The temperature pressure relationship of mixed gases in the autoclave was analyzed with Clausius Clapeyron equation, Boyle's law and Dalton's law of partial pressure Antoine equations discribing the P T relationship inside the autoclave with different residual air were built up according to data published and a method calculating the temperature from values of manometer was introduced The necessity to efflux the air from the autoclave was explained theoretically

Objective To evaluate the effect of selective angiography and embolization for the pa-tients with haemodynamically unstable pelvic fracture. Methods Sixty-two patients with haemodynami-cally unstable pelvic fracture were treated in our hospital from 2002 to 2008. Their pelvie fractures were classified on the basis of their X-ray and CT data. By AO classification, there were 2 cases of type A2, 6 B1, 9 B2, 8 B3, 16 C1, 13 C2, and 8 C. There were 6 cases of open injury (by Gustilo classification, 1 type Ⅱ and 5 type Ⅲ). Of the 46 eases of multiple injuries, 12 had shock. While active fluid infusion and vascular medication were conducted, the angiograph was done for all patients, 59 of whom also received embolization. Results Seventy-nine angiographs were performed for the 62 cases, and 12 of them received more than twice angiographa. Exams revealed that 32 patients had suffered injury to more than 2 arteries. The injured arteries were sequentially superior gluteal artery, iliolumbar artery, lateral sacra] artery, obturator artery, inferior gluteal artery, internal pudendal artery, internal iliae artery and external lilac artery. Of the 59 cases of embolization, 56 were successful. Seven patients died due to severe abdominal organ injury. Forty-five patients got an average follow-up of 14 months (range, 6 to 52 months) . No severe complications were no-ticed. Conclusions Selective angiography and embolization is an effective intervention for patients with haemodynamically unstable pelvic fracture. It is mandatory to conduct recurrent angiographic embolization for patients with multiple artery injuries or delayed artery injuries.

Objective: To investigate the spatio-temporal distribution characteristics of pulmonary tuberculosis in Ningbo City from 2015 to 2020, so as to provide insights into tuberculosis control. Methods: The data of pulmonary tuberculosis cases in Ningbo City from 2015 to 2020 were collected from Tuberculosis Management Information System of China Disease Control and Prevention Information System, and were linked with the geographic information database of Ningbo Planning Design and Research Institute. The software SaTScan version 10.3 was employed for monthly spatio-temporal scanning and cluster analysis of reported pulmonary tuberculosis cases, populations, longitude and latitude in 153 townships of Ningbo City from 2015 to 2020. Results: There were one class Ⅰ cluster and two class Ⅱ clusters of pulmonary tuberculosis cases in Ningbo City from 2015 to 2020, and the class Ⅰ cluster was centered in Song'ao Township and covered 37 townships, with aggregation time from January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2017, while class Ⅱ clusters were covered 38 tounships which were centered in Sanqishi Township of Yuyao County, and one township in Hangzhou Bay New Town. The aggregation time was from January to June in 2015 and 2016, from March to August between 2017 and 2019 and between May and October, 2020. The overall reported incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis appeared a tendency towards a decline in each township of Ningbo City from 2015 to 2020; however, the incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis was more than 80 per 100 thousand in Fuming Township of Yinzhou District and Juexi Township of Xiangshan County in 2020. Conclusions There were significant spatio-temporal clustering characteristics of pulmonary tuberculosis incidence at a township level in Ningbo City from 2015 to 2020, and the clusters were mainly concentrated in the central and eastern Ningbo City. The reported incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis is high in Fuming Township of Yinzhou District and Juexi Township of Xiangshan County, where targeted regional tuberculosis control strategies should be implemented.

