Objective To study the changes of soluble intercelluar adhesion molecule-1 (sICAM-1) in serum of neonates with hy-poxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE),and significance of changes of serum sICAM-1 in HIE pathogenesis. Methods There were 17 controls of neonates and their sICAM-1 concentrations in serum were detected with enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) at the critical stage and at the beginning of convalescent stage in 36 cases of HIE neonates and 17 normal neonates. Objective To discuss effect on prevention of postpartum hemorrhage of caesarean section by us- ing calcium gluconate combined with oxytocin and misoprostol.Methods 385 cases of caesarean section were select- ed and randomized into O(Oxytocin) group and OM(Oxytocin+ Misoprostol) group and COM (Calcium gluconate+ Oxytocin+Misoprostol)group.Results The mean operative blood loss in O group and OM group and COM group were (300?50.24)ml,(220?30.83) ml,(150?45.52) ml.The amount of the mean operative blood loss of COM group was significantly lower than those of O group and OM group(P＜0.05).The amount of bleeding of 2 hours after delivery in O group and OM group and COM group were (400?45.52)ml,(260?60.43)mi and(210?50.54) ml.The amount of bleeding of COM group was significantly lower than those of O group and OM group (P＜0.05).Conclusion The prevention by used calcium gluconate combined with oxytocin and misoprostol is efficient in reducing the amount of postpartum hemorrhage of caesarean section.The operation of medicine is easy and safe and economic.

ObjectiveTo explore the role of Network Management System (NMS) in decreasing mortality and incidence of cerebral palsy in preterm infants.MethodsThe data of 356 preterm infants transported by NMS from January 2004 to December 2005 were analyzed.ResultsNo death cases occurred during the transportation of 356 preterm infants, the success rate was 100%. 292 cases (84.39%) were cured and 36 cases (10.4%) were effective. 7 case dead for compliance, the mortality was 19.6‰. 3 cases suffered from cerebral palsy , the incidence of cerebral palsy was 8.6‰.ConclusionNMS applied to preterm infants is a high-effective medical model, and plays an important role in improving the forward prognosis of preterm infants.

Febuxostat, as a xanthine oxidase inhibitor, is a classic anti-gout drug with significant therapeutic effects and good tolerability. The structures of febuxostat and its derivatives can be divided into two parts: a substituted phenyl ring and a five-membered or six-membered heterocyclic ring with a carboxyl substitution. This paper reviewed the research progress of febuxostat derivatives in recent ten years and classified the structure-activity relationships of various febuxostat derivatives. Exploring the action mechanisms and structure-activity relationships of xanthine oxidase inhibitors might be significant for the rational design and development of new anti-gout chemical entities.

Objective To detect the levels of five trace elements in whole blood of patients with Keshan disease(KSD) and dilated cardiomyopathy(DCM) and explore their role in the pathogenesis of KSD.Methods One hundred and four patients with chronic KSD were selected from Keshan diseased areas in Shandong,Sichuan and Inner Mongolia.Thirty patients with DCM were selected from Qilu Hospital of Shandong University,Jinan Central Hospital,The First People's Hospital.Ninety-one healthy people from KSD endemic areas and 39 healthy people from Jinan were selected as endemic healthy controls and non-endemic healthy controls,respectively.Blood samples were collected to determinate the level of selenium (Se),copper (Cu),zinc (Zn),chromium (Cr) and manganese (Mn) with fluorescence method and atomic absorption spectrometry,according to the principle of informed consent.Results The level of Se,Zn and Cr of KSD group[(36.0 + 4.9)μg/L,(22.73 + 4.62)mg/L,(0.56 + 0.17)mg/L] was significantly lower than that of non-endemic healthy controls [(56.4 ± 6.8)lμg/L,(25.35 ± 4.44)mg/L,(0.71 ± 0.17)mg/L,all P ＜ 0.05],but the level of Cu of KSD group[(0.95 ± 0.24)mg/L] was significantly higher than that of non-endemic healthy controls[(0.73 ± 0.13) mg/L,all P ＜ 0.05].The level of Se and Cr of KSD was significantly lower than that of endemic healthy controls[(54.5 ± 5.4)μg/L,(0.87 ± 0.02)mg/L,P ＜ 0.05],and Cu was significantly higher than that of endemic healthy controls[(0.66 ± 0.02)mg/L,P ＜ 0.05].The level of Cu and Zn of KSD was significantly lower than that of DCM [(1.21 ± 0.23)mg/L,(27.09 ± 7.10)mg/L,all P ＜ 0.01].The level of Se and Cr of DCM group[(39.6 ± 3.5)μg/L,(0.58 ± 0.14)mg/L] was significantly lower than that of non-endemic healthy controls(all P ＜ 0.01),but Cu[(1.21 + 0.23)mg/L] was significantly increased (P ＜ 0.01).Compared with non-endemic healthy controls,the level of Se of endemic healthy control group was significantly decreased (P ＜ 0.01),while Cu was significantly increased (P ＜ 0.01).Se,Zn and Cr level of KSD decreased gradually following elevated heart function level,but the level of Cu gradually increased.Conclusions The metabolism of Se,Cr,Cu and Zn is unbalanced in KSD patients,whose Se level is still lower than that of people in non-endemic areas.The change of Se,Cr,Cu and Mn level between KSD and DCM is consistent.

The uncorrected visual acuity increased significantly, and the diopter decreased significantly after their wearing (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in axial length after wearing OK lens for 6mo,1,and 2a (P>0.05). CONCLUSION: The orthokeratology lenses can significantly increase uncorrected visual acuity and improve refractive power for juvenile myopia without severe corneal or conjunctival complications occurred, which has little influence on corneal endothelial cells and corneal thickness with a certain degree of safety.

OBJECTIVETo explore the norms of treatment of acute organophosphorus pesticide poisoning (AOPP), and observe the curative effect.

METHODSOn basis of the pre-research, the norms of treatment of AOPP were summarized, and a multi-center clinical trial was performed in 6 hospitals selected from high incidence of AOPP in Shandong Province.

RESULTS422 patients of AOPP in 6 hospitals in observation period were treated and observed by the norms of treatment. Among them, the proportion of oral poisoning was 97.16%, middle and severe degree were 87.44%. Compared with themselves 2 years ago before standard treatment, the curative effect of the norms of treatment for AOPP was much better than before. The mortality rate of AOPP declined from 9.87% to 1.66% (Chi2 = 27.92, P < 0.01), that was much better than the average therapeutic effect level of all our province in the same period (the mortality rate: 8.92%) (Chi2 = 26.05, P < 0.01). The average amount of atropine [(37.54 +/- 17.76) mg], dropped greatly [(1280.70 +/- 69.22) mg] (U = 439.22, P < 0.01).The usage of atropine by continuous intravenous injection with venous pump was better than ordinary intravenous injection. The mean dosage of pralidoxime chloride increased twice than the previous (U = 19.48, P < 0.01). There was no drug poisoning.

CONCLUSIONThe standard treatment of AOPP is urgently needed in our country, especially in rural area. By this trial, the satisfactory effect of the norms of treatment for AOPP summarized is observed and it reduces the fatality rate remarkably.
