm was improved in 6 months except 3 huge aneurysm combining coronary artery thrombosis and coronary artery stenosis developed heart infarction and cardiomyopathy. The 30 cases of coronary artery aneurysm recovered in 1 year, 8 cases in 2 years, and 7 cases in 3 years. The patient that were not found with arterial coronary at the acute stage had no abnormality in 1 to 2 years after the treatment. CONCLUSION It is easier to complicate with lesion of coronary artery in incomplete KD and the prognosis of coronary aneurysm is worse. To improve early diagnose and treatment of incomplete KD, it is necessary to use 2-dimensional echocardiography to check the suspected cases.
