1.Status and Risk Factors of Nosocomial Infection in Cerebral Palsy Children
Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2008;14(8):780-781
Objective To investigate the risk factors of nosocomial infection in children with cerebral palsy(CP).Methods The clinical data including infection part, infection time, age, the length of hospitalization, feeding patterns of 1 646 CP children was retrospectively investigated. Results 556 CP children got nosocomial infection. The nosocomial infection rate was 33.78%,the most common infection site was respiratory tract(80.97%),and the age of the most children infected was <2 years.March,April,November and December were the seasons easy to occur nosocomial infection. Conclusion Hypoimmunity, more young, longer hospitalization, season change, more companion and ventilation obstructed indoor maybe the important risk factors which leading a higher nosocomial infection rate among the CP children.

Cognitive dysfunction,as a common symptom among patients with chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) and patients with fibromyalgia(FM),impacts on life quality, occupation and study of these patients. However, the neural correlates to the cognitive impairment are unknown.Event related potentials, which reflect the information processing objectively and constantly, provide possibility for taking a insight into and estimating the dysfunction.By summarizing and analyzing studies in event related potentials about chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia,we found that CFS patients were characterized with prolonged latency of N200 and P300 accompanied by decreased P300 amplitude when they performed on Oddball paradigm, fibromyalgia patients were characterized with lower P300 amplitude when they concentrated on Oddball task, meanwhile, fibromyalgia patients also showed decreased P100/N100,P200,P300,LPC in emotional word decision task and somatic pictures decision task. It's suggests that the cognitive dysfunction in CFS is mainly caused by slowed speed of information identification and classification, whereas in FM it's dysregulation in attention control system results in the cognitive dysfunction.Limitations in current studies and prospects on researches about cognitive dysfunction in CFS for future were also discussed.

Objective To investigate the prevalence of metabolic syndrome(MS)and its components among people aged over 15 years in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and to compare the difference between Zhuang and Han populations. Methods Adopting cluster sampling,a survey of diabetes mellitus was conducted in Guangxi from 2003 to 2005.A total of 27 240 subjects aged over 15 years with complete data, including background information of each individual, blood pressure, lipid profile, plasma glucose, blood uric acid and fasting insulin were analyzed in this study. The prevalence of MS and its components were analysed in Han and Zhuang Chinese in Guangxi. The criteria of International Diabetes Federation(IDF)in 2005 and the China Diabetes Society(CDS)in 2004 were applied for diagnosis.Results(1)The crude prevalence rates of MS according to IDF definition were 13.15%in total,12.41%in male and 14.11%in female respectively. The age- standardized prevalence rates of MS(according to the population composition in China in 2000)were 7.66%in total,7.26%in male and 8.81%in female. The crude prevalence rates of MS according to CDS definition were 10.75%in total,13.45%in male and 7.28%in female respectively and the age-standar-dized prevalence rates of MS were 5.9%in total,7.21%in male and 4.31%in female. The prevalence of MS in total, male and female was increasing with age(P

Objective:To explore the prescription and medication law of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) compounds in the treatment of vascular dementia (VD) based on patent database. Methods:TCM compounds with patents about VD were retrieved from Chinese patent announcement website of the State Intellectual Property Office and CNKI. The retrieval time was from the establishment to the databases to 31 st, March 2022. The frequency, clusteringand association analysis were carried out with the help of TCM inheritance auxiliary platform (V2.5). The medication law was analyzed. Results:154 TCM compound patents for the treatment of vascular dementia were screened, involving 227 kinds of Chinese materia medica. Among them, Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma (44 times, 28.57%) was used more frequently, and the common medicinal pair was Salviea Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma- Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma (17 times, 11.03%). The medicinal property was mainly warm, the taste was mainly sweet, and the meridian was mainly liver meridian. Those with high confidence based on association rules were " Corni Fructus -Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma" (0.90), " Corni Fructus -Rehmannize Radix et Praeparata" (0.90). Based on the complex network, it was concluded that the core drugs were 14 groups such as " Rehmannize Radix et Praeparata- Cistanches Herba- Corni Fructus". The new prescriptions extracted by entropy cluster analysis included 7 groups such as " Rehmannize Radix et Praeparata, Cistanches Herba, Corni Fructus and Asparagi Radix". Conclusion:The treatment of VD by TCM compounds with national patents is mainly based on tonifying deficiency, promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, eliminating phlegm and dampness, expelling wind and dredging collaterals, opening orifices and resuscitation, which can provide reference for clinical practice and new drug research and development.

OBJECTIVETo observe the clinical efficacy differences between different needling methods for dry eye syndrome.
METHODSSixty patients of dry eye syndrome were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, 30 cases (60 eyes) in each group. Shangjingming (Extra), Xiajingming (Extra), Tongziliao (GB 1), Cuanzhu (BL 2), Fengchi (GB 20), Hegu (LI 4), Sanyinjiao (SP 6), Taixi (KI 3) and Taichong (LR 3) were selected in the two groups. The control group was treated with conventional acupuncture, while the observation group was treated with guiding-acupuncture. Electroacupuncture (EA) was used at bilateral Tongziliao (GB1) and Cuanzhu (BL 2), 30 min per treatment. The treatment was given three times per week. Totally 1-month treatment (12 treatments) was given. The eye symptom score, breakup time of tear film (BUT), Schirmer Ⅰ test (SⅠT) and visual analogue scale (VAS) score were compared before and after treatment in the two groups. The clinical efficacy was compared between the two groups.
RESULTSCompared before treatment, the eye symptom score, BUT, SⅠT and VAS score were improved after treatment in the two groups (all<0.001); the improvements of eye symptom score and SⅠT in the observation group were superior to those in the control group (both<0.05). The differences of BUT and VSA score between the two groups were not significant (both>0.05). The total effective rate was 86.7% (52/60) in the observation group, which was superior to 73.3% (44/60) in the control group (<0.05). .
CONCLUSIONThe conventional EA and guiding-acupuncture combined with EA are both effective for dry eye syndrome, and the efficacy of guiding-acupuncture combined with EA is superior to that of conventional EA.