Objective To investigate the relationship between peripheral inflammatory cytokines and anxiety symptoms in patients with the first?episode generalized anxiety disorder. Methods 48 patients diagnosed with the first?episode generalized anxiety disorder according to ICD?10 criteria and 48 healthy sub?jects were recruited. Peripheral levels of IL?1, IL?2, IL?4, IL?5, IL?6, IL?8, IL?10, IL?12p70, GM?CSF and IFN?γ of both groups were evaluated by enzyme?linked immunosorbent assay ( ELISA) ,and CRP was evalua?ted by immunoturbidimetric method. Generalized Anxiety Disorder Scale( GAD?7) and State?Trait Anxiety Inventory ( STAI ) were used to assess the levels of overall anxiety, state anxiety and trait anxiety. Results The levels of CRP ( ( 1. 19 ± 0. 80 ) mg/L vs ( 0. 68 ± 0. 70 ) mg/L, t=3. 31 ) , IL?1α( ( 70. 34 ± 3.60)pg/ml vs (16.94±3.42)pg/ml, t=74.50),IL?2((7.25±3.42)pg/ml vs (4.95±2.31)pg/ml, t=3.85), IL?4((102.02±73.14)pg/ml vs (75.55±32.78)pg/ml, t=2.29),IL?6((12.55±2.37)pg/ml vs (2.71±1.35) pg/ml, t=14.79),IL?8((44.64±16.21)pg/ml vs (35.69±11.70)pg/ml, t=3.10),IL?12((18.16±24.17) pg/ml vs (10.82±4.72)pg/ml, t=2.06),IFN?γ((23.32±15.52)pg/ml vs (16.48±6.80)pg/ml, t=2.79), GM?CSF((19.07±11.12)pg/ml vs (13.40±8.54)pg/ml, t=2.80) in patients with the first?episode general?ized anxiety disorder were significantly higher than normal controls(P<0.05) . Both SAI and TAI had signifi? cantly positive correlation with the levels of IL?1α, IL?2, IL?6, IL?8, IL?12, IFN?γ and GM?CSF ( r=0.24?0.76, P<0.05) . Conclusion The levels of some peripheral inflammatory cytokines in patients with the first?episode generalized anxiety disorder are significantly increased,and they have positive correlation with gener?al anxiety,state anxiety and trait anxiety,which may suggest some immune system defects in the patients.

Objective To investigate the predictive value of pregnancy-associated plasmaprotein-A (PAPP-A) and GRACE risk score for death and nonfatal myocardial infarction (combined endpoint) in AMI patients.Methods All AMI patients hospitalized in our department during July 2011 to July 2015 were included consecutively in this prospective study.Plasma PAPP-A were measured at admission.GRACE risk score was acquired with the application of GRACE risk score calculator.Patients were followed up for at least 1 year for any nonfatal myocardial infarction or MACE.Kaplan Meier survival study was analysed according to PAPP-A and GRACE score risk stratification respectively.A cutoff value of 3.0 ng/ml of PAPP-A was chosen from pilot work in this cohort.Results A total of 220 patients were enrolled in the study.The death and nonfatal myocardial infarction during follow-up were significantly higher in patients with PAPP-A≥3.0 ng/ml compared to patients with PAPP-A<3.0 ng/ml (15.7% vs.6.0%, log-rank χ2=5.684, P=0.017).The area under ROC curve of PAPP-A was 0.796(95%CI 0.696-0.896, P<0.01) and the ROC curve of PAPP-A GRACE risk stratification was 0.715 (95%CI 0.567-0.863,P<0.01).Subgroup analysis showed that death and nonfatal myocardial infarction during follow-up was significantly higher in patients with PAPP-A≥3.0 ng/ml compared to patients with PAPP-A<3.0 ng/ml in intermediate and low risk group by GRACE risk stratifcation (log-rank χ2=14.63,P<0.001).Conclusions PAPP-A could predict mortality and nonfatal myocardial infarction in patients with AMI.PAPP-A combined with GRACE risk score can better predict outcome than GRACE risk score alone in intermediate and low risk patients by GRACE risk stratifcation.

Coronary slow flow phenomenon (CSFP) is an angiographic diagnosis characterized by delayed peripheral coronary perfusion in the absence of significant epicardial coronary lesions.Cardiac structure and systolic function of most patients had no abnormality,but there might be recurrent chest pain with impairment in quality of life.Therefore,it is very important to diagnose and assess CSFP using noninvasive,easy and safe technique.With the development of echocardiography in recent years,CSPF can be quantitatively and qualitatively analyzed with conventional echocardiography,two-dimensional and three-dimensional speckle tracking echocardiography and myocardial contrast echocardiography.Progresses of echocardiography in evaluating CSFP were reviewed in this article.

