?-arbutin is biosynthesized by whole cell method with Xanthomona maltophilia BT-112.The conditions for cell biosynthesized ?-arbutin are investigated as follows:temperature,25℃;concentration of hydroquinone,30mmol/L;mol ratio of sucrose and hydroquinone,20∶1;time course of ?-arbutin biosynthesis,45 hours;rotational speed,160r/min;concentration of Xanthomona maltophilia BT-112,85g/L;concentration of K-2HPO-4-KH-2PO-4 buffer solution,25mmol/L;pH of K-2HPO-4-KH-2PO-4 buffer solution,8.0.Under the above optimal conditions, the maximum of molar conversion yield based on the amount of hydroquinone supplied reaches 86.7%.

In order to affirm the cardioactive components in Fuzi, we identified a group of aminoalcohol- diterpenoid alkaloids in Fuzi using ultra high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with electrospray ionization mass spectrometer (UPLC-ESI-MS) method. Among a total of forty-one isolated ingredients, thirteen major aminoalcohol-diterpenoid alkaloids were identified by comparing their retention times and MS spectra with those of the reference substances. Moreover, Fuzi samples from different places of origin and with different processing methods were examined and their components displayed a pattern of high similarity, though the relative abundance varies probably due to their different processing methods. Furthermore, the cardiac effect of each identified alkaloid was individually evaluated using the isolated bullfrog heart perfusion experiment. Among the thirteen aminoalcohol diterpenoid alkaloids tested, six of them significantly enhanced the amplitude rates. Taken together, we affirm that the cardioactive components in Fuzi are aminoalcohol-diterpenoid alkaloids, shedding light on future studies of the mechanisms and development of these cardioactive compounds.

4.Nrf2 as a chemoprevention target in gastrointestinal carcinoma.
Peng GAO ; Xiu-wen TANG ; Xiu-jun WANG
Journal of Zhejiang University. Medical sciences 2012;41(4):453-463
Gastrointestinal tract carcinoma is one of the leading causes of cancer-related death in China. Chemoprevention has been considered as a potential approach to control this type of disease. Nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) is a redox-sensitive transcription factor that protects cells from oxidative/electrophilic stresses by activating the expression of a battery of cytoprotective genes through the antioxidant response element (ARE). Recently, Nrf2 has emerged as a novel target for chemoprevention. Several natural or synthetic chemicals, which activate Nrf2/ARE signaling pathway, have showed effect in animal models, and promises in many ongoing clinical trials. This review summarizes the recent findings on the regulation of Nrf2/ARE signaling pathway, and the developments in both preclinical and clinical studies.

Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica 2003;38(12):900-903
AIMTo investigate the effect of sodium ferulate (SF) on glycerol-induced renal injury.
METHODSGlycerol solution 50% was injected intramuscularly to establish a model of acute tubular necrosis in mice. SF was administered intraperitoneally at the dose of 100-200 mg.kg-1 at the beginning of establishing the model and its effect was observed by monitoring renal function, antioxidative functions and renal pathologic histology.
RESULTSAt 6 and 72 h after glycerol injection, SF treatment (100-200 mg.kg-1) showed significant and dose-dependent antagonistic actions on the increment of blood urea nitrogen (BUN), creatinine (Cr), and N-acetyl-beta-glucosaminidase (NAG) induced by glycerol. The increase of renal malondialdehyde (MDA) content and the decrease of glutathione content, glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px), glutathione S-transferase (GST), catalase (Cat) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) activities resulting from glycerol injection were remarkably inversed by SF at the dose of 200 mg.kg-1. Meanwhile, improvement of the renal histology was observed as well.
CONCLUSIONSF showed beneficial effect on glycerol-induced acute tubular necrosis due to its antioxidative action.

International Eye Science 2014;(7):1364-1366
AlM: To analyze personality traits in preoperative patients who undergolaser in situ keratomileusis ( LASlK) and to provide psychological basis for the selection of refractive surgery.
METHODS: Eligible patientswere seeking customized LASlK (group A n=53), conventional LASlK(group B n=75)and non-operation patients with ametropia (group C n=71 ) , who completed 16 personality factor questionnaires (16PF). Statistical analyses were performed with one-way ANOVA by SPSS11. 0 software package.
RESULTS: Compared to group C, patients in group A scored high on dominance and tension levels, and low on emotional stability level(P<0. 05), while patients in group B were more venturesome and more experimenting, but were less vigilant ( P<0. 05 ). Additionally, there were statistical differences between group A and group B on dominance, gallantry and vigilance respectively(P<0. 05). CONCLUSlON: The data indicates that personality profiles of LASlK patients with refractive error influence their decision for correction. Patients need suitable psychological assessment before surgery who actively chose customized LASlK seem to be more assertive and suspicious.

Chinese Journal of Current Advances in General Surgery 2017;20(5):337-341
Objective:The aim of this study was to detect the P2X7 receptor (P2X7R) protein expression in pancreatic carcinoma and to analyze its association with clinicopathology features of pancreatic carcinoma. And furtherly to explore the effects and underlying mechanisms of P2X7R on invasion and migration of PANC-1 cell line.Methods:P2X7R expression was determined by immunohistochemistry in specimens of primary cancer and adjacent noncancerous tissues respectively, and analyzed the relationship between P2X7R expression and clinicopathology features of pancreatic carcinoma. The transwell assay and wound healing assay were used for investigating cell invasion and migration ability of PANC-1,and western blotting was performed to measure the expresions of MMP2 and MMP9.Results:P2X7R protein was highly expressed in both PANC-1 cell line and tumor tissue, and associated positively with the histological differentiation and lymph node staging. The active P2X7R could increase the cell migration and invasion ability of PANC-1 cell line through up-regulated MMP2 and MMP9.Conclusions:The overexpression of P2X7R plays crucial roles in the migration and invasion of pancreatic carcinoma, and may represent a novel molecular target in pancreatic carcinoma therapy.

Microbiology 2008;0(12):-
When it is cold winter in the northern China, the temperature of water is very low. Low tempera- ture is the main reason of the worse treatment of oil wastewater. In cold winter when the temperature is lowered to around 4?C, the effect of biological treatment of sewage is poor and hard to target the problem of reach a set standard of outing water. Use of microbiology to deal with oil pollution is one of the most effective, the most secure and the most thorough method. So the article from the microbiological point of view to study, isolated from nature world, screening to eight low-temperature grease which can grow under 5?C and degradation of sewage bacteria.
