International Eye Science 2016;16(10):1946-1948
AIM: To investigate the clinical value of fundus fluorescein angiography ( FFA ) and optical coherent tomography ( OCT) in the diagnosis of central retinal vein occlusion.
●METHODS:A total of 47 cases (47 eyes) central retinal vein occlusion were retrospectively analyzed from Jun. 2012 to Dec. 2015 in our hospital ophthalmology center. According to the final diagnosis, the results were divided into 21 cases of central retinal artery occlusion ( group CRAO, 21 eyes) and central retinal vein occlusion ( group CRVO, 26 eyes ) . All patients received FFA and OCT examination within 2wk of onset, and the image data of the two kinds of examination results were analyzed.
● RESULTS: Group of patients with CRAO average macular foveola thickness, angle measuring, filling time determination results were significantly lower than that of the patients with CRVO group average and the differences were significant (P<0. 05).
●CONCLUSION:FFA and OCT images of central retinal artery and vein occlusion have their own characteristics, and the combination of these two images can be used to identify and diagnose the central retinal artery and vein occlusion.

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2006;0(13):-
Objective To explore the relationship of etiopathogenesis, therapy and prognosis in children with chronic arrhythmia.Met-hods Forty cases aged 48 h to 12 years old between Sep.2003 to Oct.2006 were selected. All children had vertigo,syncope,Adam-Stoke syndrome, cardiac shock. Some cases were detected with complete atrioventricular block(CAVB)(33 cases),sinus bradycardia(5 cases) or sick sinus syndrome(2 cases) by electrocardiogram(ECG) at least 2 times, and these symptoms lasted 3 days at least.Congenital CAVB children having no clinical symptom were given no treatment.Cases having sinus bradycardia, sick sinus syndrome resulted from viral myocarditis, the earlier were given antiviral medicine, energy composition, intravenous megavitamin C,isoprenaline, and large dose of adrenocortcal hormone simultaneously. Some were given human ?-globulin.Eight of them were set temporary pacemaker because of unsatisfactory treatment, and 2 of them were set permanent pacemaker. Results Twenty-eight cases were cured,9 cases were improved and 3 cases died.Six out of the cured cases and improved cased were set permanent or temporary pacemaker. Conclusions Early discovery, early diagnosis, and early temporary pacemaker use will lead a better prognosis in regular treatment. On the contrary, the delayed treatment on children with viral myocarditis and CAVB caused by dilated cardiomyopathy will lead a negative prognosis.

Objective To study the different expressions of receptor activator of nuclear factor-kappa B ligang(RANKL) mRNA in spleens of rats fed with diet of low calcium and high fluoride. Methods A 2× 2×2 factorial design was used and the factors were calcium, fluoride and action time. In the design, 40 Wistar rats [average body mass(118.9±13.5)g] were divided into four groups randomly by weight: control with normal diet (0.790%, calcium), low calcium group with low calcium intake(0.063%, calcium), high fluoride group with normal diet and high fluoride intake(100 mg/L, fluoride) and low calcium and high fluoride group with low calcium and high fluoride intake. After 4 and 8 months, 5 rats of each group were sacrificed and total RNA was extracted from spleen. And the expression levels of RANKL mRNA were determined by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). Results At time of 4 months, the expression level of RANKL mRNA was 0.13± 0.05,0.13± 0.03,0.17±0.02,0.27± 0.05 and at time of 8 months, it was 0.11 ± 0.01,0.16 ± 0.02,0.16± 0.03,0.36 ± 0.07 in control group, low calcium group, high fluoride group, low calcium with high fluoride group, repectively. The factorial design AVONA showed that low calcium and high fluoride had significant effects on RANKL mRNA expression(F = 40.224,56.679, all P < 0.05) while action time had not(F = 2.850, P > 0.05 ). The interactions of low calcium with high fluoride or high fluoride with action time were signifieant(F = 7.247, 18.789, all P < 0.05) while the interaction of high fluoride with action time was not(F = 1.751, P > 0.05). Conclusions Low calcium alone or high fluoride alone or low calcium with high fluoride or low calcium with action time can increase the the RANKL mRNA expression level. High fluoride does not affect the RANKL mRNA level as the action time is prolonged.

Background Researches demonstrated that dendritic cells(DCs) are uniformly immature in the central cornea but mature in the peripheral region of cornea. So an important question is which factor impact the maturation of DCs,especially in terms of corneal transplant rejection and the known roles of DCs in the development and persistence of some corneal diseases. Objective This study aimed to examine whether corneal stroma cells (CSCs) inhibit DCs maturation through secreting transforming growth factor beta 2 (TGF-β2) and prostaglandin E2 (PGE2).Methods DCs,T cells and CSCs were isolated and cultured from clean BALB/c and C57BL/6 mice. The level of PGE2 and TGF-β2in CSCs culture supernatant and the fresh RPMI 1640 medium were then analyzed by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).During the DCs maturation stage, the neutralizing TGF-β2 antibody and the EP2 receptor antagonist AH6809 were added in the CSCs culture supernatant respectively.According to the different treatment, cultured cells were assigned to different groups as follows:control group,CSCs culture supernatant group,AH6809 group,TGF-β2 antibody group,AH6809 +TGF-β2 antibody group.Subsequently, the cellular surface markers for DCs,including CD11c,CD80,CD86,and MHC- Ⅱ,were analyzed by flow cytometry. The capability of stimulating the proliferation of T lymphocytes was evaluated by allogeneic mixed lymphocyte reactions, and the function of endocytosis was assessed by fluorescein isothiocyanate-dextran(FITC) uptake. Results The data of ELISA showed a higher concentration of TGF-β2 and PGE2 in murine CSCs culture supernatant than in the fresh RPMI 1640 medium.Compared with the CSCs culture supernatant group, the expression of CD80,CD86,and MHC- Ⅱ was up-regulated ( P < 0.05 ),the expression of dextran was down-regulated ( P < 0.05 ),and the stimulate index was increased( P< 0.05 ) in the TGF-β2 antibody group; the expression of CD86,and MHC-Ⅱ was up-regulated (P<0.05),the expression of dextran was down-regulated ( F =13.740,P =0.006 ),and the stimulate index was increased(P<0.05) in the AH6809 group;the expression of MHC-Ⅱ was up-regulated and the stimulate index was increased with statistical difference in interaction(P<0.05 ) in the AH6809+TGF-β2 antibody group.Compared with the control group, the expression of CD80 and CD86,and the stimulate index was still lower(P<0.05 ).Conclusions TGF-β2 and PGE2 contribute to the inhibitory effects on DCs maturation mediated by murine CSCs in vitro and further have additive effect on the immunosuppression of DCs.