Objective To evaluate the clinical application of SWI and DTI of MRI in the diagnosis and prognosis of diffuse axonal injury (DAI).Methods A retrospective case series study was conducted on the clinical data of 16 patients with DAI admitted from January 2015 to December 2017.There were nine males and seven females,aged (56.3 ± 4.1) years.According to Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS),there were seven patients with 3-8 points,eight with 9-12 points,and one with 13 points.All patients received head CT examination on admission and then received head MRI examination within one week to record the number of lesions on T1WI,T2WI,DWI,and SWI in CT and MRI examination.On the DTI sequence,five regions including the subcortical white matter,the corpus callosum,the thalamus,the cerebellum,and the brain stem were selected for measurement of the apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) and partial fraction of anisotropy (FA) values.The Glasgow outcome scale (GOS) was evaluated 6 months after injury.The linear correlation between ADC,FA values,GCS,and GOS on admission and after 6 months were analyzed.Results The statistical analysis of CT,T1WI,T2WI,DWI and SWI in 16 patients showed that the detection rates of DAI lesions were 25.6％ (43/168),30.4％ (51/168),44.0％ (74/168),51.8％ (87/168),and 100％,respectively (P ＜0.01).The ADC values of the subcortical white matter,the corpus callosum,the thalamus,the cerebellum,and the brain stem were 0.830 ± 0.148,0.536 ± 0.169,0.838 ± 0.596,0.708 ± 0.157,and 0.713 ± 0.135,respectively,and FA values were 0.487 ± 0.103,0.142 ± 0.040,0.293 ± 0.089,0.212 ± 0.045,and 0.366 ± 0.797,respectively.The GCS on admission was (8.9 ± 3.3)points,and GOS was (4.2 ± 1.0)points six months after injury.The correlation analysis showed that the ADC value and FA value of subcortical white matter and cerebellum were not related to GCS and GOS (P ＞ 0.05).The correlation strength of ADC values in each region with the GCS score in descending order was the thalamus,the corpus callosum,and the brain stem (P ＜ 0.05 or 0.01);for ADC with the GOS score,it was the corpus callosum,the thalamus and the brain stem (P ＜0.05 or 0.01);for FA with GCS and GOS scores,it was thalamus,corpus callosum,and brainstem (P ＜ 0.05 or 0.01).Conclusion The SWI has better sensitivity to detect DAI lesions than CT and conventional MRI sequences.DTI can accurately,objectively and visually detect the integrity of cerebral white matter fibers.Both SWI and DTI can help make early diagnosis and evaluate the prognosis of DAI patients accurately.

Objective To assess the efficacy and safety of nonablative 1 565-nm Er:Glass fractional laser in the treatment of striae gravidarum.Methods The left and right sides of the abdomens of 30 subjects with striae gravidarum were divided into 2 groups by simple randomization:treatment group treated with nonablative 1 565-nm Er:Glass fractional laser every 4 weeks for 3 sessions,and control group receiving no treatment.These subjects were followed up at the baseline,4th,8th and 12th week.At the same time,photos were taken,the skin flexibility was evaluated,and the width of striae was measured.Four weeks after the final treatment,clinical improvement was evaluated by 2 doctors,who were blind to the therapeutic protocol,according to clinical photos and three-dimensional (3D) images,and satisfaction scores were also evaluated.Skin biopsies were taken from the left and right sides of the abdomens of 3 subjects,and subjected to histopathological examination.Four months after the final treatment,all the subjects were telephoned for evaluation of adverse reactions and recurrence.Results A total of 27 subjects completed the whole trial.Four weeks after the final treatment,25 (92.6％) of the 27 subjects were considered to achieve an improvement by doctors.However,21 (77.8％) of the 27 subjects considered themselves to achieve an improvement.After 3 sessions of treatment,the treatment group showed a significant decrease in the largest width of striae from 4.852 mm to 3.296 mm (P ＜ 0.001) and a significant increase in skin flexibility from 0.803 to 0.878 (P ＜ 0.001).Histopathologically,the control group showed obviously atrophic epidermis and decreased collagen and elastin in the dermis,while the treatment group showed thickened epidermis and dermis,extended rete ridges,and increased collagen and elastic fibers which arranged more regularly.Immediate adverse reactions during the treatment included erythema and edema,and other adverse reactions included mild crust,itching and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH).PIH was improved at 4 months after the final treatment compared with that at 4 weeks after the final treatment.Conclusion The nonablative 1 565-nm Er:Glass fractional laser can markedly improve the width and appearance of striae gravidarum,and increase skin flexibility in the treatment region.

