1.The Biomechanical Study of Tension Band with Cancellous Bone Screw for the Treatment of Patella Fracture
Orthopedic Journal of China 2001;8(4):381-383
Objective: To compare the biomechanical strength of tension band with cancellous bone screws with AO tension band, modified tension band and cancellous screws alone for the treatment of patella fracture.Methods:20 fresh frozen cadaveric knee specimen were divided into four groups randomly.Transverse osteotomies of the patella were performed and the simulated fractures were fixed with four techniques. The biomechanical testing was perfomed by using WD-10E electrical mechanical testing machine. The internal fixation was considered failure when fracture gap exceeding 1mm.Results:All techniques functioned adepuately under 420 N loading of quadriceps tendon. However, biomechanical strength was greatest in tension band with cancellous bone screws (P<0.05),lowest in AO tension bands and no stability enough in cancellous bone screw alone. Conclusion:Tension band with cancellous bone screws is the best technique for the treatment of patella fracture.

Objective To provide evidences and suggestions for educational innovation in military medical universities. Methods To carry out follow-up survey and evaluation in 85 graduates by using questionnaire survey and apply evaluation index system for quality follow-up among military clinical medicine masters. Results The average score evaluated by graduates is 78.39, the average score evaluated by hospitals is 86.00, The two average scores are normally distributed and have a positive correlativity (r=0.495). Conclusion The integrative quality of graduate students is good, but they should strengthen further in clinical capability, general quality and independent innovation.

China Biotechnology 2006;0(06):-
Considerable knowledge about the biology of forest tree has been gained in the recent years by the application of the new genomic technologies to study tree growth and development as well as the response of trees to biotic and abiotic stresses. Proteomics is becoming an important content in the biology of forest tree. A review is given about the progress in forest tree proteomics research in the areas of population genetics, genetic mapping, stress physiology, organs and tissues, and wood formation, etc. Furthermore, forest tree proteome database is briefly introduced. Finally, the prospect of proteomics is discussed.

Objective To evaluate the value of CYRTA21-1,CEA and SPECT in diagnosis of bone metastasis in lung cancer. Methods 216 patients with lung cancer were examined by radionuclide bone imaging and serum CYFRA21-1,CEA.20 patients with benign lung disease were also studied. Results 121 of the 216 lung cancer patients were confirmed bone metastasis including 101 multi-metastasis and 20 singu- lar-metastasis. The positive rate was 56.02 %.The serum CYFR21-1,CEA level and positive rate of lung cancer patients with bone metastasis were obviously higher than those of patients without bone metastasis or with benign lung disease. The level of serum CYFR21-1,CEA had significant difference(P

Objective To study on ERCP findings correlating with tumor size and staging of pancre- atic cancer(PC).Methods We selected 35 patients with PC who were identified by surgery and/or pathol- ogy and had undergone ERCP with clear imaging findings. The lengths of pancreatic duct and common bile duct stricture as well as the diameter of upstream dilated pancreatic or bile duct were measured on ERCP films. The ralationship among ERCP findings and tumor size and JPS T-stage of PC were analysed by correla- tion analysis. Results Of the 35 patients with PC,ERCP showed the pancreatic duct stricture in 25 and cut- off of pancreatic duct in 10(7 of them, the lesion lengths were revealed after a guide wire advanced beyond the obstructive site)and common bile duct stricture in 31.The correlation coefficients between tumor size and lengths of pancreatic duct or common bile duct stricture were 0.709(P=0.0001)and 0.540(P=0.0053) respectively. The correlation coefficient between JPS T-stage and lengths of pancreatic duct stricture was 0.514(P=0.0052).Conclusion The length of pancreatic duct stricture in ERCP was positively correlated with the tumor size and staging of PC.But it is not consistent when the length of stricture is rather short. The lengths of bile duct stricture also have some effects on predicting the tumor size of pancreatic head cancer.

Objective To evaluate diagnostic significance of renal arteriography by injecting adrenalin in patients with renal tumour. Methods The renal angiography after administration of adrenalin (6 ?g) in 47 patients with renal malign ant tumour were performed. The angiographic results were analysed in comparison with that of pathology. The diagnostic accuracy parameters including sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, positive prediction rate, negative prediction rate, positive and negative index were caluclated. Results The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy in the detection of renal malign ant tumour were 93% ,94% and 94% respectively. Positive prediction rate were 97%,negative prediction rate was 89%, positive likelihood rate was 15.8, negative likelihood rate was 0.07 and Youden index was 0.87.Conclusion Medicaments angiography by injecting adrenalin is of important diagnostic value for renal tumour, especially for those which are vascularized and could not diagnosed by other technology qualitatively.

Chinese Journal of Biotechnology 2002;18(1):16-19
Na+/H+ antiporter plays an important role in mechanisms of the plant salt tolerance, it extrudes Na+ from cell energized by the proton gradient generated by the plasm membrane H(+)-ATPase and/or compartmentalizes Na+ in vacuole energized by the proton gradient generated by the vacuolar membrane H(+)-ATPase and H(+)-PPiase. This review mainly discusses the latest progress in the study of Na+/H+ antiporter in plant and yeast at molecular level.

Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica 2003;38(12):900-903
AIMTo investigate the effect of sodium ferulate (SF) on glycerol-induced renal injury.
METHODSGlycerol solution 50% was injected intramuscularly to establish a model of acute tubular necrosis in mice. SF was administered intraperitoneally at the dose of 100-200 mg.kg-1 at the beginning of establishing the model and its effect was observed by monitoring renal function, antioxidative functions and renal pathologic histology.
RESULTSAt 6 and 72 h after glycerol injection, SF treatment (100-200 mg.kg-1) showed significant and dose-dependent antagonistic actions on the increment of blood urea nitrogen (BUN), creatinine (Cr), and N-acetyl-beta-glucosaminidase (NAG) induced by glycerol. The increase of renal malondialdehyde (MDA) content and the decrease of glutathione content, glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px), glutathione S-transferase (GST), catalase (Cat) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) activities resulting from glycerol injection were remarkably inversed by SF at the dose of 200 mg.kg-1. Meanwhile, improvement of the renal histology was observed as well.
CONCLUSIONSF showed beneficial effect on glycerol-induced acute tubular necrosis due to its antioxidative action.