Objective To evaluate the safety and efficacy of the combined treatment with an optimized intense pulsed light (IPL) and a non-ablative fractional laser (NAFL) for facial rejuvenation.Methods A prospective,split-face,randomized,controlled study was conducted.A total of 22 testees with facial photoaging,who aged from 35 to 55 years,were enrolled into this study from the Department of Dermatology of Peking University First Hospital between March and June in 2017.By a random number table,the two sides of each testee's face were randomized to receive combined treatment with optimized IPL immediately followed by non-ablative 1 565 nm Erbium:Glass fractional laser (combined treatment group) or non-ablative 1 565 nm Erbium:Glass fractional laser alone (NAFL group) once every month for 3 sessions.Before the treatment,60 and 90 days after the treatment (1 month after the second and third treatment respectively),photos of the treatment regions were taken,skin physiology parameters (including skin melanin,erythema indices,water content of the stratum corneum,transepidermal water loss [TEWL],skin flexibility and glossiness) were measured,and subjective and objective clinical evaluation was carried out.After each treatment,adverse reactions were assessed by two dermatologists independently,including facial erythema,swelling and crusting,desquamation,pigmentation and pains.Results During the treatment course,1 testee dropped out due to pains,another 1 testee dropped out for personal reasons,and 20 testees completed the treatment and follow-up.The combined treatment group showed significantly decreased melanin indices on days 60 and 90 (152.9 ± 36.9 and 155.0 ± 38.1,respectively) compared with that before the treatment (168.4 ± 41.3,F =5.321,P ＜ 0.05).On day 60,the melanin index was significantly lower in the combined treatment group than in the NAFL group (159.4 ± 35.3,P ＜ 0.05).However,the melanin indices on days 60 and 90 in the NAFL group (159.4 ± 35.3,156.7 ± 36.3) did not significantly differ from that before the treatment (165.9 ± 35.4,P ＞ 0.05).No significant difference was observed between the pre-and post-treatment erythema indices in either of the two groups (both P ＞ 0.05).The water content of the stratum corneum on days 60 and 90 significantly increased compared with that before the treatment in both the combined treatment group (F =21.795,P ＜ 0.001) and NAFL group (F =21.798,P ＜ 0.001),while the TEWL on days 60 and 90 significantly decreased compared with that before the treatment in both the combined treatment group (F =8.848,P =0.001) and NAFL group (F =5.833,P ＜ 0.05).However,there were no significant differences in either of the water content of the stratum corneum or TEWL on days 60 and 90 between the two groups (P ＞ 0.05).On days 60 and 90,the combined treatment group and NAFL group both showed significantly increased skin flexibility (P＜ 0.05,0.001,respectively) and glossiness (both P ＜ 0.001) compared with those before the treatment.On day 90,the skin glossiness in the combined treatment group was higher than that in the NAFL group (P ＜ 0.05).The short-term adverse reactions included transient pain,erythema and swelling which lasted 2-3 days,and slight desquamation.The main adverse reaction was mild local pigmentation,which lasted 2-3 months and then subsided gradually.Conclusion The 3 sessions of treatment with an optimized IPL immediately followed by a 1 565 nm NAFL is clinically superior to those with the NAFL alone for improving the facial pigmentation and skin glossiness,and the adverse reactions are usually transient and mild.

Objective: To explore the potential causal association between adolescent compulsive behaviour and smartphone addiction based on longitudinal data, so as to provide reference for the establishment of adolescent smartphone addiction interventions. Methods: A preliminary survey and follow-up were conducted on 8 907 middle and high school students in a district of Shenzhen in 2022 and 2023, respectively. Compulsive behaviours were measured by using the Mental Health Inventory for Middle School Students-60 Items (MMHI-60), smartphone addiction was assessed by using the Smartphone Addiction Scale-Short Version ( SAS- SV), and the associations between compulsive behaviours and smartphone addiction were analysed by using multilevel mixed-effects models and subgroup analyses. Results: Smartphone addiction detection rates among middle school students were significantly associated with genders, father s education level, mother s education level, study load subgroups, and whether or not they were single-parent families, and there were statistical differences ( χ 2=17.21-175.34, P <0.05). Students with compulsive behaviours were 2.98 times more likely to develop smartphone addiction than those without compulsive behaviours ( OR=2.98, 95%CI=2.77-3.22, P <0.05). Subgroup analysis of middle school students without smartphone addiction in the first year found that compulsive behaviours significantly predicted smartphone addiction ( OR= 1.76 , 95%CI=1.54-2.01, P <0.05). Conclusion There is a potential causal association between obsessive-compulsive behaviours and smartphone addiction in middle school students, and obsessive-compulsive behaviours in middle school students could significantly predicted the occurrence of smartphone addiction.
